A lot of things happened on Friday 19 December 1980, but I can't remember one of them. There can be only one reason for this lack of recall on my part - Jake Gyllenhaal was born and the rest is history. So, Jake, whether you're slaving away over a hot film camera in New Mexico or having a break with family and loved ones, happy birthday and cheers!
This post is a precursor to my main birthday post, which will be up later today - I couldn't wait until I get home from work today to start the celebrations! Incidentally, I just discovered Jake and I (and a huge proportion of the population) have something in common, we're both Monkeys...

Great way to start the celebrations early, WDW! Looking forward to the Birthday Post "proper" later on. Today should be declared an international holiday to celebrate the birth of The Special One (and no, I don't mean Jose Mourinho, I mean the REAL special one;). YAAAAAAY!!!! Thanks, WDW! It's Jakemas! I'm getting ready to man the fort. Being a bookseller six days before Christmas is probably one of the more arduous tasks I've ever set for myself!!!
But since today is Jake's Birthday, I can dwell on happy thoughts as my legs turn to stone and rictus in my facial muscles sets in as I smile and smile and smile.
I am foolishly grateful, each time Jake turns a year older....I feel less guilty:)!(Of course I also turn a year older, a scantthree weeks later, but we won't think about that!)

I may not get back later tonight to join in the celebrations. An early night is essential and tomorrow I have a horribly early start to take my Mom-in-Law out Christmas shopping. Hot Teddy is wearing his white tee shirt and sunglasses and Santa Hat. He looks wonderful! Bogart the Bunny is wearing a ski sweater and hat and mittens I ordenred from Vermont Bear Co - and Baby Boo has a guitar - I spent more money on outfits for these guys than on myself!
Hey Im cookin on all burners: scallops, mussels and so forth. Jonathan delivered the blue shit and tequila. And a VERY nice white wine. Hmmm. Can I change over, from this, I dunno!
