This is Jake Gyllenhaal, star of Prince of Persia, on the air!

Last night, Jake Gyllenhaal took over the airwaves of Radio Disney, where he answered phone-in fan questions and introduced Hannah Montana records for a full 2 hours. Apparently, Jake did start down the pathway of telling The Jellyfish Story, but the subject was changed once it was established that spit was not the right answer... Although we couldn't hear the broadcast in the UK, many thanks to Stephanie and IHJ for some video highlights and for talking me through it. Oh yes, never kiss an ostrich next to Jake, he doesn't like it.



Stephanie also tells me that a caller asked Jake what his favorite Disney show is and he said Hannah Montana. He'd had to have lots TiVod due to his busy work schedule. And that is why they played a Hannah Montana song at the end. Jake, tell me this isn't so!!







I will be back later with much more but I thought DJ Jake Gyllenhaal deserved a post of his own. Have a good Sunday [Updated to add that I do indeed know it's Saturday - it was a test - ahemm]!

    This was great WDW. I am looking forward to Friday when the Prince lands in my town. I am so excited and can hardly wait. I got my Prince Dastan toy, I love Jake!!!

    Thank you so much for these, WDW, those videos are fantastic, I love seeing him relaxed, having fun and enjoying himself. I really prefer this kind of interview where he isn`t so exhuberant and doesn`t seem to try so hard to be funny. He`s naturally charming and witty, he doesn`t need to force it.

    And boy does he look good right now, his hair has grown back a little, it`s almost the perfect lenght to my taste. :)

    I LOVE DJ Jake. And I love that he doesn't mind being put on the spot when asked to try his hand at DJ ing. He just stepped in and winged it.

    I wouldn't mind waking up to the sounds of Jake's sexy voice first thing in the morning.

    Hi everyone! Just got in after quite a day - fitted in PoP, then launched myself in to a very hot sunny day for a walk round Blenheim Palace gardens and immense park - fitted in one of Jake's afternoon teas. People were out doing a 10 and 20 mile Pink Ribbon walk - I don't think they were expecting so much heat! I am now as pink as their t-shirts...

    Hi there Olympia! I do agree that it's nice to see Jake being Jake. Blimey, I couldn't agree more - our Jake is looking hot!

    Hi Sweetpea :D I would have thought Jake's a natural for improvisation like this - he's such a talented and gifted performer :)

    It's cos I had Friday off - I'm a day out!

    Thanks Silver! I did see that. I should try and remember to put it in the post. I've entered so many of these - plus given questions to journos (although Jerry did answer my question which was fab!) and HeyUGuys did use one of the questions I suggested - so it never hurts to try again!

    Just updated the post as Steph just told me that Jake had said that Hanna Montana was his favourite Disney show and he was having to record it due to being so busy! That, I'm 96% confident, is a joke.... :D Maybe. Hopefully.

    Here in Arkansas Prince of Persia toys were limited. I found mine at Toys R Us, but there were not many to choose from. So I am lucky to have scored. Please keep us posted on the talk show circuit. I have Jimmy Kimmel on record. Thank You so much for all our Jake news.

    Hi Gail! Toys R Us doesn't seem to have much round here, but that might change now the film is out. I'll have a look.

    Hello!

    I was traveling yesterday and today so I'm now trying to catch up on all the good Jake stuff that's come out.

    These Radio Disney clips were great. I agree with Olympia it was nice to see Jake relaxed and not repeating the answers we've all come to expect at this point from standard PoP interviews. I loved watching his expressions as he talked to the kid Sam who called in.
