Jake Gyllenhaal makes New Yorkers fit and has a chat with Jude Law plus more An Enemy stills

Jake Gyllenhaal is not only personally responsible for making us all want to plant our own vegetables, he's not single-handedly making the men and women of NYC fit. Attendance at Soul Cycle classes has sky rocketed since Jake began to frequent them. There is however a downside. One might get fit but one also might get a broken leg: 'I nearly fell off my bike when I spotted him' said one poor Soul (Cycle) to the media.  A full fitness report can be consulted in the New York Daily News.

Meanwhile, Jake has been spotted having a chat with Jude Law in the streets of NYC, no doubt Jake was signing Jude up for one of his classes.

Yesterday, Jake was back out in NYC, in the rain but with a smile on his face.

On 26 April, Jake walked round NYC reminding us of Spring...

And we have some more stills from An Enemy (Enemy Within), thanks to IHJ!

Good times! Thanks very much to IHJ for the pictures!

  1. Hello everyone! So good to have all these images! And I love the Soul Cycle story. Almost enough to make me take up spinning again :) Have a good evening!

  2. Soulcycle story is funny. Interesting that Jake sticks to the same hour of cycling, so it's easy to find him there, but he seems to enjoy all of it, the attention as well.
I like An Enemy stills, especially that one with Sarah Gadon.
Have you noticed how much Jake is caught on pictures lately? It's so unusual for NYC' paparazzi. He had that in LA before. Good to see him smile.

  3. The Soul Cycle story really is cute. I wonder if he ever gets so intense in his workout that he starts to resemble the killer in the Time to Dance video? All the more reason to celebrate seeing a smile on his handsome face in a paparazzi photo.

  4. What's with Jakes beard? On the right there has been a little grey streak lately. Can't say what it actually is whenever I look at all the beautiful NYC-shots. It might also be a kind of grey-white ... I don't know ... ointment (?) because of a little wound/infection on his chin??!?? Huh?

  5. Gray streak in the beard? I think it looks like gray hair. He probably has to dye it when he's filming a movie where his character is bearded.

  6. He has a grey patch in his beard - he mentioned it once :-)

I hate seeing him angry when he spots them. Feel so sorry for him.

  9. Hi girls!
Jake already greying?? He's only 32!!
And if so, dear Amanda, is he really THAT vain about his looks to actually dye this little grey patch??? Oh dear.
    ;-)

  10. Oh, and talking about the photographs showing Jake and Jude Law on the streets of New York City -

  11. well, Jake is amazingly only human, most people start getting a few grey hairs after thirty :-) I guess it may look a bit too noticeable if it's not coloured while filming....he also has bald spot on his beard at the side. So cute! :-)

  12. Okaaaay, grey beard or no beard - Jake is still the most interesting and most versatile contemporary actor Hollywood can offer.

And I do like this cute left eyebrow with the funny direction of growth, the scar on his temple which - according to Jake himself - is a reminder of a matchbox car he once accidentally shoved in his face at age five, and this tiny and soooo appealing hole right in the centre of his forehead which unfortunately is so often "photoshopped off" when he is on magazine covers.

  13. All of these comments made me laugh sooooo much! ;-)

Poor Jake. If only he knew how much attention his beard is getting... It's supposed to be his acting we care about, guys! ;-)

  14. Hello, dear Sonja!
Yes, swooning about Jake's loveliness is probably not very grown-up and mature and a bit too teenage-like. Even though I looooove all the talking about his beard and his overall sexiness I still hope Jake will never come across this blog and read all this. Would make me cringe and blush.

So dear Mr Gyllenhaal, this is for you: Should you ever happen to read all these comments about how great you look, how great you are, how great you act - go away!!!!!!!!!!!!
    ;-))

  15. Just a quick stop by to say hello...I've been juggling a few projects at the same time so haven't been on line as much as I'd like. When I do get on line it is so nice to see how much Jake has been out and about lately - and we get to see pictures - yay! As far as the beard goes I think the little gray patch is quite charming but I will always prefer him without the beard - his face is just too beautiful to hide IMHO!

    Happy Friday all! :-)

  16. Hi everyone! Love all this talk about the beard - I remember really well all those discussions about Jake's grey beard patch back in 2007. He told us that Maggie had a grey patch in her hair and he had the bit in his beard. I like it, but I like it even more with no beard at all!

Hope you all have a good evening! So good to see you all! I've missed you over the last couple of days x

  17. So, the grey beard patch was also dicussed 5 years ago? I wasn't around back then :-(

But I agree with most of you, Jake is far too handsome to hide behind his beard... C'mon Jake, let your 'overall sexiness' shine without it! ;-)

    1. He didn't have a grey patch last year, he dyed his beard? Hope he shaves, so we can see his face again. The beard makes him older.
