Jake Gyllenhaal drags Atticus up a hill and more pictures with Anna Kendrick

After the last few days of End of Watch excitement, Jake Gyllenhaal was back in LA yesterday to do something he does so well - dragging poor old Atticus up a steep hill. Jake, Atticus, a friend and a dog that quite possibly has the longest tongue in the dog world went for a hike in Runyon Canyon, which (speaking from personal experience) is not something to be done lightly, except if you're being carried, towed or driven. This also gave Jake the opportunity to get another of his LAPD t-shirts sweaty.

IHJ has published some more pictures of Jake and Anna Kendrick with some added information. It appears that the photos were in fact taken on 1 September and not this Monday. They show cast and crew at a petro/gas station in California, possibly on the way to the Las Vegas shoot. Whatever the date, I love these pictures and so it's great to be able to post a couple more.

If you haven't seen the wonderful article from Collider about End of Watch, please do take a look.

Many, many thanks to IHJ for both sets of pics!

The article in Collider is one of the most interesting I have read about new ways to make a movie - and about how to get PR for it! I have posted it to the Swedish Film Institute so they can distribute it among their budding directors :-)

Thanks for the pics, Kate.

Jake should give Atticus small roles in his movies; EOW would have been an excellent place to start as Atticus is the perfect "type" to play a police dog on the K9 squad. ;)

Good to know, H!

My pleasure, Susan! That's such a good idea. Atticus could get a walk on part in all these films. He certainly looks like a police dog.

Have a good evening everyone!

Atticus tongue is really very long on the first picture. :)
I agree! Atticus should get the role! He behaves very well, obeys his master. Jake takes care for his condition. He/it? could chase bad guys or smell drugs in the trunks or whatever. :)

Hello! Thank you for wonderful pics! Really I love to see Jake with Atticus. :) Atticus seems to be very smart and faithful to his master Jake. So I also agree with Susan. I'm sure Atticus would do good job if he gets a role!

Jake was apparently hanging out with Busy Phillips recently, according to People.com:

That's nice. I like his friendship with busy and her husband.

Hi all! Good news: my holidays have finally arrived, hurray! Three blissful weeks without the need for an alarm clock... lovely.
The bad news, unfortunately, is that I won't have that much internet access where I'm going. But I'll try to check in every now and then. :-)

Have a great Friday & weekend! Big Gyllenhug from me.
