Jake on his fans 'But now they're actually real, so I feel much more sane'

There's only one day to go and so I hope you forgive me being brief tonight - I've a party to plan, drinks to buy, cakes to bake (buy), guests to invite and presents to wrap. I think I'll need more glasses. Because the special moment posts are about to start, and I know some people (naming no names) are finishing their's off, here is a final reminder from the hugely arty Twisted Logic.



Silly season

I'm sure you don't need me to tell you the silly season is here. While hoping against hope that Zodiac, Rendition, Jake Gyllenhaal, his co-stars and directors and writers will get a nod for their great work in 2007, Jake has won two more polls. In the first, Jake is a winner of a the Bachelor You Most Want to Kiss for Glam Celebrity Awards. Justin Timberlake is runner up, which feels odd to me as he is my distant second fancy. Other winners here include Best Tresses Jennifer Aniston and Adam Levine is the Celeb You Would Like to Grab a Beer With. The other poll is from People magazine, whose readers have voted Jake and Reese as the Most Intriguing Hook Up of 2007.


Brothers odds and sodds

More little pieces drift off the set of Brothers. One witness on IMDb refutes claims that there have been arguments on set between Jake and Tobey, maintaining today that 'there is no infighting between them despite published reports. They were joking around set the other day. production is going smoothly with a few hard shots taking longer than usual, this is going to be jim sheridans coming out party.' The same commentor also says 'they've been filming for weeks now at CSF in santa fe. They've shot with all three principal actors, and have routinely had dozens of marine extras in full camo around the lot. Shoots have been going on all day for weeks and weeks, the production will last until the end of january. A bar next to the college, "The Green Onion" was set up as a military bar. I've personally been on set, and can safely say that what I saw is some of the most ambitious stuff to come to New Mexico maybe ever. It's going to be a very good war/drama.'


Getting ready

As Jake becomes 27 in just a few hours, I wanted to post a couple of quotes here today, which feel appropriate to me. There are lots of quotes I could pick, but these seem right today. I think they go well with these stunning outtakes from a shoot for GQ Style put up on IHJ for us today.
