I'm not certain on whether it's a habit I'd encourage - taking photos of sleeping passengers on trains while hiding behind seats - but here's the evidence that Jake's made good on his word to Maggie and is now in London. These two photos of Jake were taken yesterday while on the Eurostar between Paris and London.
I'm surprised to see Jake travelling by train but it'll take far less time than messing around with airports and it indicates he may have been staying in Paris.
Thanks very much to the WDW reader for the tip.
Photos from here.
Travelling by train is also perhaps more impersonal (less chance of being spotted)and certainly more environmental. We know that Jake cares about the environment... and he gets to see the landscape, when he is not asleep, that is!!
ReplyDeleteSneaky though, taking pictures of him like that. So much for travelling incognito...
I think it's a bit creepy taking photo's when someone is asleep.
ReplyDeleteSo he has been in Paris, makes that blogger sighting of Jake and Reese all the more believable.
Creepy.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely and romantic way to go from Paris to London. *sigh* (I have got to stop doing that), but all of the Cannes coverage has been wonderful. Although he should be able to have some peace somewhere in the world without having his pic taken, but he's a star! :)
ReplyDeleteWell Jake I gotta say you are a braver man than I. There is no way you would get me on a high speed tin tube that goes through a tunnel that is actually designed to leak!
ReplyDeleteAnd you don't get sneaky people taking your picture on planes.
Hey ATD - the chunnel leaks?? Not sure I wanted to know that...
ReplyDeleteYeah it LEAKS!
ReplyDeleteApparently if it wasn't built that way the pressure from the water above would crush it. I don't know which is worse, knowing it does leak, or knowing that if it stops leaking it would leak in a really big way.
I'm just not going in it!
ATD - just stop now PLEASE!!! Why they couldn't build a nice shiny tube that just floats on the sea I don't know.
ReplyDeleteJake, take the plane back! Or the boat - they have good shops....
Jake is definitely braver than I am. The transbay tube in San Francisco is about as long as I would like to be under water. And that is only an 8 mile trip! As for the photo. He is precious beyond words!. Way better looking than most sleeping people.
ReplyDelete"I don't know which is worse, knowing it does leak, or knowing that if it stops leaking it would leak in a really big way."
ReplyDeleteATD I don't know if you realized it but that statement about sums up the whole dilemma of life's choices -- the puzzle, the paradox that is human existence. You might find those words turning up as my signature one of these days.
The tunnel is cool!
ReplyDeleteYes, the tunnel sounds very cool! And as much as I hate to think of him being hounded constantly for pics by fans and paps alike, even in what should be private time, he does look adorable sleeping. :)
ReplyDeleteSuch is the power of Jake and association that he has now made the tunnel cool for me too - a claustrophobe that also doesn't like water.
ReplyDeleteRegardless of the question of whether the picture should have been taken or not, it is a very beautiful photograph.
