Jake and Reese leaving the gym 22 June and stars in DC

I get back home after a workout at the gym and what do I find but pictures of Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon going home after a workout at the gym? And while my workout has left me looking like a complete wreck of a human being with distressed hair, severe leg cramps, and in dire need of a stiff gin and tonic, Jake and Reese look as fresh as daisies dancing in a cool summer's breeze. I'm clearly not doing it right. Jake also has a new hat. Please note how I'm not mentioning the matching gym outfits.

These pictures at last prove true several days of twittering. Jake has been spotted, with and without Reese, in various Starbucks, cafes, restaurants, theatres and launderettes (I might be making that one up), predominantly in NW Washington DC and especially in Georgetown. Off topic but many years ago, I spent some hours on set with Tom Hanks in Georgetown. He put a young English girl totally at ease, sitting me in his special chair to watch him film the same scene over and over and giving me my love of the movies.

MY favourite sighting was posted at Jake-g-fans: 'I was working at the Georgetown farmer's market in Washington D.C., and then he was there buying vegetables. He bought $25 worth of cherries and strawberries and greens from our stand. And he was so sweet and gorgeous and conscientious and amazing and ohmygod, I SWOOOOOON. I was like, "you look just like Jake Gyllenhaal!" And he was like, "ahh, about that. That's me." And I almost fainted. But then I wouldn't have been able to sell him cherries! He walked around for a long time going from stand to stand. I wanted to ask him for a picture or autograph but I could tell he was trying to be low-key about it, so I didn't. But I wanted to! And he was asking tons of questions about the vegetables because apparently he loves to cook and HE COULD NOT BE MORE PERFECT.'

This is such a good sighting and almost makes me forgive Jake for buying, and presumably eating, cherries, which are the most horrible, horrible excuse for a fruit and which make me feel giddy just at the thought of them.

Off topic (again) but today in Oxford I noticed that filming was taking place at one of the colleges. It turns out the college had been taken over by Bollywood! I took two steps backwards.

Thanks to IHJ for the new pics.

I'm rather fond of cherries myself. In fact, I ate the first two cherries from my cherry tree today. :D They were lovely. Regrettably, Mr R and I were not wearing matching outfits at the time. :D.

Rubes! OMG, cherries have been brought into WDW.... I can think of almost nothing I dislike more, except artichokes and great white sharks. Sorry to hear you and Mr R were not wearing matching outfits, I try not to leave home without one. Have a good evening!

LOL! Love the market sighting! I wish I could have seen the face of that person when Jake answered "ahh, about that. That's me." It must have been priceless! :DDD

Thank you for not mentionning the matching outfits, I was trying like hell not to notice! :D At least he's not wearing The Hat...

Whilst today at Wimbledon...... Roger, yay. Blake *sobs*.

Their legs look super pale and super skinny *jealous* .

Oh and cherries are fab and full of antioxidents. Even better than strawberries. Seems like you're on a health kick WDW. Are you planning to wear your bikini finally?

EEEEE, I love the pics and even better is that sighting! How adorable he was going through the market in DC and, sorry WDW, I do enjoy cherries too. :)

Hi there Olympia! I know, I'm good for not mentioning the matching outfits :D I love the market sighting! I love that Jake was talking about the veg and cooking it - what a great sighting :D

Hey Sheba! I know - poor Blake - big commiserations to you. Tomorrow we have Andy - gulp. If only I didn't have to work.

Strawberries are good, cherries are bad - a well known maxim I grew up with. Yes, I'm on a healthkick - back to the gym and healthy eating (except when Rubes and Anouska tempt me with tasty morsels). It's going well but the bikini has a bit of a wait...

Hi Get Real! Oh no, the cherry lovers are ganging up on me... It's great to see Jake again - about time!

LOL at you all!
Matching outfits? I have no idea what you are talking about!! *keeps ignoring for her own good...*

And LOL at WDW looking being a wreck after the gym... You just have to pretend Jake and Reese have been there for fake and to show off their not matching outfits...

I loooove strawberries - and cherries are quite nice, too... I have strawberries a lot more often than cherries, though... Probably because with them it's only "throw in - chew - swallow" and no dealing with annoying cherry stones! :D :D
Congratulations to your first two cherries, Ruby!!

Nice story from the farmer's market! It is good to hear stories like that once in a while... I have the feeling a few years ago we heard them more often...

Now what's that story about you and Tom Hanks???

They remind me on high school kids :)
Reese look like she is sixteen i am so glad they still going strong.. people don't like her so much but i think she is great.. Jake obviously think same..
Little quiz:
Who you like the most J&R or J&K ??

I wish you all Good Evening. :)

Hi Uli! Yes, I'm not mentioning the matching outfits. I was complete mush when I got back from the gym. I think Jake and Reese should do some spinning classes.

I adore strawbs (although I am allergic to them - I ignore the side-effects and gorge on them). The leaf bit's a pain but even so.

My Tom Hanks experience is one of my favourite memories - I was 15. I need to go back to my mother's and hunt out the pictures. He was lovely. I was having my hair cut round the corner and I learned Tom was filming round the corner and he wasn't so famous then and he was very happy to chat with me and spoil me for the day. I have relatives in Maryland, so I spent a lot of time there years ago but that was my best experience. I won't hear a bad word against Tom!

maybe it's a Jake thing.. that matching outfits thingy. Remember he matches his biking outfits too when he went out biking with his BFF?

but seriously Jake... matching outfits? MATCHING outfits????????????????????? I am sorry, but 5 cool points deducted.

what are you all on about cherries? *g* I got some from M&S today, they are daylight robbing expensive.

think I'll get some strawberries and a bottle of bubbly and watch wimbledon highlights.

Jake - see you when you stop that matching outfits nonsense.

*waves to WDW*

I got "fantom" - there's something wrong with this fandom? I know - matching outfits!!

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hey Rubes - everyone gets all the good words, I get klingon.

Hi there Winterbird :D Matching outfits? I really hadn't noticed...

OMG M&S fruit - second mrotgage time. Excellent idea about the strawbs, champers and Wimbledon. I've been watching some of that this evening too while eating strawberries.

C Wright-Threwit said...

Their publicity people obviously thought the matching outfits would look really cute and make them look such a together couple in their impromptu photo-op (cough!).

I say sack the PR people, cos it ain't working. Just off to find a sick-bag....

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hi there! Never mind the matching outfits, what about the cherries?

Carol said...

I really like the farmer's market sighting story:)

Not sure I'm too gone on the his 'n hers fitness gear either:(

I've seen some pictures of Reese on set with the lovely Paul Rudd. Looking forward to seeing the movie.

Hope everyone is having a good evening. I'm still recovering from a rather mad weekend involving The Prodigy, Oasis and sleeping in my car!!

I tried to get into that woman's LJ but it is restricted. I wonder if Jake might revisit that market. I also wonder if Jake is vegetarian (or turned vegetarian since I heard she is.)

I do know he loves to cook. He can cook for me anyday

Matching outfits. Wow they wore the same colour tops and shorts, no matter that they were completely different styles they. What idiots some people are.

Reese and Jake brighten my day :)

Cherries..i love cherries!! sorry Wet Dark! :P not the glaced ones though they are revolting..fresh ones aree deliciouss especially in a pie! YUM.

Anyway..on a wimbledon note - its a shame about laura robson :( she did well on her debut though, i spy an up and coming star, also, yay for Federer :)

Tomorrow Roddick!!! My favourite :) He's quite the hottie.

I'm getting sick of these people being horrible about J & R just leave them alone and get on with your own life..

By the way.. the match outfits.. probably a dare ;)

Who invited the Anons? It's probably one Anon, actually. Oh well. Moving right along...

I love cherries! Strawberries too.

Moving right along again...

Yep, a Washington Nationals baseball cap on Jake. What a disappointment. And with the Red Sox in Washington, DC for 3 nights in a row too. Hmmmm....I wonder if when he goes to one of those games he'll wear his Red Sox cap or Nationals cap?! I'd hate to call him a traitor...but...I guess we'll see. *sets DVR*

Ok, moving right along...

Hey my word is uliounci...in honor of Uli...Hi Uli!!

That's it! Good night! :-)

Uli said...

Anons... Sometimes you just gotta love them, huh? *rolls eyes*

Had to comment because of the uliword!!! *waves to BBMISwear!!!!*

My word this morning: laymeked - looked like lay naked at first sight...

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Anna said...

OMG, you mean they're NOT matching outfits? Well, I probably need new glasses... I'm happy again. :D

Uli said...

Well, Anna... The Daily Mail says those are matching outfits... And as we all know The Daily Mail is a trustworthy publication. This means you can go back to being disappointed...

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Good morning everyone!

First off - ignore the boring Anons. Also foul language isn't acceptable here - use it and you're deleted. You are, however, perfectly entitled and indeed encouraged to slag off cherries.

Hey Carol :D Your Oasis weekend sounds like an adventure! I hope you had a good time.

Hi Sweetpea :D That LJ community the spotter commented on is run by Stephanie. I don't think Reese is a veggie as she's been seen eating burgers and hotdogs.

Hi Silver! Noooo, glazed cherries - UGH! Cherry pie? UGH!

Wimbledon was exciting yestderday - poor Blake. Today is going to be great - I can hear the old refrain... C'Mon Andy!! Roddick is hot though, that's true. A dare is one possibility :D

OMG, BBMISwear! That's not good - Has Jake turned his back on the Red Sox? When they're in town? I always thought he was a big fan, he's certainly said so. Please watch the match with your eyes peeled :D

Hi there Uli! Yep if the Daily Mail says they're matching then they must be matching, even though I'm not mentioning it myself.

Chuckling at Anna!

Have a great day everyone - very warm and sunny here, which is odd as it's Wimbledon :D

winterbird said...

Morning! maybe this year we'll get to have 2 weeks of sunshine because of wimbledon - you know, because they addedt the "roof" this year, so it WON'T be raining!
*g*

Jake still looks hot and you have to love it when he shows some flesh (the legs, the legs!), but there's something silly in those pics, and I wonder why... oh yeah, the "matching" outfits! (Sorry, WDW, I can't help it - it's not cute!)

have a lovely day everyone... gorgeous day outside... thanks to wimbledon :P

ps. Roddick has a great body :) Even though I am a Federer fan.

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Morning Winterird! Yep, put a roof on it and it's bound to mean a hot and sunny summer - take it down and we'll have floods.

Ooh, those legs - sigh :)

TD said...

Hi WDW!

I'm happy to slag off cherries!

however

I'm also happy to slag off Andy Murray. ugh. uh oh. Yay, Federer! So sorry about Blake :(

Why did they put a roof on Wimbledon in global warming? I wonder what William Hill's taking for it not raining at all these weeks.

I also hate floods. No mention of floods please. Been there, done that.

Love Tom tho' . Angels & Demons beat Terminator hands down. heh. heh. heh.

My word is 'undedia' - but it's (Jake's) too hot for vampires.

Jake, Anne and Reese are now all apparently doing 'pharm' pics next? Maybe they are having a dig at pharm companies in order to get back at them for the prescription drugs Heath took too many of?
