Jake on Jennifer Aniston and Moonlight Mile
Jake Gyllenhaal's affection for Jennifer Aniston has never been in doubt and, in this video from Access Hollywood, recorded on the set of Moonlight Mile in 2001, we can hear Jake reminisce about filming his own version of The Graduate with The Good Girl: the love scenes were as 'awkward as awkward can be.' Jake then goes on to discuss what it was like to film the scene in Moonlight Mile where his character has to explain to those played by Dustin Hoffmann and Susan Sarandon that he was not going to marry their daughter, while all the time falling in love with another woman - it comprises an interesting discussion from Jake on the nature of comedy.

Our old friend of the thick-framed glasses, Michael Stipe, is hosting a preview party for an online auction in Manhattan on 7 December - The Lunchbox Auction. Among the lunchboxes designed by the rich and famous are lunchboxes from Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard, and all will be auctioned to benefit children.

WDW, thanks for this 'timeless video', actually I sort of 'fell in love' with Jake after watching him in MM. I love young Jake, his eyes are soooo dreamy, but the biting of the hand thing? Nervousness?

The video of Jake on Moonlight Mile is so wonderful - I love it. It also shows how self-assured and in charge of the cameras Jake has always been, but today more so than ever.

I just adore that video of the MM Jake, the face he pulls when the interviewer asks him how he researched the 70's is priceless! But I love MM and I love Jake in it. He is just so sweet in this video, it's gorgeous.

MLM had me in tears. When Jake was on the stand, I was slumped over in my seat bawling. I actually went to see Jake, Dustin Hoffman and Susan Sarandon, not just Jake, and fell for Jake all over again.
How nice to see him in so many movies with many more to come.
So now Jake and Reese can be workout buddies;) It seems the three amigos, Matthew, Lance and Jake from the summer of 2006 are attached to partners, or maybe just two of the them are attached, wearing shirts, and buying houses this year;)
Hi Sass - When Jake/Joe is on the stand in Moonlight Mile it's absolutely heartbreaking - what a performance. Oh and I love Jke's outfit, shoes and legs too :D
Sorry but I don't like Jake's new trainers - I hate yellow! Not keen on the orange top either. But I love new clean shaven Jake so I can't really complain, he still looks hot as hell:)

I liked hearing Jake talk about playing or showing the drama and comedy at the same time, 'cause that's pretty much real life. :) And I loved his expressions, too.

Regarding Ellen, cwg, what parts were different? I got the impression that his Ramona-diapering story had been shortened somehow, but now I'm dying to see what I might have missed. Please, give details! What if we never get to see this version online?

Good morning everyone and WDW, hope you are feeling better today. I'm feeling in a strange mood myself, and its not all down to the copious amounts of food and drink I consumed last night. So it was nice to see the Jake & Reese pics, I think Jake looks lovely and I am just happy for him. Although orange isn't a colour I like much either, he looked good in it.
I saw that MM vid a couple of weeks ago and thought it was divine. I love hearing him talk. I can't see the GG vid yet so will have to wait until I get home. Something to look forward to.

CWG, thanks for telling us about the "unedited Jake" version on Ellen, I am dying to see this. I love him and Ellen together, they have great chemistry and they are both genuinely funny people.
