Memories of TIFF and 7 September

With a day to go before the end of what has been a fabulous year, today I'm remembering 7 September 2007, which was not only one of the best days I've ever experienced, it was also important and so memorable for more than one member of the community here. This post is dedicated to each of you.

The Toronto International Film Festival couldn't have come at a better time for me. Nothing helps you get over these little trials better than a Jake Gyllenhaal adventure and the company of some fellow Jakers. This flying visit was spectacular from the very beginning - although arriving at Toronto's airport probably no more than 10 minutes after Jake walked through it was a little... vexing. I saw the luggage carousel from his plane (as I later discovered) and it was just about empty. But that evening, while walking off the jetlag and enjoying the heat, I came across what turned out to be Jake's hotel - the Hazeldene - and I couldn't believe my luck that, just as I was about to head back to my hotel, I saw Jake leave his hotel and be driven out of the back in one of the festival's infamous SUVs.

Staying at the hotel where the press conferences were taking place was a bonus and, thanks to a kind Australian journalist, we found out when the Rendition press conference was and we were able to watch Jake and the others enter the side door. Even better, when they came out, we were close enough to speak to Jake and Peter, get an autograph or two, whilst almost being smothered by the paps behind.

I was papped too! Here is me (far right) talking to Peter, Jake having been driven off just a moment before.

That night we went down to the Roy Thomson Hall and waited inside the foyer for Jake to walk through to the lift. The attendants were great, by the way. They seemed to realise what all this meant to us. Jake's friend Chris came through first and then Jake turned the corner (the cries of 'Jake! Jake!' were a clue he was on the way) and he walked smiling past us, being rushed and pulled along by the lady we saw at the Baftas and in Cannes. We then ran to get our seats in the balcony - in the rush I noticed Reese walking past me to the right and managed to get a photograph of the back of her head - this goes nicely with the other picture I took of the back of Reese's head in Rome. She doesn't half walk quickly.

Watching Gavin Hood, Kelley Sane and the actors come on stage one at a time, was a wonderful moment. It did mean though that I didn't get to see too much of the film. It was overwhelming and I was grateful to the friends on either side. The film received a standing ovation. We went back to Yorkville to enjoy the party atmosphere. Later that night, I saw Peter and Chris again in the street and heard that Jake and Reese were at George Clooney's party round the corner. An amazing day and I have to thank Bobbyanna, her lovely daughter, Becky and Felicia for their wonderful company. In the picture below, the other ticket is from the Rome gala.

As we were having our amazing experience, so too were another trio, Em, Missy and Thomas from EnnisJack. I am so grateful to Em for her account of their adventure, which she sent me to share here. I also know how much their account of the whole encounter meant to everyone at EJ; both Christie and Rosie have said that to me. Em, Missy and Tomas' Jake encounter made the frontpages of the Toronto papers and, it's hardly surprising because they got Jake to sign one of his Brokeback shirts, which he did, above the heart. Here are Em's words and, as many of us know, Em is a fine, fine writer and she just took me write back with this. The video follows.

'My favourite Jake moment of 2007 is at the Rendition World Premiere at the TIFF. No surprise, because I can be heard screaming Jake's name in a manner that would make even a banshee cringe in horror in the vid I shot of the event. I remember standing there amidst a crowd of people, what must have been a sea of nameless faces to Jake, and feeling like, for a brief moment, he knew me. Such a fanciful notion, I know, but it seemed like all around me was chaos and the only time everything became quiet and still was when Jake was standing in front of me.'

'I went with two EJ friends, MississaugaRed and Thomas. We also had one of the shirts Jake wore for the confrontation scene in BBM, a piece of clothing Thomas had purchased at an auction. We had no idea what we were doing because this was our first time at the TIFF. But, somehow, we stumbled upon the perfect spot to catch a glimpse of Jake because we were surrounded by TIFF veterans who knew some of the senior volunteers and officials. When those around us realized we had Jake's BBM shirt they were determined to help us in getting it signed. When Jake showed up, the TIFF veterans around us called out to one of the officials, Cheryl, and told her we had one of Jake's shirts from BBM and could he come over and sign it?'

[I love this 'wow' moment from Jake - WDW]

'I could feel my dear Thomas trembling beside me when Jake came within sight of us. Thomas asked Jake to sign the shirt and Jake immediately said, "Yeah, sure." Jake looked down at the shirt and he mouthed "Wow" and carefully signed the shirt on the left side, above where his heart would have been if he wore it. Thomas said "Thank you" and Jake kind of nodded and gave a little smile but his eyes were very soft and solemn. And, you know, he didn't say "You're welcome" but, standing there, I felt welcomed. I felt like Jake had invited us in, just for a few intimate seconds, into his world.'

'As soon as Jake was whisked away we ran across the street to get in line for the screening with only fifteen minutes to spare. While we were in line I showed both Thomas and Missy the vid I just took and we still couldn't quite believe what we had experienced just minutes before. We couldn't wait to tell our friends that Jake had signed the shirt. Little did we know that while we were watching Rendition, Associated Press released a picture of Jake getting his picture taken with one of the TIFF veterans beside us and in that picture both Thomas and Missy are beaming at Jake in adoration!'

'So that's my favourite Jake moment of 2007. In fact, one of my favourite moments EVER in 2007. Thomas said it best when he said there are so many things to love about Jake. But the best thing is...Jake brought us all together. At the TIFF. At EJ. At WDW. Whether he's doing Snakes On a Plane, calling himself Jake Gooberballs, or simply signing an autograph...there's a very real sense of hospitality within him that seems to invite us into parts of his world. Through that, he becomes ours... and we become his. And being in Jake's world is a good place to be.'

This picture of mine below is another of my famous nearmiss photographs. Except for showing Jake's feet, this could well be just before the event described by Em.

I discovered afterwards that two others were there that night - Chillinwitgyllen and Get Real. CWG can have been no more than a few feet away from me in the theatre foyer and it's such a pleasant feeling thinking both CWG and Get Real were also in the auditorium. Here are a couple of pictures that CWG sent me from that incredible time. Next time, I trust we can all do it together!

Includes pictures from IHJ, WDW and Em.

WDW,thanks for this.
(Just put Eldest Daughter, Lisa, on a plane back to NYC, so I'm a little..."verklempt"...) You brought back some really special memories and that video is wonderful. Just...wow.

Ruby said...

Great post WDW. Thanks to everyone who shared their experience. I remember getting text messages and wishing I was there with you all.

How great to get the shirt signed. :D What a wonderful thing to have.

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hi Bobbyanna - great memories, eh? I hope Lisa got an extra hug from me :D

Hey Ruby! It would have been great if you'd been there too! I remember calling you from the bar (drinking Stella) just within sight of the theatre after our earlier encounter. :D

Ruby said...

Oh yeah, I remember that phone call. You had come over all unnecessary! :D And made me very envious.

Wet Dark and Wild said...

'Unnecessary' is one word for it! Two more are 'blathering idiot'. A bit like we were on Bafta night!

what a great post to relive those magical moments :)

Is that "infamous" Peter's signature on Jake's face? lol... so funny!

the encounter EJ members shared was just unbelievable. I love that "wow" moment from jake too! you can see he was looking at the shirt with care :)

Anonymous said...

This is a beautiful story. Thanks to the EnnisJack folks for sharing it.

WDW, dunno how you do it, the rollercoaster of emotion ...

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Thanks Winterbird! And yes, that's Peter's signature, all the way across Jake's face!

That 'wow' moment is absolutely wonderful beyond words. If any moment could show me how much Jake means then it would be that one. And the fact that he so signed the shirt so carefully, above the heart. Oh blimey...

Hey Anousa - there's nothing else you can do - just throw yourself in and hope you're not going to drown... A drop of the local beer helps, I find :D

Even spam sounds pretty in Italian.

Except it's Spanish isn't it. I'll get some water now.

Wet Dark and Wild said...

.... and it's now gone :) Was it Spanish - looked like Tweeble to me :D Don't bother with the water, get some more wine ;)

Ruby said...

Spanish spam - is that like chorito or something? ;)

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Maybe it's like a colita?

I've been looking at these pictures again of Jake on the red carpet and you see all the cameras behind and above him. I find it incredible. What must that feel lie? And then to sign your shirt from Brokeback? I think Jake knew how special he is to us all - and I love that he gets pure moments of knowing that.

So the paps have finally realized that WDW is, in fact, star material, and have begun to stalk her. Remember us when you're on the silver screen next to Jake, WDW! Ooh, and get me an autograph! And tell me what he smells like! (I do see that this Thomas fellow was within "smelling distance". I wonder what he has to say on the subject?)

But--Maaaaaan!!! I wish I could have gone Gyllenhaaling too. :(

Damn you, real world!!!!
The way things should be:
real world < jake fantasies

But yeah, I like 7 Sept too, if only because it's my b-day. Would have been so much better if Jake was in it, but attending a "Jake" function is definitely on my list of things to do before I die.

Oh, and I loved the WOW Jake. I think my heart must have skipped a beat when I read that part.

Ruby said...

'z'

(It was missing from my last comment).

I think the shirt maybe brought back some memories for Jake too.

Oh, WDW, so lovely darlin. Thank you so much for including my account. As I told you, the memory of this event is sometimes so bittersweet. Like you love something so much it hurts to know that it's over. But, reading it here again reminded me of all the people I shared this moment with. Not just my EJ brother and sister, but with all those I had yet to meet. Thank goodness Jake is hard at work and let's keep our fingers crossed TIFF 2008 will mean another Jake appearance. Imagine the kind of coverage we can provide? The mind boggles! A whole WDW multi-media experience!

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hey Haalin! That's your birthday?! Well, what a great day for it. Talking of birthdays, did I mention it's my birthday in 3 and a half hours?

I love that I've been papped with Peter - I dealt with the intrusion... ;)

But you see, these things show that the real world can be made of Jake fantasies - I hope my year has shown that if nothing else. Takes some effort and some risks of having nothing in return, but it's so worth it! There are years to come in which we can all enjoy a moment like this, including you!

And yes, my heart skipped a beat there, too.

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Ruby - I think the shirt brought back something special to Jake on that night. I'm sure of it.

Smiles! Thank YOU! Your account was wonderful and moved me so much. I know exactly what you mean - bittersweet indeed. I still can't look at so many photos. I post them but I try not to look at them.

And it does last - these moments have got me through more difficult times. And I love that you have a brother and sister from TIFF - I have the same from my experiences and now I cannot imagine how I lived without them in my life!

smilesalot said...

Oh geez I almost forgot! Happy ALMOST birthday, WDW! I hope to greet you again tomorrow but with the time difference...you'll probably be soused and won't remember! xx Em

smilesalot said...

Oh yes, and I love my EJ brother and sister. We share a special bond that can never be broken. So Jake, to bring us all together.

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Thanks Em! I'm going to have a day of wining, dining and Jaking (not necessarily in that order). I'm also going to have a go at making a blue drink. I'll add it to tomorrow's special post. I have no umbrellas so may have to model mine on your's!

Wet Dark and Wild said...

These bonds are tight - I love mine and I love Jake for tying the knots :D

Christie said...

This was a wonderful post, WDW, I loved your amazing account of TIFF as well as reading Em's account of that very special moment, well I still remember how we all at ennisjack felt when they told us that not only had they seen Jake, they'd got pictures of him and he signed the shirt! Still makes me so happy, and that pic of him saying "wow"!! Wonderful.

Its amazing too that CWG and get real were there at TIFF too, it's an amazingly small world. CWG, I loved the pics of Jake from you - the first one in particular is not only gorgeous, but it's such a fabulous close up! Were you really that close to him? Wow. Is all I can say apparently.

Happy Birthday for tomorrow WDW, I doubt I'll get a chance to be around, so have a good one and Happy New Year to you all. See you in 2008 for more wonderful Jake loving. You should be very proud of this site, WDW, it's so amazing and you work so hard. Hope your birthday is a special one.

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Thank you so much Christie! I'm so glad you liked it, and it was wonderful for me, remembering my own experience and then listening to Em's as well and knowing Get Real and CWG were there too. The 'wow' moment' is tremendous - I find it comparable to the moment at Cannes when Jake turned and looked straight at us - these moments are special and so rare!

I believe CWG's pictures were taken by someone who's now a friend of her's. There are some amazing pictures. At that point I was also that close to Jake but I was totally unable to take a picture of anything other than Jake's lapel! He just has that effect on me - robs me of all photographic powers...

Thanks for the birthday wishes. I hope you have a great time and I'll see you in the New Year! And thanks, I am proud of the site and the friends I've made here :D It's well worth the hard work. 2008 is going to be great!

Hey TL - good to see you - hope you're having a great holiday :D

It's so late,I'm so tired and this looks like SUCH a great post,WDW,but I've only had time to skim it,as with so many of your recent posts, which is criminal!

Lots of festive gatherings, hubby off work for 10 days and me back at work after only 2 days break at Christmas, and friends with the blues for me to cheer up....all have conspired to keep me away and I'm gagging for some normality and some peace and quiet so I can get back to being a regular around here!

Before I dash off again,it is now officially your Birthday,WDW,so can I wish you the happiest of Birthdays and a 2008 which will even exceed the Jake-heights of 2007!Have a wonderful time!

Love to your all,back a.s.a.p.
Nadine xxxx

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Thank you Nadine - and I hope that the New Year brings you some peace to get back with the Jaking :D

I've been watching Zodiac again - just can't help it...

And thank you for the birthday wishes :D I'm hoping Jaking can ward off the wrinkles. So cheers everyone :D

twistedlogic said...

Happy Birthday, WDW! Hope you have a great day! xx

Nice to see Nadine again:) I'm a bit like you, I can't wait for everything to get back to normal after Xmas. Speaking of which, just in case I can't get to the computer tomorrow, Happy New Year, everyone!

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Me too TL - fortunately it's a bit back to normal for me now, but with the bonus of three more days off work. Thanks for the birthday wishes and for that birthday card! If I can't speak to you tomorrow, Happy New Year :D And thank you for your friendship - one of the very best things to come out of a wonderful year *)

You're not all going away for tomorrow, are you? I'm gonna get lonely...

twistedlogic said...

Aww, thanks (((WDW))) - you too xx
I'm supposed to be going to a party tomorrow night but as it's a child-friendly one I'll probably be back by quater past midnight, sober as a judge! I don't think there'll be any Jake lookalike waiters serving Aqua Velvas either, but I live in hope;D

Wet Dark and Wild said...

A 'child friendly party'? Don't think I like the sound of that ;) Because it's my birthday, I've never gone to New Year parties, instead I have a quiet time at home with Mr WDW and lots of booze and good food. He's taking me out for lunch though :D

G'night *)

twistedlogic said...

Hey WDW! I don't like the sound of it either - I don't even want to go, but that wouldn't be very child friendly of me;) Your plans sound much better, hope you have a great time xx

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Thank you :D Time for a wee dram and then bed :)

Happiest of Birthdays!!!

The whole entire world celebrates with you! LOL!!! By the time my birthday rolls around...on January 3rd... the whole world is gifted out, hung over, and has plum run out of cards! LOL!!!! How cool that we are four days apart. I was born at 6 AM. That was the very last time I was ever awake at that hour.

BTQ: OT but not: Peter Sarsgaard is very good looking in person. And Chris is absolutely gorgeous. Seriously. And yet...

Anonymous said...

What great stories and memories. I particularly liked the one of Jake carefully signing the shirt above the pocket. Thank you.

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hey Bobbyanna - we're 4 days apart!! Well, whaddyaknow! But, honestly, New Year's Eve is no day for a birthday - you can't even go out for a pub meal as they all have special functions on. So it's better to stay at home. I believe I was born just before midnight - and less than a handful of miles from where I live now :D

Peter is never OT and yes he's lovely - love his voice! Chris is knock me out dead gorgeous. When he turned the corner and we saw him, so unexpectedly, I think I nearly passed out! And then there was Jake!! How much more can a girl take ;)

Hey LG - It's wonderful isn't it? Hope you had a good holiday :D

Being able to experience the TIFF through your post is the next best thing to being there. Thanks WDW and everyone who contributed their stories or pics. I would love to be able to wrap myself up in that BBM shirt just once. :)

I forgot to say earlier (re: Thursday's Jarhead post) that I agree with Bertie. I loved the book, too. Anthony Swofford's style of writing lets you inside his mind, sharing his experiences as he tells his story.

I just finished watching Shooter which had Elias Koteas (Sgt. Jack Mulanax in Zodiac) terrorizing Kate Mara. No no no - that's just wrong! When I spot an actor from one of Jake's movies, I still see them as that character, having watched Jake's movies so many times. :D

Happy Birthday WDW and Bobbyanna!

Happy almost birthday, WDW!

My friend's birthday is the twenty-sixth, and everyone always combines her b-day and x-mas presents. Then again, I recall that when I was younger, my grandmother did give me school supplies (of all things--yuck!) for presents since my birthday (more often than not, unfortunately) fell on the first day of school.

I love that I've been papped with Peter - I dealt with the intrusion... ;)
Oh gawd, the only thing better than that would be papped with Jakey himself! :)

These bonds are tight - I love mine and I love Jake for tying the knots :D
LOL! I wanna get into that!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WDW!
( blows kisses in your direction )
I hope you have a nice day!

This post was fabulous! How wonderful for all of you that have a personal experience with Jake! Em, Missy and Thomas' meeting...well, it was the most exciting thing, we were all living it with them as it happened more or less, TL posting the picture of Jake with Missy and Thomas on ej, even before THEY knew it was taken! It was wonderful, and that WOW moment was the stuff of dreams. As you say, like your own Cannes moment. And it all couldn't have happened to nicer people.

I very much enjoyed reading of your own TFF experience too...loved you being papped!

It is quite amazing to think how close you were to CWG and Get Real too. What with Em, Missy and Thomas, and your own group,WDW was very well represented at that festival!

I loved ALL the pictures tonight so much, they are ALL beautiful. Thank you for a wonderful post...and in case I can't get here any more today, let me take this opportunity to wish EVERYONE here a wonderful, and HAPPY New Year!

Cheers,
Rosie

Morning everyone! And THANK YOU ALL for the happy birthdays. I have more chocolates :D I haven't yet decided how old I am today.... But it's a lot of fun and makes it much more special to share it with you :)

And HAPPY BIRTHDAY NELLY!!!! *)

Hi Neely! It's great to be able to share the experience with everyone - I know how much I loved hearing about the shirt signing. Must be incredible to feel that around your shoulders.

I watched Zodiac last night and Elias Koteas will always be Sgt Jack Mulanax to me - he's amazing in it. Mind you whenever I look at Arthur Leigh Allen he reminds me of Bubble Boy's dad.

Hey Haalin - school things as birthday presents? Not good. I do think it would be nice to have a summer birthday so that everything doesn't come in the same wek - and as it's Jake's birthday on the 19th it feels like everything is now in two weeks!

Hi Rosie - it must have been incredible experiencing that in real time.I can honestly say that that the 6 and 7 September were the most surreal days of my life. Happy New Year to you too :D

Thanks Sass in rainy NYC :) Not much better here...

Morning Ruby *) (Are you still singing Eagles songs this morning?)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, WDW!!!!! Hope you have a very happy and special birthday!! (((WDW)))

Aww, TIFF memories are the best! It was nice to know some of us were there in the same room sharing the same Rendition experience. :) I wasn't able to get close to Jake or Peter, Reese, Gavin, Kelley, etc. but I saw their beauty light up the red carpet from my spot on the line to get into the theatre and from above in the balcony as they tool the stage to be introduced before the movie. Awesome.

Fantastic posts as usual. Great to see Jake looking so relaxed and good in the latest pics with him and Reese. Very nice. So glad for the Zodiac and the Rendition (wish it was more) recognition in all the year end lists. More videos of Jake just being his wonderful self. Always brings a smile to my face.

Hope everyone has a fantastic new years eve! I have friends over and haven't had time to post. Will see you all in 2008!

*Hugs all*

Hi Get Real! Thanks! I hope you're having a good holiday and have a great time with your friends :D It does make me feel good knowing you were in the theatre too. Enjoy tonight!

G'morning all from the snowy woods of western massachusetts -

Happy Birthday WDW - on this day CELEBRATE rhymes with KATE! -

I love what you said about how Jake fantasies become real life. That's pretty profound, girl!

Comments have been wonderful, what a high for all of us!

What's everybody wearing tonight?

I go all Robbie Burns on New Years Eve.

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hi Pia! Those snowy woods sound beautiful.

I'm waiting for Mr WDW to take me out for a late lunch followed by cocktails :D Then back here for Jaking and the final post of 2007.

This is without doubt the first year in a long time when I've thought at its end 'can it be bettered?' The comments have been wonderful, and to think that a year ago all these friendships had yet to come. Getting sentimental - must be the marzipan chocolates (thanks mum!).

I'll be wearing by usual hoodie and Nike but I may get out the special Nike tonight :D

Just as a post script, but bcz it offers some LITTLE comfort: in the BAFTA videos you so graciously provided, WDW, I couldn't help but notice Ralph Fiennes' expression.
The Constant Gardener was an extraordinary film and he gave an outstanding performance. But here again. A story with some unpleasant truths. His performance was almost totally ignored on both sides of the pond, and the movie itself, was almost an afterthought...if a lot of people even thought about it at all!

So in some ways, I think of Rendition as being in the same position as Constant Gardener was back then. Of course, back then there was the tidal wave of Brokeback Mountain so,I was happy, but I can see similarities between Rendition and Constant Gardener in some ways.

I know CG got more critical acclaim, but I think that is a reflection on the fact it was essentially viewed here in the USA as British,(not our problem) where Rendition was about an ugly underside of America's practices.

I loved Zodiac. Comparing it to Rendition is like comparing apples and artichokes! But Rendition is REALLY special to me. I felt like it was an extremely important film and a very well done film and I think Kelly, Gavin and that cast ought to be totally proud of what they achieved.

There is often an insularity articulated here in America that doesn't even allow room to acknowledge the superb performances by the Arab and Israeli actors who gave powerful performances. It's embarrassing how backward our critics can be...altho, I felt it was very deliberate, too.

OK. Sorry for the OT babbling. Carry on with Birthday/New Year's celebrations.

Ruby said...

interesting comment bobbyanna thank you. Jake of course gave kudos to the Arab actors he worked with pretty much everytime he was asked about working with Meryl, Reese, Alan et al.

I really liked CG (and have a lot of respect for Ralph Fiennes) but I was glad that BbM got the awards at Bafta. No movie has impacted me like that ever. And I know that many, many others feel the same

Anonymous said...

I am a huge Brokeback fan. Totally.Having read the story by Annie, I was looking forward to it. I was also a huge Heath Ledger fan, so was very excited that he was cast as Ennis. I'd seen Moster's Ball, of course, so I knew what he was capable of. Finding Jake was just a beautiful gift. There is no other way to describe it. Hope no one misunderstood my previous comments in that regard. I wasn't dissing BBM at all. I just think with so many excellent performances that year, and so many films, CG kind of got lost, and especially Ralph Fiennes who I think is one of the foremost acotrs working in any medium today. That doesn't mean I wish Ralph Fiennes should have won over Jake or that CG was "better" than BBm or anything of the kind.

Altho it may have been stated more clearly, I simply wanted to comment on some parallels I saw bwtn it and the Rendition experience. So there is certainly no need to defend BBM to me! LOL!!!

Anonymous said...

A film I own with Ralph Fiennes, Bobbyanna, is Quiz Show, a real jewel, IMHO.

A fierce editorial in NYT today deploring acknowledgement and encouragement of unethical and brutish incarcerations and interogation practices. Rendition the film has played its part in growing public repugnance and outrage.

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Good evening everyone - just got back from my birthday dinner so having a rest after some crepe suzette and a margarita :D

Hi Bobbyanna - that's a good point, films that tell unpleasant truths can be umpalatabl for the 'powers that be' but you would have thought actors would know that. Good for them for going with them anyway.

Hey Ruby It was good to hear Jake giving credit to the Arab and Israeli actors - he seemed aware more than anyone how incredible their acting was and what he had to live up to, despite his relatively big name.

Hi Pia - films such as Rendition may have been 'unpopular' with some critics and audiences but they must play an important role in reminding people what is going on. Sorry to sound superficial, I'm extremely mellow, relaxed and happy this evening :D

Anonymous said...

Hey WDW, many happy returns of the day, once again :) *

bobbyanna, don't forget Rachel Weisz *was* widely awarded for The Constant Gardener.

WDW, is it OK if I say my favourite actor in Rendition was Peter? ;D I thought he made a brilliant job of a relatively minor, but complex, character.

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Thanks Anouska - you can say that :D I would say that Peter was my second favourite actor in Rendition ;) It was certainly an interesting role.
