Anna Kendrick has been talking to Collider about 50/50 but while she did it there were a few words about a film I think we're all interested in - End of Warch - in which Anna plays the girlfriend and then wife of Jake Gyllenhaal's character. The whole experience was nothing less than 'crazy for Anna.
It was 'really loose, lots of improv, almost no thought towards continuity and editing, which is really freeing, because a lot is shot as handheld video. And we ended up shooting an entire trip to Las Vegas, driving out there and driving back and everything that we did in Las Vegas, without any script whatsoever. We shot continuously for fourteen hours which was... crazy!'
wonder interview. I can't wait to see EOW (I also want to see 50/50)
Jake has been doing what seems to be his usual about this time of year. Spending it in the big apple. He was spotted in MOMA on Weds. plenty of tweets about his whereabouts, but here was someone who took a shot of him outside the MOMA Cafe

I don't think he looks lumberjack, and his hair is not long yet.
Thanks Leslie. That poor/lucky woman sitting right next to Jake. She doesn't at all seem comfortable. Either she's not a big Jake fan (why?) or she just doesn't feel comfortable THAT close to him.
What would I give to be in her spot that very minute.
And I agree with Sweetpea - still a long way till Sasquatch, more like face kitten.
Anna was lucky too, shooting for such a long time with Jake in one piece. I wonder like it almost felt real to them and if Jake misses not having someone for roadtrips like that in his life.
I just realized I put my comment in the wrong spot so deleted it and put it here instead (not that I'm saying anything earth shattering - LOL - but just wanted to make sure you know I missed this place WDW)!! So, Helllooooo and it's great to be back! A work project has kept me from doing much of anything fun for close to a month and that includes not getting to visit WDW for a few weeks. Ugh...that was horrible I'll tell ya! I'm just not a happy camper without a daily (or at the very least an almost daily) dose of WDW. :-( So it's great to have the work project be pretty much a part-time gig at the moment (after countless hours for months) and equally great to have just read each and every WDW post that I missed (it took me a few nights to do so but it was so much fun)!!
I love the many new/old pics popping up and the sightings in NYC (note to New Yorkers: More Pictures - sorry Jake but I can't help it)! Speaking of New York...Jake's and my team didn't do so good in the baseball department, but New York sure did. Don't ask.
On a different note I, like everyone else here it seems, am looking so forward to more on the release of EoW (and what Anna describes of the trip to Las Vegas sounds amazing)! Also looking forward to any tid bits we can get a hold of regarding the "next project"!
Thanks for keeping things going around here WDW (even when there isn't all that much news to report). You always make it entertaining no matter what in my opinion! Oh...and I loved your recap of your Toronto experience - great stories!!! I haven't had a "story" in a while...and no time to even think about a future one. Sigh.
That's a nice interview with Anna Kendrick and very interesting to hear her talking about the filming style of EOW. I can't help but think that David Ayer's technique in creating this movie is going to get an incredible amount of attention.
Sounds like a lovely interlude, Kate. It's getting cooler here but there's been lots of rain off and on so the weather can be promising one minute and dreary the next.
I've missed you, too, BBMISwear. Figured you were either busy with work or kidnapped by aliens because not much else could keep you away from WDW!
I want to see 50/50 very much. it looks like a very good and funny movie.
Nice interview with Anna. I like her more and more. Lots of improvisation, constant handheld filming during that trip to Las Vegas - it seems like a lot of fun. And an interesting experience for them. I hope that the rumour about that differently made movie will bring huge audience to the cinema. I have a really nice feeling about EoW. Can't wait to see it. Kate - in Poland is warm, sunny beginning of the Fall, as well. With chilly mornings and evenings. Probably that's why I got a light cold. That fish pie looks good.
Thank you girls for fresh Jake's photos. The beard is nice.
Hello! Sorry for being quiet today - hugely busy and far too stressful a day for a Friday - deep breaths and now I can unwind :)
Thanks for the links, Sweetpea and Leslie!
You and me both, Mrs JG!
So, so, so good to see you back, BBMISwear :-) I have missed you so much! But I know how busy you've been. I hope you can take it easy for a bit now. You deserve it. And thank you! x
Thanks Susan! The weather here is extraordinary for the UK at this time of year! Hitting 80. I know that's nothing for your next of the woods, but blimey for England at the turn of October? And no humidity, which is lovely. I totally agree about the attention End of Watch will get - it's been great learning it's so different.
Thanks Mermon! Ooh, sorry you're not feeling well...
Sounds like a lovely evening WDW. I told you I'd bring a bucket load of sunrays back from Spain!! ;-) It's been great weather here all week, too, and that's especially wonderful since a friend of mine is getting married tomorrow. Imagine that, getting married in October with no need for a coat or even sleeves! :-)
I really liked getting to know more about that Las Vegas trip. Thanks for the video. And there we were, us, bright, intellectual Gyllengals and we kept coming up with possible explanations for those photos and their closeness and the wedding ring etc etc... Makes it all so funny girly-silly now that we know the real reason. *grin*
Good morning, good to be back on WDW :-) I had a quite busy time at the office over the last few weeks so I could only be here for some minutes sometimes. Now I hope it's getting better. I liked the posts a lot and also your interludes, Kate. Always make me think of spending my holidays in UK. Can't wait for EOW being released. Enjoy a sunny weekend everyone (in Germany there's a bank holiday on Monday, so it's a long weekend). Christina
Great to hear that "the BAFTA girls" are back together again today - I'm sure you had a blast! And thank you for being glad to "see me back" WDW (although I may drop by so many times now you'll want me to take another break - hee hee)!
Susan - you made me laugh so much with "Figured you were either busy with work or kidnapped by aliens because not much else could keep you away from WDW!"! So very, very true!!
Happy to see more NYC sightings today...still wanting more pictures though. (again, sorry Jake)! :-)
Hey BBMISwear :-) We had such a great time! It was wonderful - and in the heat too. I will never ever wish you gone, I love it when you're here and with me x
I hope you've all had as wonderful day as I have :) Thanks to Ruby, Anouska and Rob for a lovely time.

Another one HERE. Must be the same timeframe.

I'm thinking that EOW might be the next "Blairwitch project" which did fantastic.
This might just be Jake's big hit...

Morning everyone! October 1 and England is the hottest country in Europe! Definitely making up a little for our AWOL summer...
Welcome back Lady Ekster!! And thanks so much or bring us that sun back as promised :) have a lovely time at the wedding! What a day for it!
welcome back, Christina! ooh, a holiday weekend - very nice. we don't have another of those until Christmas unfortunately.
It's good to see everyone returning from holidays, working away!!
Have a wonderful day - I'm off to see Ruby and Anouska! The Bafta girls back together again :)

My review of Fast and Furious 5 is up at MovieBrit
My sense is that Jake would excel at improvisation. I'm glad he got that chance during "Rnd of Watch" filming.
I saw "I don't know how she does it." I think it was better than he critics thought it was. The main Jake link is Busy Philips.
Good to see you, Paul! I think so too.
I saw Shark Night 3D today, not many Jake connections there (except if he likes sharks...)
