Midnight set visits, budweisers, margaritas - and Andi Peters!

Last night was a late one for the cast of How Do You Know? and it included a visit by Jake Gyllenhaal to the set in Georgetown.

Further evidence that the night was a late one comes from none other than Andi Peters, much loved and adored by any child and teen (including myself) of the 80s and 90s who had a thing for Ed the Duck. First, Andi announced that he 'Just stood next to Jake Gyllenhaal whilst queueing in a shop' - this was about 1am - and then that 'The shop was Rite AId, it's like Boots (with food and drink). He bought some Budweiser, I bought protein shakes.' Budweiser.... this from a self-proclaimed drinker of Stella Artois. I fear the world as we know it may end.

Another report has Jake and Reese and others indulging in pomegranate (deep breath) margeritas at the Mexican Oyamel restaurant in DC, which has the most extraordinary menu of tequilas known to mankind. Not only that, the chef gave them his cookery book. A further description, and recipe, of the margarita in question from the Oyamel bar menu: 'Oyamel Pomegranate: A twist on Jose’s favorite with pomegranate, Partida agave nectar, Patron Citronge and Jose Cuervo Traditional $11.00.' I'll have a jug, please. Cheers!

This site is quite relief.. no hate, no Jake gay or Reese beard comments. Thanks Wet Dark.
I think Jake and Reese look happy, they find truly happiness after destructive relationships and they finally move on.
Love margaritas.. Does anyone here try sangria.. my first drunk experience :)

Hi there Flower! How I love margaritas :D But I'm a purist, no fancy flavours - for me it's just lime. I can't drink sangria since a certain experience when I was in Spain when I was 17! I only have to look at it and my legs wobble!

Good morning, wet dark!

I like caipirinha. Someone has already proved caipirinha?

Robert Pattison hot??? Noooo
Paull Rudd is hot!

Nailed will debut in January?

Hi Monica! Paul Rudd is definitely hot!

Oh, I do hope this is true - and thanks for the link - but I just clicked on their link and it went back to a 2009 date to be announced page. But this is something to keep an eye on - thanks! Fingers crossed :D I'll take any date...

I've not had caipirinha - what's that like?

Seems like we have a general consensus here that Paul Rudd is hot! :)

now... if only we could get Paul and Jake together... hmmmm...
oops... sorry! *g*

margaritas are great in most forms. my favourite is frozen lime margaritas!

Sangria is definitely one to be avoided, Flower!

Thanks for that link, Monica :D That sounds delicious. I'd not heard of
cachaca, sounds delicious. I'm not a fan of sweet drinks - I like bitter and tarty drinks - anything with lime is good.

We do, indeed, Winterbird :D I know you appreciate a good margarita too. My favourites are the frozen lime ones I've had in Florida. I'd love to share a margarita jug with Jake :D I'll suggest it to him...

I do like the sound of a pomegranate margarita! :)
I'm going to pretend that Jake was actually buying Budwar, a decent beer.

I like Paul Rudd, he's cute. :)

Hi Rubes! Maybe we should try one next time - we do like our red drinks (as opposed to the blue drink, we didn't like that very much...). Noone can say I'm not dedicated, I've got home and now sitting outside in the sunshine with my minilaptop and a stella - just checking if it's as good as I remember it. It is. Maybe Jake wanted a Stella and all they had was Bud.... Budvar is Great! Paul Rudd is cute as well as hot. Is he brainy too?

I can't see the tennis from here...

OMG - my word is poodicca. I do apologise for that :D

I would be happy to see Jake drinking Budweiser. Or Aqua Velvas. Or any kind of coffee....

Paul Rudd would be good to see in a movie. Ryan Reynolds, too, as I think he has been wasted in a lot of films lately.

I know there are people here who are not fans of Shia Laboeuf, but I've been reading about him. Imagine being a standup comic at ten years of age! He has no illusions about talent and acting.
As long as he picks appropriate roles, he will do fine...

Does anyone know how Jake's future projects are faring lately?

Oh! I vote for Ryan Reynolds too! I saw The Proposal yesterday and really enjoyed it. I didn't think the ending was believable but it was still fun. And OMG Ryan Reynolds! Very sexy. If I ever need someone to replace Jake in my fantasies, Ryan will do just fine. :) Don't worry, Jake, you're not being replaced, but you never know... if you keep wearing That Hat... and I will not mention the matching outfits I did NOT see you wearing... :DDD

Caipirinha... Very nice, but lethal. It tastes so good you don't realize how strong it is. Risk of becoming seriously silly = very high. ;)

I'm posting while watching the NASA documentary. They've just got to Apollo 11. Its making me want to watch Apollo 13 and October Sky. What amazing times! This doc has even got an interview with Neil Armstrong - isnt that rather unusual?

I love these pics of Jake visiting Reese, wow what I wouldn't give for a boyfriend like Jake to visit me at work. And from Reese's face, I think she thinks so too!

But Jake and Paul Rudd...aww.. that's sweet too! *g*

PS my word is 'nonag'. Uh huh.

Hi there everyone! Just got back from a superb midsummer's evening out exploring the countryside on the Triumph. Gorgeous :D Old pubs, medieval churches, woods and even some Roman ruins.

Hi there Paul :D It's difficult to say how Jake's future projects are faring - the only one with something resembling near certainty is Love and Other Drugs. I wish there were more. I'll be very happy to see Jake working again :)

Hey Olympia! I can't wait to see The Proposal - it looks great! Unfortunately it's not out here for ages.

Ooh Anna, you're definitely sellling it. I must keep my eyes open for a bottle of the lethal stuff :D

Hi TD :D I just caught the end of that documentary. I'm loving all the space programmes. Apollo 13 is one of my favourite films. I've seen three space shuttles take off and it's an amazing sight. Yep, Jake must feel free to meet me at work any day of the week :D

I hope everyone's having a good evening :)

TDizzy said...

Have you really seen three shuttles take off? You mean, in the flesh (er..metal?) You were actually there?

Wet Dark and Wild said...

I have, TD :D Two quite close up at Cape Canavaral and another from some miles away. I remember many years ago seeing the shuttle fly over here riding on the top of a 747. One of my favourite memories is talking to an astronaut at Cape Canaveral and asking him what it was like to leave Earth. I'm a big space fan! (Must be why I like Star Trek :D)

TDizzier said...

Oh. My. God! You've done so much!...Would you tell us how you came to be there and what the astronaut said when you asked him that?

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Good morning everyone!

Hey TD :D I used to coincide trips to Florida with potential launch dates. The astronaut told me that when the space shuttle takes off let noone tell you they're not terrified to death. Sounds reasonable!

Have a good day :D

I think space is pretty cool too, WDW. Bless you, and let us both hope that we see Jake in a movie about space travel before too many years.

Thanks Paul - that's how I feel too *)
