I'm back! It might have taken a nine-hour drive today but at least I got home without breaking down this time. That's a bonus. I have catching up to do but, in the meantime, here is another E News video from the End of Watch filming, thanks to Monica. Finally, we get to see Jake Gyllenhaal with the lovely Anna Kendrick. There is dancing...
Here's a closer look:
I'm also delighted to post some photos of Jake with the Boys and Girls Clubs of San Francisco (via IHJ), who featured with Jake in his appearance on Today this week for Edible Schoolyard. Interestingly, a good friend from San Francisco emailed me earlier in the month to say that Jake had been spotted in the city on 2 August.
And finally...
Thanks to Leslie, here are some details about the bracelet that we've noticed on the wrist of Jake's Officer Taylor. Apparently, it will get you out of any and every scrape as well as cook you breakfast.
Includes pictures from IHJ.
My review of Final Destination 5 in 3D is now at MovieBrit.

Hello! And good to be home :)
Glad to hear you made it back home safe and sound, Kate.
I wonder if Jake's character in EOW is a former Marine or Army Ranger or such. My son who is in the Army used to make those bracelets all the time. He gave them to various relatives and friends before he deployed to Iraq.
Hi, Kate. Welcome back. :)
That video is very interesting. At last we may see Jake and Anna together. And IMO they look and behave nice together.
They suppose to have such a passionate relationship. I wonder how much time they had to get to know each other. We didn't have any glimpses of that earlier. And Anna was busy with making another movie.I like that dancing scene. I didn't catch up everything Anna said. She's quite sympathetic in my eyes.
Those two scenes - at the table and dancing, reminds me a lot of BBM scenes with Randall and his wife. Don't you think so?
The pictures with kids are very cute. Jake is great with them.
mermon: I agree that Jake and Anna haven't spent a lot of time together to get the chemistry right, but they are both great actors and I have no doubt that they will have great chemistry on screen.
I will never doubt Anna's acting abilities after seeing her in 'Up In The Air'. She was really great in that movie.
I wonder if EoW is done filming?
they are still filming thare was a tweet from today or yesterday from some one who saw them filming plus that interview with E news i think was done monday or tuesday because ben lons tweeted that he had just finished interviewing jake
I believe in their acting talent as well. And Jake, I believe, can open someone's heart. It's not difficult to get along with him. So, I have a good feeling about them.
Thanks Susan! I'v not heard of these bracelets before - I love the idea and what a thoughtful gift :)
Thanks Mermon! I really like Anna and so I'm delighted we'll see them together. It did make me think of BBM, yes :)
I do agree, Margot. I think Anna was fantastic in Up in the Air, what a great film that was!
Thanks for the info, mk :)
I hope everyone's having a good day! Thoughts going out to our friends on the NE coast of the US this weekend.
It's pouring in the DC area. so far the strong winds haven't happened yet, but they will probably pick up throughout the night. I hope we don't lose power
stay safe
sweetpea
Morning everyone!
Good luck with the storm, Sweetpea - I hope you don't lose power and that it passes over with no damage done.
Safe passage through the storm to all those in the NE US today.
Hello all! I hope you're enjoying the weekend - how are our Gyllensistas on the East Coast? It's pouring down here, but nowhere near tornado-strength.
I really liked that video. :) Thanks for putting it up. I liked Anna's acting in Up in the Air a lot, but since it's the only film of her I've seen so far, it's a bit difficult to picture her as a passionate lover. *grin* But I've no doubt Jake will awaken that. ;-)
Have a nice Sunday!
Anna Kendrick seems to be a lovely girl. She did a good job in Up In The Air and I read that she is also good in 50/50.
This Gyllensista in Pennsylvania (west of the greater Philadelphia area) is just fine. There are some spotty power outages and we had enough rain to cause flash flood warnings in low-lying areas, but not any severe damage anywhere nearby as far as I know.
Earthquake, hurricane, floods - if it wasn't real it would be a great story for a Roland Emmerich movie.
I have no doubt, Lady Ekster!
Hi Susan! I'm so glad you're all right and it sounds like it's been better than hoped for elsewhere too. Thank heavens for that! But what a lot of rain...
