[Updated] Jake Gyllenhaal arrives for the Late Show with David Letterman - and the heatwave gets hotter
It's not often Jake Gyllenhaal leaves me speechless, quite the contrary - he is my inspiration. But tonight you'll get no sense from me. All because of these pictures of Jake at the Ed Sullivan Theater in NYC where he is recording the Late Show with David Letterman. In an hour or two, if I've not come to my senses, please throw a virtual (emphasis on the virtual, in case Mr WDW is reading) bucket of water over me. Now that is how to wear a three-piece! No wonder that guy can't keep his mouth closed...

Wow! Gulp! Jake does it again!
I said it in the last post but I'm just so bummed I didn't get tickets right now. More so than before. Speechless is correct!

Thanks WDW.I'm just going to try harder next time Jake is on which will probably be for LAOD. I'll definitely enjoy the interview. I don't have a way to record it so I'll be staying up late to watch it. Hopefully it's online soon after for those who can't watch it on TV.

I'm so happy that there is so much publicity been done in the US as I really want this movie to go well for Jake. To be honest the amount of publicity we got was shocking. In my area there were hardly any posters for PoP or displays in the cinema....Robin Hood seemed to be everywhere and I don't think I was imagining it:(

There are no posters here except for in the theatres. Robin Hood is everywhere, even on the sides of buses. But then I have no desire to see a cheerless Robin Hood, especially when there is a magical adventure like PoP about!

Bit of a random question..I was just thinking of how good he's been looking during the PoP promotion compared to the rendition promotion (i wasn't a fan of Jakes at this time)as you said. But i watched brothers yesterday and he doesn't have much of a beard during the film, so did he just choose to have that beard? :P i always thought it was for brothers.

Hi Silver! Jake did look pretty good during the Rendition promotion, I must say. I liked his build then. But, yes, he said at the time that the beard was for Brothers. But most of the promo was before the shoot got going and I'm wondering if Jake had been told to grow it that full and then it was decided to cut it a bit. Who knows?! But it would have been for Brothers - Jake commented on how itchy it was and he shaved it off straight away after the filming.
You must go back to the glorious days of Cannes, Silver! These days remind me of then.
WARNING: When I see PoP Friday I hope they have a fire extinguisher nearby -- I may internally combust!

Swoon! Man can our guy wear a suit! Yum! And look at that stride! I love when he wears a 3 piece, I have no idea why I like it so much, I just do. I wish he wouldn`t wear the jacket, he looks amazing in just the shirt and vest. I wasn`t sure if I wanted to stay up for Letterman but after seing these pics, I don`t think I can wait to watch it tomorrow morning. :)

Yesterday, I went to the movie theather to watch Robin Hood. It's just a good movie with great performances.
Could be better knowing that it is a film by Ridley Scott.
Russell is very good, especially in scenes with Max Von Sydow.
I like the look of Brothers. He was with look more mature at that time. I think.

Not sure if anyone know anything about this but I'm wondering why Jake isn't going on the Jay Leno show to promote PoP. Usually for big films like this actors hit all the talk shows. I'm actually glad Jake isn't going to be on Leno I'm not a big fan of his. I prefer Conan or Letterman.
Look at my baby boy all grown up. It was just yesterday I saw him in his first suit in Bubble Boy. Why do I care so much about this young man besides the fact he's just sweet? I must step away from Jakey for a bit. I'm too obsessed lately. God Bless Jake and no matter what stay Jake.
