Jake and Reese shopping in SoHo, NYC, 6 June
Demonstrating that there are cameras in New York City after all, here are pictures of Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese in the Big Apple courtesy of Stephanie and IHJ. While neither Jake nor Reese look happy, despite having evaded cameras for over a week, it's good to see that Jake has passed the hat baton to Reese. Jake's hair is growing and the face fluff is gone - is there a reason for this? Whatever that may be, good to see you, Jake!

Before coming here, I was watching Rendition on HBO Brazil.
Jake definitely does not look happy these days. He should be happy he was able to dodge the paps for several days before these showed up. He had to know it would only be a matter of time before they found them. And I bet they'll be getting an apt or someplace to stay while she is filming her movie. So there will be more pap shots. Sorry to say he better get used to them. They are the IT couple and the paps won't leave them alone.

Also wondering what is up with Jake's hair... Just too lazy to go to the hairdresser or longer hair in order to attach extensions to get a mullet??? Argh, LOL!
He is looking good, but yeah, not too happy... :-/

Finally something that brings smile on my face :)).. Agree with Anon and Uli, Jake looks so good but not that happy.. his smile become so rare but we all know reason.
I watched Rendition three times in last two weeks on Cinemamax.. :))

Hi Anon :D I do agree that Jake's done well evading the paps for so long. I think on his own he can stay under the radar more. There will be times when they find him and Reese and I'm sure it's not pleasant but Jake has always known it's a price for being successful.

Jake is soo delicious, the way he move and his hair.. his looks is poison for all woman, but as Sag i notice something in common with him. The way he smile is so similar to mine. :))
His behavior is still childish.. Love it :))
And that actor with him is famous not only from Pinocchio i watched him at several movies. :)))

Good to see him!! They had good weather yesterday so it does not surprise me that they were papped. Today is also beautiful so I wonder if they will be around the City again. Even though he does not seem happy about the paps he looks really good, imo.

That one with Reese hiding her face is funny.I've never understood why celebrities do that and Reese does seem to use that tactic quite a lot. It only drives the paps on even more I think.
Jake does not look at all happy but they did do well keeping out of the paps way for the last week.
I'm liking the hair but shudder to think the hair growth is in relation to the dreaded mullet.
Hi Carol! I don't get the hiding the face thing either. They're very fortunate to be able to shop like this in some of the finest shops all round the world - one would thing the paps between the boutique and the chauffeur driven car shouldn't be too hard a trial! Fortunately, as you say, Jake manages to avoid them all together much of the time.
The mullet is not a happy thought at all! Hmmm, I wonder if Jake'll be filming anything else between now and late Sept (if LOG turns out to be true of course)...
I learned in film calss that a good movie always opens with a "Gotcha" scene. One that grabs your attention. Gavin Hood understood this. That shot of Jake four minutes into the movie is stunning. To say the least.
Gavin Hood should have won an Oscar for that scene alone, Anon! Gavin understood the appeal of Jake - I hope future directors do too (including Newell) :D
Celebrities hide their faces, or dress in the same clothes, or the same colors repeatedly, or walk separately, to ruin the shot so the photographer either can't sell it or they won't get as much money for it.
I do agree Jake used to be a lot easier about photographers. I think maybe they shout out things and they are more agressive and rude lately. There is undoubtedly a reason for it.
Hello there Mrs Pattinson! How's Rob? (and which hotel are you in...? ;D) That's a good point about why they do t but I do wish they didn't. I also think it's a bit of a vicious circle, the more sullen and angry you appear before paps the more they're gonna try and wind you up for the angry shot, which I'm sure also sells. I hate to think though about the stuff that the paps yell out - it would be so nice if everyone could just be civil! I think, on his own, Jake generally gets less attention (not from us, obviously...).
When Jake is out alone, he probably takes whatever happens with equanimity. When Reese is there with him, he seems to be protective. It's hard to know whether the paps are more interested in Jake or Reese, or the two combined.
The fan pics and messages are a different matter. They aren't doing it for a living, but out of love.
