Jake Gyllenhaal on the Red Cross PSA - Get ready for Mini Jakes

Jake Gyllenhaal didn't appear on the Telethon last night - along with a few others who had been named in the original list - and a couple of Twitters have placed him in San Francisco last night. Nevertheless, there is a quick, fleeting and very gorgeous glimpse of Jake in the Red Cross PSA for Haiti, which likewise didn't appear on Oprah as advertised, but is now around for us to see.

It does make one wonder where this information comes from in the first place. Rather coincidentally, as I write this post, I am watching a repeat of the telethon on the UK's TMF Channel that I just found while heading to the weather forecast.

Get ready for Mini Jakes

We've been told about the lego and now we have some images of the other Jake Prince of Persia toys that we will soon be manipulating into all sorts of positions, courtesy of McFarlane. Here we have Desert and Warrior Dastan, armed and ready for action.

It was a good thing indeed to see Brothers with friends today. Many thanks to Ruby, Anouska and Winterbird for their excellent company. I can wholeheartedly recommend the Tommy Margarita.

It's a very important comercial and is so good to see Jake involved in it.

These action figures are much better than I thought.
The second is the best.

Something tells me that the third is not Jake. I think it's a warrior.

Hi there Monica :D I do agree - it's very good to see Jake on this advert. If he is in San Fran, maybe it's work keeping him from the telethon.

I love these figures - very artistic, full of action. I think the third one is supposed to be Jake too (as same costume and weapons) but the face isn't so good. It's a whole new world, this world of movie and game toys. But Iike it.

Hope you're having a good weekend!

*Sigh* My stupid computer won't let me post my whole comment so I'll try to do it in 3 parts.

Are those figurines really supposed to look like Jake?! They need to work on the face, there's something wrong with it. If they can make them more Jakelike, I'll have to buy the whole set and the Legos. And another thing, none of the clothes are removable, are they? There should be at least one bare chested Dastan, Jake worked really hard on those muscles. :D

Yay! It worked!

To answer Sheba's question in the last post, Cliff79 is a red Cabernet Shiraz from South Eastern Australia. I'm not any kind of wine expert but I liked it, it was good with my homemade pizza. Maybe I'll try it with some pasta tonight. :)

I'm almost done. :D

And to BBMISwear, my BBM viewing was great, the first part of the movie before they come down the mountain was pure bliss. The second part is always harder and I always end up crying my eyes out but I can never watch one without the other. I'm still in love with Jack and Ennis, Ang is a genius and Heath sure did look good on a horse. :D

Hey Olympia! Sorry about the computer problems - thanks so much for persevering :)

I hope they do fine hone Jake's face on some of these. I do like the costumes though. I wonder how bendy they are!

Thanks for the info on the wine - sounds delicious. IMF you make homemade pizza?! Love that!

I posted at the same time, Olympia. Your comment treminds me why I must watch BBM again very soon xx

I have to apologise - I have a new iPod Touch and can I type on it? Oh, no :D that was supposed to say OMG - I have no idea how it came out that way! Just very impressed by the homegrown pizzas, Olympia!

LOL! Ah! OK. No wonder I couldn't figure it out. :DDD

I am definitely getting my own Jake Gyllenhaal action figure if and when I can find out where I can buy it!!

I like the action figures a lot!

I just got back from a nice dinner at the Rainforest Cafe. It's the place I love to go in January.

Yesterday I saw "The Tooth Fairy. " I couldn't not go, as Julie Andrews is in it. Billy Crystal is hilarious! He is a link to Jake, as both were in "City Slickers."

Thank you for clearing that up for me WDW. I was looking for Jake, but they panned the celebs so quickly (it seemed the focussed in on the celebs in the front row) that I couldn't tell who was sitting in the upper row seats.

so as far as we know he's in San Fran.

The action figures look cool.

thanks

I'm no wine expert either but I'd hate to know that the wine tasted horrible with that name attached to it. To be red and a Shiraz to boot is fab. Thanks for the info.

Bring on mini Jake. As we wait for the life sized version I'll settle for that. It will have pride of place beside my King Aragorn chess piece.

My word is blessne - my hope for all of us that really need it :0)

Good morning everyone! I'm suffering from the aftermath of seeing Jake Gyllenhaal on a big screen: Jakeneckitis. I've done my neck in so please don't move around too much.

Me too, Dailing! I'll have a little desert army of them :D

Morning Paul! I love Rainforest Cafes! I always enjoy the ones in Orlando - they put me in a holiday mood. I think there's one in London (?) but I've not been to any over here.

Hi Sweetpea :D I saw some of it on the repeat I came across last night. I was getting a bit frustrated as they weren't saying who the people were performing. Telethons are very different beasts over here!

Morning Sheba! It does sound like it would be hard to go wrong with a shiraz with such a name :) Yep, my collection of green dragons and ducks is going to have to move along and make way for Mini Warrior Jakes - I hope he doesn't go for them...

Have a good day everyone!

Mini Jakes are yum! but I think they should have longer legs... look at the real thing, please :)

Jake looked like he was in a some hotel room when he did that Red Cross PSA. I suppose those lists are all preliminary, just people who have shown interest of doing it, but last time changes happen. I caught some of it on ITV News... somehow I couldn't imagine Jake sitting behind those phones now. But he did his part to help.

Morning!

Not such a bad problem to have, WDW, 'Jakeneckitis' - hee hee!! Glad you and the gang had a good Brothers day yesterday.

I do like the action figures but honestly think they could have done a better job on Dastan's face. Maybe they did do a great job but those of us that spend so much time looking at that face are going to pick up on what they did wrong while the rest of the world only sees what they did right? If that makes any sense. The clothes, poses and details are wonderful and I will be adding shelves to hold them!

Oooh, Paul, the Rainforest Cafe! I haven't been there since my son was young (he'd drag me there all the time). Great memories...maybe I should check it out again.

I love this, Olympia, as I am the exact same way: "but I can never watch one without the other". As hard as it is sometimes when I watch Brokeback it's from beginning to end - not a second missed. I know so many people that say they sometimes stop when things start going bad or watch the scenes they like best. I've never done that - I can't watch bits and pieces of Brokeback - it's all or nothing with me when it comes to this movie. I watched Candy yesterday and cried my eyes out...but needed to I guess.

My curiosity has the best of me since all sightings of Jake this weekend have been in San Fran, Oakland and Berkley. These cities are all close to each other so it sounds like he's in that area and bopping around a bit. And there's been a few mentions of yoga. It made me laugh thinking that maybe his prep for Source Code is to get into some type of zone so he's spending time doing special yoga classes?! LOL!! Well, whatever he's up to I'd like a photo so maybe Californians in that area can take note!

Have a great Sunday everyone! :-)

Hi Winterbird! Ooh yes, longer legs please :D I might be wrong but I think that recording was done in an office block. I'm glad he took part in it. It would have been very strange seeing Jake man the phones!

Morning BBMISwear :-) Yes, maybe Jake's character in Source Code is an ex-marine yoga instructor :D It is intriguing thinking of Jake in SF and I hope my friends there keep their eyes open! Yeah, get those cameras ready!

I'm having a relaxing day, hope everyone else is :D

Hello WDW. This is tpe from ej. I moved to nyc in early December, so I have been a bit out of the loop the past month. Your site is a good digest for catching up on all things Jake.

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Good to see you Tpe! Thanks for getting in touch - I hope the move went well and good luck for 2010 :D I think it could be filled with Jake :)

Tahnks WDW. One can only hope that we have our fill of jake movies in 2010.
