A closer look at the Prince of Persia - great new stills and a new poster

More stunning new stills from Prince of Persia today, including a closer look at Jake Gyllenhaal acting as a clothes line, one of our favourites. Others show that Dastan doesn't just have a battle on his hands with a feisty high priestess, he has a feisty horse too, Aksh (bless you). And then there's a close up of Jake in disguise - doesn't fool me for an instant. Plus some new Gemma Arterton. More here.

The film also has a new poster today, which looks very similar to the inside cover of Empire, which I scanned a week ago. Here is the Russian poster from ComingSoon.

Pictures from links.

  5. Aksh sure is a beautiful horse. Those new pics are great. You know, I could get used to starting each day with new pics. :)

I`ve read rumors that Jake could be presenting Maggie`s nomination at the Oscars, you know, like they did last year with a special presentation for every nominee. How great would that be!

  6. The photo number four looks like a painting. But I'm in love with the third photo.

Latino Review is going to showest to see Prince of Persia:
I'll be watching the movie in its entirety at this year's ShoWest. With both eyes open and my mouth agape.

  7. Hi everyone! I thought I had Jake to myself today :D

Hey TD! Oh yes... enjoyable D

Hi 12:44 :D It's a great poster, a lot going on and Jake right at the centre of it.

A great week, BBMISwear :-) Obviously the Gate was the highlight but there are some very close runners up. That picture of Jake in the new triler, that is so beautiful, I look at it all the time. It's the wallpaper on my iPhone as well. And now the Oscars!

Me too, Olympia :D That would be so amazing if Jake were to present Maggie's work like that. So moving and... well, I can hardly express how wonderful that would be.

That's such a beautiful picture, Monica :) I hope we get some reports from ShoWest - not long now.

Have a good day everyone! One the home straight to the weekend... :D

  11. I just got back from seeing "Alice in Wonderland." What I hadn't counted on was the possibility that they might show a trailer for "Prince of Persia" beforehand. After seeing the trailer, all I can say is, "Wow!"
What a great accent! Visually it's splendid! This will be exciting and romantic and a lot of fun to watch!

"Alice in Wonderland" was a wonderful, dark fantasy. Anne Hathaway was the only Jake link I could find. Interestingly enough, there were several links to the Harry Potter movies--Alan Rickman, Imelda Staunton, etc.

  12. BEautiful pics of the prince, Thanks so much WDW. I love the pics with the horse. I love horses. I was trying to figure out what breed it is. Arabian? (I had to find out what breed of horse was used in AKT too)

  13. Morning all!

Hi Paul! I don't want to see Alice in Wonderland but the PoP trailer beforehand is quite a draw! I saw it in Florida and it was just mindblowing.

My pleasure Sweetpea :) I love the horse pics too :D

    Have a good day everyone!
