But as for where Jake is today, one tweeter has hinted that Jake may be back on his favourite holiday island of Martha's Vineyard.

Well the Chilmark Road Race is tomorrow...I think it's the second Saturday in August every year if I'm remembering correctly. Maybe he's running again? Oh I hope so! Not that I am going to have a chance to make it to Martha's Vineyard until the end of the month *heavy sigh*
I am loving the hair and sideburns and wonder if it's his choice or for his LAOD's character. Hmmmmm.
In other news the Brothers trailer is now on Comcast On Demand (my local cable carrier) so I am able to watch it on my big screen TV and record it on DVD to watch over and over and over again. :-)
Re: Yesterday's post...it was beautiful...the post, the article and the comments got me good. So good, in fact, I couldn't make it through the first time I tried to read it as I started crying. I tried again this morning to no avail. I will be emailing you, WDW, for the document version as the little I read I don't think I've seen it before (which isn't typical for me and BBM)! I did make it through the comments though and have a lot to say but am in some weird emotional funk that isn't allowing me to say much without getting upset. Just know I echo what so many of you all said and, once again, it's good to be in good company. Oh what this movie does to me. I will say that the first couple of times watching it after January 22, 2008 were so very hard but I really "needed" to see them again so I made myself get through it. Same with all of Heath's movies - I've only been able to watch a few since that horrible day but I'm slowly forcing myself to do it and look forward to the day seeing him only brings me joy. Right now it's a combination of joy and pain which is why I've only been able to get through a few. But I miss him too much not to try. Such a double edged sword it is. All of it.
I guess I was able to say more than I thought, huh? Did I say more than Olympia? (hee hee hee)!! You poor people that actually may have read this rambling...LOL!

I think the hair etc must be related to the role. Or maybe he has to grow it longer first so that there's scope for them to play with hairstyles etc.

Many years ago (early 1990s?) a friend of mine invited a small group of her friends for a weekend getaway at her place in Martha's Vineyard. She tooks us on foot through some neighborhoods, pointing out where some people lived (The Gyllenhaals were not yet residents then, but James Cagney was), and along a central lane that few tourists even know exists. We saw the gingerbread town, and watched the sun set over the cliffs at Gay Head. One tradition that stands out on MV is that celebrities leave their celebrity status behind when they go there. High rank will not get you a better place in line or a better table at the restaurants.
Anyway, this is the time when people are most likely to be in vacation spots. Heck, most of my relatives are on the beach in New Jersey now. If Jake is in MV for the Chilmark race, more power to him! I hope he's playing some tennis, too. ;-)
Paul, your gorgeous, rich comment makes me long to see this beautiful island. I'm very fortunate that I'm heading to New England later this month, to see some of the places where my family lived decades ago, and I'm hoping to get across to MV and watch that sunset for myself :)
