A belated Merry Christmas and a GyllenCatchUp

A belated Merry Christmas to each and everyone of you!

It is now the day after the day before and I hope you're still able to move your stomachs. No doubt this post catches you eating the last of your veggie turkey and wringing the last few drops out of your festive whiskey. Either that or you're down the shops buying toasters and cameras. Jake Gyllenhaal, however, has been up to his usual tricks of flying around and eating, not necessarily at the same time.

Perez Hilton was sent a photo of Jake with his old friend Adam Levine at the Mustard Seed Cafe in Los Feliz, LA, apparently taken on 21 December (but probably taken before Jake's birthday). This would mean that Jake was in NYC for his birthday on 19 December, flew back to LA for a day or two, and then was back to the East Coast in time for a number of sightings on 24 December, not to mention the holidays themselves. However, if there's one person who's not going to let something like a continent get in the way of a good meal it's Jake Gyllenhaal.

On 24 December, Jake was seen queuing up at Liquiteria in NYC. Apparently, this isn't another name for an Off Licence (UK) or Liquor Store (US) but a place that sells cleansing liquids, and not for the car or windows either. The same day Jake was spotted at a regular haunt, the wonderful fish specialists Russ and Daughters. Caviar as a Christmas starter perhaps?

I want to take this opportunity to thank IHeartJake for all their continued hardwork over 2011 and all the other years. They have just managed the feat of getting all the Source Code images up and for that they deserve an extra helping of Christmas Pud. There are also a few new on-set photos from Brokeback Mountain.

My review of Arthur Christmas is now on MovieBrit.

Wet Dark, this photo with Adam Levine was taken days before the anniversary of Jake.

  4. Merry ehr... Boxing Day, isn't it? :)
Always wondered why it's called that. Over here, we call it Second Christmas Day.

I hope you are all enjoying either a holiday or at least the idea of a short working week. Mine will only be Tuesday and Wednesday, hip hip hurray!

I'd like to join in on the applause for IHJ. What a fantastic job Steph has been doing for so many years now!

  5. Happy Christmas everyone we still have 11 days. Its lovely, peaceful and quiet yay. Hope its been fun and enjoyable for you all.

Love that new photo from Brokeback Mountain. Loved that last riverside scene.... well as if I could pick one defining scene :)

So much gratitude to IHJ , my cyber-introduction to everything Jake. Looking forward to catching up with all the posts I've missed Jake in NYC for everything. Its great because he can be more low key and kinda 'regular'. And the NYC folkes seem cool enough to leave him alone.

Keep up the great work Kate. Will say more when the new years eve post goes up. Also a special birthday too :)

  6. Hi Lady Ekster! It is indeed Boxing Day here, though for us that means a travelling day. A short week is wonderful. I'm very lucky, I have the week off :)

Great to see you, Sheba! I hope you're having a lovely Christmas :) I love that river scene too. I think I'll be watching Brokeback again this break - it'll be six years. Unbelievable! We have so much to be thankful to IHJ for :) And thank you! Can't believe it's come round again.

My review of the wonderful Arthur Christmas is now up at MovieBrit

  7. In Poland it's also a Second Day of Christmas. All the stores are closed. We spend that day with families.
Tomorrow - a regular working day :( It's difficult to go back to normal life after few days of feast and laziness. But thankfully it's only 4 days.
I'd like to join in on the applause for IHJ too. Thanks for everything!

  9. A belated Merry Christmas to all who celebrate - feels like I've been celebrating for days with all the food and drink I've consumed! (And since it's a vacation week it probably means more food and drink ahead - yikes)! Well, while eating, drinking and all around chilling out I will surely be doing all of that while doing some much needed internet surfing looking for all things fun (a/k/a all things Jake). :-) I agree that IHJ has done such a wonderful job of filling the photo gallery with such amazing photos - that will be my first stop during my internet fun time tonight since I am a bit behind in scrolling through the many photos uploaded there over the past couple of months (this was not by choice). So catch up time for me (and, yes, WDW - probably while consuming something RED)!! Hee hee!!

Happy End of December to all...I'll be back soon I'm sure!

    :-)

  12. Is it bad of me to be thinking of you because I seem to be indulging in quite a variety of "adult beverages"?! Ha ha! No...you know I'm thinking of you for lots of reasons (but I am enjoying the various "toasts" I'm making each day on this vacation)!! Cheers once again! xo
