Jake Gyllenhaal on This Morning

'You're actually quite fit in real life...'
The interview this morning - on This Morning - was an absolute treat. For some reason, these uninhibited British interviewers seem to get away with much more due to their sheer gall. Not many other interviewers came away with a kiss on the lips from Jake Gyllenhaal! Enjoy!

Hey WDW! Glad it worked- we're getting good at this, aren't we? I still think it was a kiss on the cheek though, but that could just be me trying not to become even more jealous than I already am! But credit to Alison, she deserved it for that great interview! The guessing game with the drawings "Sun plus times moon"!!!! I can't stop giggling! I need to go out in a bit and I just know I'm going to be remembering this and laughing to myself like a nutter!!

Oh good God, I'm watching it audio-less because my boss is around and I'm try hard not to laugh my ass off and give him the impression I'm shit crazy!!

I love love love that gal, I wanna be HER!! :)

You're right WDW, you English women are so direct it's almost impossible to resist you! :)

Thanks you WDW and TL! :D

Hey Twisted Logic - good job! I'm having trouble with blogger but I got it working in the end. Very funny!

Xenia - that's funny! I burst out laughing so hard on the train with Letterman the other day - I was snorting - most unattractive. Jake makes me laugh so much - I'd bet he'd be fun in a pub, on a date, say, for instance, just thinking off the top of my head ;)

You see Xenia, I wasn't teasing,I was just trying to convey what a peach of an interview this was, Jake at his most disarming and disarmed!

So glad it's up here for everyone to enjoy now,so they'll know what I was raving on about in the previous thread.

I think it was a kiss on the cheek, rather than the lips. too TL,but it seemed a warm and "meant" kiss, wherever he placed it and for her sheer, ballsy joie-de-vivre which had Jake at times, bamboozled but in stitches, and,I think, thoroughly won over, Alison deserved a real smacker! What a double act, just can't get the smile off my face :-)

Well done,as usual,WDW and TL for getting the goodies up and out there so quickly! See y'all later :-)

That was just darling!!!! He is SO charming and fun and ...just...totally loveable. This has got to be right up there in my top three favorite Jake interviews for Rendition. She is delightful. Thanks so much for this. I'm getting ready for Ellen. BTW: Reese is now in NYC and will be doing the Today show tomorrow. With the exception of Meryl Streep doing The Daily Show, it seems like all the Rendition promotions is falling mainly on Jake with Reese as back up. She also pre-taped Ellen and that will air tomorrow as well.
And then I would guess all the Rendition crew will be winging their way to you WDW....and Rome!!! I'm SO excited for you going to RIFF! Hope everything works out really well for you and it is everything you hope for.

OMG -- I love, love, love this interview. A commenter at YouTube thinks Jake appears uncomfortable, but I think he's simply astounded! And charmed -- as she is with him. Both are adorable. Thanks for letting us know about this one.

((((Nadine))) I know you were not teasing, I was just kidding! :D
It's only that the situation was EXTREMELY teasing...teasing is...exciting!!
I like all you English ladies so much that I'm going to spend my next week-end with one of you lovely gals!:*

Hi Nadine - Jake was certainly disarmed all right! But he just went for it and had a laugh. I was worried but Alsion did Brums proud :) Still think it was on the lips...

Hey Bobbyanna - I'm so glad you liked it. Can't wait for Ellen but I also can't wait to have Jake on this side of the pond again! I also hear you can get some decent vino in Rome so not only Jake but a big glass of red - excellent!

Hi Beckela - I don't think Jake was uncomfortable - I think he was just a bit knowcked sideways but he recovered and enjoyed himself. She was very charming and who couldn't help but laugh at her puckering up for a snog!

I can't wait to see you Xenia :D

Haven't seen it yet, as you know WDW :D but it sounds a blast. I think Jake enjoys all this cheeky English behaviour. I loved his faux-shocked (were they faux?) expressions in the green room at JR.

Hey Anouska How are you doing ;) I really do think Jake enjoys sparring with this British ladies, drunk or sober. Great stuff. And yes, I'd go with faux.

Thank you so much, WDW!!!!!

Just when I thought he can't get any cuter...

British humour is the best.

LOL!!! WDW!!! Try the Chianti Classico! Nothing like it in the world....IMHO.
Just took a break to watch Jake on Ellen. *ded!* I love him.I just do.
He has the sweetest giggle. It's infectious. In a very quiet, throw away line he said Maggie and Pter were married. And he's good with changing diapers now. And what Jake does to an apron...O.M.G. Of course maybe it was those arms...sure would love to have him in my kitchen...(sits down, fans self)

A big big welcome to Jannis! So good to see you here my friend :) There is no end to Jake's cuteness and I'm glad he can deal with some broad Brummie humour - can I also add that I'm half Brum myself, and I'm older, does that count in my favour, Jake?

Hey Bobyanna - rest assured that in Rome when I'm not Jaking, walking round the colisseum and the forum (I might not have time for the Pantheon, Anouska), I'm trying the wine ;)

I need to see Ellen... it wouldn't surprise me if Peter and Maggie have quietly married. That would be wonderful.

Oh my!!! She gave him a run for his money for sure. That was hysterical...laughing aloud at work and blushing the entire time, I felt for him.

"Ren-dish-on/off...wait, I know this" Ah, gotta love him!

Thanks so much for this!

WELCOME and hugs to Jannis! Yeah, there's no escaping the hugs!

"May not have time for the Pantheon".

Doesn't compute, WDW. Sorry.

Xenia will back me up :)

Hey there WDW!
I live on the 4th floor, but I know people walking on the sidewalk below can hear me howling with laughter. Listening to Alsion interview Jake, is absolutely the most fun I've had in years.

So Maggie and Peter may be married?

That Jake...he would have a great time living there with you. He loves it all ready, and you know he credits his English fans with Donnie Darko's success. I can't thank you and TL enough for allowing us to share and enjoy Jake in London with you.

You know I had to Google Brummie...more to learn here everyday...and it's all good.

He's a serious comedian. I love that about him. This interview was hilarious!!! oh and I love how he said "meryl might get mad at that" or something like that.
