Jake back in LA - and we never even knew he'd left!
It just shows that Jake Gyllenhaal has finely honed the art of keeping us guessing when it comes to his whereabouts. On 25 June, Jake very visibly returned to Los Angeles, where he was accompanied or met by the fun-looking redhead that we last saw in Cannes. And there was the lovely blonde ready and waiting to collect Jake. Rumours go that he has returned from North Idaho, where he may have been, or may not have been, in the company of last year's summer companions Lance Armstrong and Matthew McConaughey. The main thing to note, however, is that I was convinced that the next time we saw Jake the beard would be in full splendour, but no! It's gone, the hair is cut and, what's more, Jake is in my very favourite ensemble - white T-shirt, boots and The Jeans. You just can't expect to walk around an airport looking like that and remain unnoticed. So here's today's definition of beautiful - Jake!

I think I want a new job..... I've been getting a little bored in my current job, can tell I need a big change.
I'm pretty sure I want to be the lady that picks Jake up at the airport. I swear I am qualified for this incredibly important responsibility. I'm a very good driver, haven't had a ticket of any kind in many years.... I'm good at finding my way around without getting lost..... I'm punctual, so he would never have to wait on me...... and, most importantly, I'm a blonde woman!
I have a feeling however, that the current incumbent has NO intention of giving up her job. And who can blame her?
OMG...WDW...He is simply gorgeous..the short hair...the almost cleanly shaven face..the white t-shirt...those yummy jeans..."SWOON"....BUT..Idaho...? I am kind of leery of Idaho...thanks for posting...Michele
Well, I don't know what to say,WDW. I am almost totally lost to describe how I feel. Sometimes Jake affects me like that. There are times when I can go on and on about what a beautiful man he is. And times like now when all thoughts are stricken from my mind. He is just too overwhelming for words!

But as you say, I very much doubt she's ready to give up her unique Jake Pick-Up and Delivery business.

I'm not normally a big fan of newly cut Jake hair but this is the exception. He looks wonderful! I'm not so sure he was in Idaho but where?

How true Xenia - far too many women ;D But yes, Jake can do no wrong, all he needs to do is turn up in white t-shirt and jeans and I'm lost!
These are beautiful pics - especially that first one! I kinda like it when Jake gives everyone the slip. Yay Jake! You're right, those are some lucky ladies, whose job it is to escort Mr. Gyllenhaal to and from the airports and manage his schedule. :)
Hi Marina - yes, these are lovely pictures, no wonder Jake is always surrounded by these 'lucky ladies' :D I also like how Jake seems happy to be escorted and managed by a team of women!
Jake should go away more often if it means he comes back looking like this!! Loving the hair, the shaven face, the jeans (as promised by WDW ;) ) the white t-shirt (v-neck if you please, for that teasing peek of chest hair). I can even forgive him for wearing sunglasses indoors yet again! Oh and his smile in the third pic, standing at the top of the escalator....*sigh* And I'm glad to see he took my advice about standing on his own step on the escalator;)
WDW, I couldn't believe it when I saw your Jarhead post (I haven't read it yet but look forward t doing so later) cos I had half an hour to kill this afternoon so I decided to curl up on the sofa with a bar of Dairy Milk and a Jake DVD, and I just happened to pick Jarhead! Spooky coincidence!
Twisted Logic - Thanks very much for commenting. half hour sounds wonderful to me. I've been eating Dairy Milk myself this evening and Jake is a perfect accompaniment. I hope you like the Jarhead post.
And yes, Jake looks so beautiful here, Jeans and all - so glad they're back. Like you, I love seeing Jake back on the escalator!
I empathize with generous thighs!!! LOL!!! I think Jake's PA and I would be great friends. We might even exchange clothes from time to time!!!! And I'd certainly be willing to help with handling Jake. I read somewhere that Mark Wahlberg was part of the Idaho group. Later saw a picture of him at LAX that same day, but not with Jake. Jake doesn't seem like an Idaho kind of gut...to me. I think he might enjoy an accasional visit, but not longer than a week or two. I remember him talking about the isolation and the loneliness of BBM and Calgary.
Wow! And I'm sober, too. It should read "Idaho kind of GUY..." and the phrase was "...an occasional visit..." TYVM.

That's if he even was in Idaho. I hear that some of the other people on the list were actually spotted in different states so there's little evidence Jake was there. I seem to recall vaguely that last year Jake disappeared to a quieter state and this was again associated with finding property. I just don't buy it - and I don't think Jake would either. Like you, I can't see Jake living in the country.
Maybe thre was just some party going on somewhere, or work related. Sigh - we'll never know!
