At long last there is possible news of a potential future role in the works for Jake Gyllenhaal.
Dominic Cooper was set to star in Motor City as a criminal out to seek revenge on the man (Gary Oldman) who framed him and sent him to jail. Cooper has now fallen out of the film thanks to scheduling conflicts and Variety is reporting that Jake is in negotiations to star opposite Oldman and Amber Heard instead of Dominic. Albert Hughes is the director. The film is due to begin shooting in Berlin in April. More details from Deadline.

Thanks to BBMISwear for the link :-)
Isn't this WONDERFUL news!? Sounds like a very interesting movie; the script has only one line of dialogue? Of course, that could change - several times - before filming. Saw on www.deadline.com that "The film will begin shooting late spring in Berlin." If that's true, our friends in Germany have something to look forward to.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed! Hi Susan! Yes, filming is due to start in Berlin in April - coincidence? Excellent news.
ReplyDeleteFingers, toes, arms, legs, I have EVERYTHING crossed!
ReplyDeleteThe part sounds like a bad boy on a mission... and on a bike. WDW, I forecast a lot of faint moments for you! ;-)
Great news. I hope it's a bad boy part too:) Jake usually plays the nice guys (which I love) but it would be great to see him do something new:)
ReplyDeleteSounds good, eh, Lady Ekster?!
ReplyDeleteI really like the sound of it 22:03 :)
Good to have Jake in Europe again too!
This story sounds very interesting but the very little dialogue concerns me. Strange! Jake is said to be "in talks" at the moment so we'll see if anything more comes of it. But I like hearing, as you said WDW, "possible news of a potential future role in the works for Jake Gyllenhaal"! Something to get excited about during this long wait. Can't wait to hear more! :-)
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like it could be interesting. Fingers crossed it actually happens:)
ReplyDeleteGood cast too. The always brilliant Mr Oldman and the stunning Amber Heard.
Happy B day to Peter S.
ReplyDeleteThis is so exciting! At last good news. Let's hope, it will be confirmed. Looks like Jake's character could be a bit kind of a bad boy, he will have to deal with guys in prison and search for real bad ass - Oldman.
ReplyDeleteThat one line only sounds very intriguing, almost like a Clint Eastwood style. Could be interesting. Or being silent and an avenger is also kind of Charles Bronson way. All of them my favourite actors.
About Jake working so close&so soon, in Europe I am just speechless. Berlinale it was really a step in a good direction!
So Jake's next movie name would be John Miller ex-Army Ranger. Dear John!
ReplyDeleteIt's so exciting! Thanks for the good news! I really hope Jake signs with this movie! and I like Gary Oldman. so I'm thrilled to see if Jake star in this movie together with Gary. :)
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed!
Morning everyone!
ReplyDeleteA proper post on this coming later today! Very exciting :D I'm particularly chuffed that Gary Oldman is in it too.
Have a wonderful day!
