Jake Gyllenhaal puckers up and some new old photoshoot pics

This gratuitous post is brought to you courtesy of this wonderful new video that has made its way to YouTube in which Jake Gyllenhaal kisses his way through nine movies (albeit in reverse). Yep, not only can you see the changing looks of Jake through such wonderful movies as Brokeback Mountain, The Good Girl, Donnie Darko, Prince of Persia, Love and Other Drugs, Rendition and Source Code, but you can also judge his puckering up skills. While obviously the kisses between Jack and Ennis pull at a very special heartstring that is preserved for this film, I must also admit to loving that kiss in Rendition. I remember when the film came out and we saw this scene for the first time and I don't think I was the only one to melt. And so, are there any special kisses here for you?

Apologies if this video doesn't work for you in your region. I'll try and do something about that (see comments).

Many thanks to IHJ for posting some new old photoshoot pictures of Jake. Here are a couple of my favourites. Noone wears a cardie quite like Jake. I miss you, hair! Even the face pet...

Jake Gyllenhaal out for a run (6 March) and looking good in colour and black and white

Jake Gyllenhaal was back pounding the streets of LA on Sunday (6 March). This time, as Jake's training seems to be stepping up a gear, Atticus got a reprieve along with breakfast in bed and a newspaper to chew on. One likes to think that the evidence fits that old trusty formula: Jake + increased exercise = new acting job about to begin.

Meanwhile IHJ has just made available the most stunning photographs from a People photoshoot. Some are in colour and many are in black and white. Here is just a selection. There are many more there.

Many thanks to IHJ for these gorgeous pictures.

Jake Gyllenhaal gives mum Naomi the Montreal tour and looks photoshootin' hot!

This weekend was a busy one for many of us - while some of us were out having afternoon tea by the seaside and marvelling at how unappealing meerkats are when you've seen half a million of 'em, Jake Gyllenhaal was giving his mother Naomi a tour of Montreal. This also gave Jake the opportunity to wear a jacket with an enormous amount of pockets and the biggest zip I've seen that isn't attached to a tent flap.

Aside from shops, Jake also took Naomi to eat at Olive et Gourmando. Apparently, Kirsten Dunst was also there and one likes to speculate that there was a catchup. After all, when you have both seen Jake dressed like this, there is a bond that cannot be broken.

And with extra special thanks to IHJ, we also have some more pictures from the Mysterious Photoshoot. I don't have too much to say about these because I'm too busy trying to decide which should be my new desktop wallpaper. Maybe the top one... or the one beneath it.

Many thanks to IHJ! There are plenty more there.

[Updated] More from the new Jake Gyllenhaal photoshoot! And more LAOD hints of what's in store

Updated to add, with huge HUGE thanks to IHJ, four more stunning photographs from Jake Gyllenhaal's photoshoot. The mix of indoor and outdoor, casual and sophisticated, and always beautiful and right in the eye. Thanks to Stephanie for the heads up!

Is that a bruise below on Jake's arm? Hopefully that's all better now.

It's difficult to even recall the last photoshoot pictures we had of Jake Gyllenhaal. Not counting the recent fabulous Leather Shot with Tobey Maguire, it's been quite a while (trying not to remember Ukelele Jake from the Interview shoot). But now with Prince of Persia rocketing towards us at a rate of knots, there's the promise of a GQ on the way and more. And here, with many thanks to IHJ, is a taster of what's to come.

Deep breaths... And another tweeter has posted comments affter a viewing of Loving and Other Drugs: 'Oh my... Love and Other Drugs... brilliant. And Jake Gyllenhaal's bod was effing magnificent.' 'This movie was def not Disney material due to excessive nekkidness.'

Also, delighted to see that IHJ has new HQ versions of two recent Prince of Persia, including yesterday's horse shot, which, on closer inspection, shows Jake and Gemma stunt doubles as well.

And there was I thinking nothing could beat yesterday's Gate.
