Jake Gyllenhaal's culinary tour of DC continues - ice custard? What next?

Many thanks to IHJ for posting the picture below of Jake Gyllenhaal from last night, which is beautiful and inspirational. It merits a second post of the day.

IHJ have also given us new pictures of Jake and Reese driving around Washington DC on 22 June...

...and judging by Jake's outfit (although Reese's is different), one wonders if this was one of those trips to Rita's during which Jake and Reese posed with fans. I googled Rita's and I discovered it sold ice custard. Frozen custard? Can custard be frozen? Is ice custard a good thing?

Talking of food and drink, because there's been a bit of that, during the DC sojourn, there was this account today of Jake and Reese watching the first Nats game on Tuesday. They were 'Tuesday evening at the Potenza bar, sitting close to each other while they watched the Nationals game. Dressed supercasually, the pair drank Rosa Regale while enjoying the Margherita pizza. They later went over to the Potenza wine shop where they purchased a half case of wine.'

(Witherspoon’s fellow star, Jack Nicholson, picked up a to-go version of the same pizza Saturday. After all, if you can’t trust Jack with a food recommendation, whom can you trust?)

Today
: 'Jake Gyllenhaal is on M St in Georgetown w/ Reese Witherspoon right now. They were just in Hu's Shoes. Both wearing baseball caps.'

Pictures from IHJ and here.

  1. HI all, WE have frozen custard in my town in Arkansas USA. It is wonderful without all the fat. Not sure how that's possible. But I am loving all the new pictures of Reese and Jake especially the cozy ones with hugs.

  9. What a night... hi Sheba *)

I'm not a fan either, Monica, quite the contrary, but it is shocking. I'm very sad about Farrah's death to cancer - my close family is facing (please God defeating) this battle at the moment and it brings it home.

  11. Hi Carol :) As far as I can see, this all goes back to TMZ's report. I'm not a fan of Jackson's in the slightest but I feel for his family. I'm thinking of Farrah's family right now - this is such a dreadful disease.

  14. Hi there JakeFan - it's such a gloomy day :(

  15. I had a tought for Michael Jackson's fans too. All this media circus is giving me flashbacks to Heath's death... Why do they insist on showing horrible images like people in body bags? I'll never forget the punch in the gut it gave me when I saw Heath like that.

Someone very close to me is dealing with cancer too and will begin treatments soon so I know what you're going through. I'll be thinking of you and your family and sending good vibes your way.

    Have a nice day everyone!

I am still in shock over Michael Jackson. Was a huge fan during Thriller and Off The Wall. Broke the record of Thriller because I listened to it over and over every day. Sadly he just got stranger and stranger as time went on and I lost all interest. He was a true talent though, just had a disturbing way of being too childlike.

And a RIP for Farrah Fawcett. So talented and such a beauty. What a battle she faced and I hope she is at peace now.

    I pray for your family.

  18. Olympia agree with you. When i saw Heath in body bag it was one quite shocking experience.
Still i can't believe how some people can be so stupid especially one on Just Jared who claiming that Jake is gay without any proof.
    Hate that.. :))

  20. (((Olympia))) I'm sorry you're going through something similar. I've had flashbacks with these bodybags and Heath - I wish they wouldn't show them.

Thanks for the hug, Get Real *) I've not been a fan of Michael Jackson for years but back in the day I adored Thriller and Off the Wall. Unfortunately, I only have vinyl copies, which I can't play now. And it's so sad about Farrah.

    Thanks so much JakeFan

    Hugs to all *)

  23. Hi Flower :) I'm sorry for your loss.

People are all entitled to their opinions re Jake's sexuality - although it's obviously better if they're respectful opinions, tolerant of another's point of view (ugly comments are always best ignored or not read) - but neither gay nor straight = bad nor good. Life's complicated. Brokeback was a fine teacher :)

    Thanks Olympia *)

    New post!
