Jake attends a charity luncheon and is all smiles leaving a doctor's office (this post comes with a shoe warning)

Yesterday (19 March), Jake Gyllenhaal attended the Los Angeles Conservation Corps Spring Luncheon, which was held at the Los Angeles State Historic Park. The luncheon, which awarded $150,000 in scholarships, was also attended by Maria Shriver.

The Corps celebrates its 20th anniversary this year and its 'primary mission is to provide at-risk young adults and school-aged youth with opportunities for success through job skills training, education and work experience with an emphasis on conservation and service projects that benefit the community.'

It's so good to see these pictures of Jake, all smiles and in moviestar mode, but not so good about having to use two crutches. Although, as someone commented, wearing dress shoes doesn't provide much support to an injured ankle - or indeed much comfort.

Also that day, Jake was seen leaving a doctor's office, again with two crutches and with broad smiles - perhaps enjoying taunting us with the most horrendous shoes known to man. The upside? - not a flannel shirt in sight. I suppose that the crocs are the best kind of footwear for an injured ankle and I wonder if Jake has been told to stop putting weight on it. Whatever the case, Jake looks gorgeous.

Thanks to Monica for the big laugh she gave me this morning with the link to the sighting in Defamer: 'An angry movie watcher caught up with actor Jake Gyllenhaal in a Southern California parking structure, demanding that Jake give him his "hard-earned" money back for the film Zodiac. The disgruntled man said that it was a three hour movie where nothing happens, and even made extra sure to point out that, by the end of the film, the crime hadn't even been solved! Gyllenhaal successfully defended the film, citing it as some of his best work. He even went as far to say that Jeffrey Wells loved it. The Polo ensconced amateur photog then walked away frustrated, wishing that he would've mentioned either The Day After Tomorrow or Bubble Boy instead.'

Having seen The Other Boleyn Girl the other week I can perfectly understand the desire to reclaim the entry fee from the actor responsible, but for Zodiac?! I was amused to hear Jake cited the approval of that staunch advocate of Zodiac, Jeffrey Wells. From the sound of it, Jake won the day - I suppose it makes a change from people asking him to explain Donnie Darko.

Who Magazine in Australia anounced yesterday its 25 Most Beautiful, bringing together both men and women in one list. I'm delighted to say that Jake was placed at No. 6. He was the highest place non-Antipodean (I'm not counting English-born winner Sophie Monk because she's spent most of her life in Australia). Michelle Williams was placed at No. 10, Barrack Obama at No. 11, Cate Blanchett at 15 and James McAvoy at 16. It's good to see Jake is melting hearts on a global scale.

And finally

As we know, Peter Sarsgaard is currently filming An Education in London. Here are some pictures of him on set during the first week of filming. Other locations for the shoot include Oxford and Paris. You can see a slideshow of more pictures here.

Pictures from IHJ and here.

I love the smile and the tongue!

Err...what's that orange bit in the croc shoes? are they the socks or part of the shoes? bright orange???

I still think the defamer dude is deranged but he gave us such some ideas of how to get Jake's attention. Cos before this, I could only come up with lame scenario like "pretend I am about to faint and need a hand" in front of Jake....

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hi there Winterbird! I think that the horrid orange bit is the bit that forms the heel on these horrid crocs. Jake's just pushed it over, just to make them even more horrid :) If anyone has to buy crocs - and it really should be an offence - then why would anyone pick green and orange ones??

The Defamer thing was soo funny! Great tip on getting Jake's attention. My main scenario before was the 'I am a lost tourist' approach, asking Jake for directions. The fainting could work but maybe he's used to people fainting in front of him all the time?

Lol!! My thoughts exactly!! Jake does seem to be developing a habit lately of wearing items that stand out for all the wrong reasons. But hey, who cares when he looks this damn GORGEOUS!!Sorry to shout but these pics are almost too much, both sets of them. I love the big smiles and the happy shining eyes!! And that sounds like a very worthy cause Jake is supporting so gotta give him lots of kudos for that and for turning up even with his ankle injury. I'm sure a lot of lesser celebs would have used it as an excuse to cry off, but not our Jake:) *sigh* I love him...

agent_krycek said...

There's a stall in my local shopping centre that sells these 'things', even for Jake I can't bring my self to research your theory about the orange bit WDW, but I hope it's right, those are awful, but at the moment I'm just glad he didn't pair them with one of the bird shirts.

The lost tourist was my favoured plan as well, wonder if Jake comes across an inordenant amount of 'lost tourists' during his day ;)

twistedlogic said...

PS: Forgot to say thanks for the info about Peter. But London is a big place, I need more specific details if I'm going to spot him! Maybe the good people of Oxford will have better luck;)

Err... I think he looks mega hot in his flannel shirts. The blue one, the brown one with the birds.... sigh.

Course he looks hot in his t-shirts, hoodies, suits, swimsuit-- uh everything. But yeah I am really digging the flannel 'cold weather' gear recently!

agent_krycek said...

Seems like Peter's filming around Central London, there's mention of the Cafe de Paris as a location, which is just down from Piccadilly Circus, and as the film is set in 60s London, I imagine some filming in and around Soho/Carnaby Street areas.

I do have to be in Central London this Saturday, so may drag my OH for a little wander round the Piccadilly/Soho, you never know - mind you, if I do run into Peter I take it I'm to pass on a note for Jake concerning crocs and brown flannel shirts

Anonymous said...

Hi, WDW!!!! Agent K, I don't mind the dark blue so much...but the brown flannels need to be confiscated. I wish you great success ...if you accept such a mission. :)

As for the crocs, I'm reluctant to take from him those things that might ease his foot pain and provide him with a measure of comfort...as long as Jake knows they are temporary.

Maybe the Doc gave him the crocs. They might be "special." for foot injuries. Jake wouldn't deliberately pick them, would he?

Anonymous said...

Good Grief! Crocs Jake? Why? I hope it's purely for medical reasons and soon the Nikes will return. Just as well the rest of him is so yummy. Think these crutches pics are the nicest I've seen him look for ages :o)

*good girl* said...

So WDW, it seems our wish of seeing Jake in a smart dress was heard yesterday ;D and Jake took good care of making it come true ;) He looks gorgeous, I adore his sweet smile :) I'm only sorry to see him in clear pain in some pics, he looks kind of tired too, that ankle injury must be really annoying :-/

Hope you'll be fine again soon honey <3

And about the crocs, I'm with you...eughhh.. I really dont know what's happening with Jake's clothes lately! So now it's fight flannel&crocs? we'll see what we'll have to add to the list in the next months :P I'd be glad to fight the swimsuit for sure ;D

paulh said...

I'm hoping the ankle is healed by mid-April, when Jake will have to start filming "Nailed."

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hi there everyone - thanks for the comments - Mr WDW insised on taking me out to lunch - I tried to fight it but gave in with the promise of treacle flapjack :D

Hey TL - great comment! I love him too and this is a great cause for Jake to support and yeah, no crying off for Jake. He looks in a bit of pain here but he looks absolutely gorgeous. And great to see Jake's eyes again.

But yep the crocs aren't only crocs, they're green and orange crocs. I'm just grateful he's not wearing them WITH the shirt. Ugh...

Hey Agent K - you read my mind! Crocs and flannel - that be too much.

If only I knew some locations for Peter's shoot. I heard about the cafe du paris location on Shaftesbury Ave but I can't imagine they would be there for long. Good luck!

Hi there anon - hey, standing up for the flannel! Good to see :D I'll go with the hoodies.

Hi Bobbyanna :D Good point - it's all the doc's fault - they gave him two crutches and a pair of crocs with strict instructions. As you say, so long as Jake knows they're only on a short term loan.

Hey LJF - good to see you :D As a fellow Nike spirit I totally sympathise. I don't know how a Nike guy could bring himself to wear these things. I really love those pics too. Jake's expression is wonderful.

Hi Sonia! Yeah, Jake heard us and did good, well, except for the crocs, where he did bad. But it's really good to see Jake all dressed up and without sunglasses, although, as you say, he does look in some pain in a few of these. Swimsuit would be good ;D

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hi Paul - yeah me too. Hope it's well on the mend before then - even if he has to wear the crocs...

Anonymous said...

Hi all

Loving all this new Jake pics/events, etc.

Wow does Jake look stunning in the suit!! Swoon indeed. And what a wonderful cause to support. Makes me love him even more. That smile gets me every time. :D Sorry to see him still suffering with his food/ankle. I will forgive the Crocs due to the injury.

The flannel shirts I could deal with if he didn't wear them so often. The green one seems better than the others imo. But I know that once gets into an outfit he wears it out. Ala, Stamp shirt, jeans with paint (?) stain, etc. Exciting that we now are near summer short sleaved and shirtless season...woohoo! ;p

I do watch the paps videos and do look at the pap pics but I do cringe when I see them swarming him like that. Yes, he can clearly take it but they get so swarm like. :/ You can hear him even say back up (or something like that) because he was just trying to pay his parking and they were getting in his face. Yes I am a hypocrite because I do watch them... Just had to rant, sorry.

On a nicer note, there was another video from that Waiter in NYC, Pedro. He was videoed before about waiting on Jake. The video is at IHJ. Such a nice guy and he has such a nice time every time he and Jake see each other. :)

Always nice to see Peter. Good luck on a sighting UKers.

WDW, hope you are feeling better. Good luck Sass and I hope everyone is having a good Thursday!

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Morning Get Real :D It's good to see the smiles, isn't it?!

I feel the same as you about the pap vids. I don't watch all of them but those I do see make me feel conflicted but yes I'm a hypocrite because I enjoy the pictures so much.

Oh bring back the stamp shirt - I loved that. Jake does wear things until they fall to pieces it seems to me - unfortunately these flannel shirts look hardwearing :(

I saw Pedro's video. I always enjoy those.

I'm totally better today and I hope everybody is well and having a good day, getting ready for the holiday weekend :D

Crocs, flannels, black bin liner bags!?..... I don't care, as long as he's ok and out and about. I too saw pain in his eyes but I also saw that sweet smile and that little boyish look he's so successful at. Gosh, I love that guy. I admire so much that, even on crutches, he went to support a worthy cause which is very close to the ACLU stuff he does as well as the College programme he supports. I know I shouldn't but I wonder at his political alliegence to either Hilary or Obama. I know that Maria and Caroline have supported Obama. Oh well....

Another thing is I loved seeing his pictures, even if they were pap pics but my curiosity made me look at the video. Although it was uncomfortable to watch and made me so anxious for him and protective of him, I am in so much admiration of him, the way he waited to get into his car until it was safe for other drivers to make their way out. The way he ignored that wannabe-journalist come inept photographer asking stupid questions to get a reaction or response. Either way whatever Jake has to say will be disected and evaluated to give XYZ instead of ABC so hon, your silence is admirable and particularly none of our business but I hope he knows how highly he's thought of. Whenever, and whatever he says it will be when he can. I truly wish him, his friends and family and all here true friendship and happiness. (I'm in a bit of a soppy mood).

Glad you're better WDW, see what the power of the pen/keyboard can do :o)

There are more pics up on IHJ for the Corp event. One of them of Jake climbing up the stairs to the podium... he looks to be in pain but put a smile, nonetheless. what a great guy :)

Those crocs should be strictly for medical reason... I don't mind him wearing clogs though and I remember Jake wore those before.

Anonymous said...

Sorry for the double post but damn.... why is his shirt buttoned up so high. Not even a glimpse of that beautiful chest hair... *sigh*

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hi Sheba! You can be as soppy as you want - many of us are the same :D Jake has that effect. I love to see him all calm and cool and collected with these annoying paps.

I love these pics - Stephanie has said that one of the kids that Jake handed an award to he befriended during research for a future role. Hmmm, intriguing.

I can't help wondering who Jake would vote for too. I do like to see him support this kind of charity.

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hi Winterbird - I just saw those pics (love the gaping shirt...). I'll put them in the post tomorrow.

I remember those clogs. I've always had a thing against those black cloth shoes that Jake often wears in the summer. I just like him to stick with his Nike :D I'm a purist.

Hi there Sheba. In a couple of pictures, Jake's shirt gapes a little, but I agree, it's buttoned far too high ;D

paulh said...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the opportunity for Jake to vote for Hillary or Barack has already passed by. California held its primary a while ago, so the next election will be between Democratic candidate and Republican one.

Anonymous said...

but I agree, it's buttoned far too high ;D

WDW, maybe Jake doesn't want to cause to reach for that Jack Daniels again on account of his chest hair... lol.

glad to hear that you're feeling better today.

now Jake needs to make a quick recovery too.

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hi Paul - you'll certainly know better than me :D I still wonder who he voted for, in a none nosey kind of way ;) The next vote should be a more clearcut.

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Winterbird, that's true. Jake probably thinks he's doing us a favour by not exposing us to too much chesthair in the same week.

I recommend vanilla icecream for Jake's continued recovery.

Anonymous said...

I'm sure the democratic vote is a difficult one for most - both great choices. It sure is a turbulent but exciting time for Americans with the change that's about to come - surely, it can only get better.

Mmmn, vanilla icecream. Only if it's made with real vanilla pods. How about rum 'n' raison icecream to loosen him up a bit more. And what would we do with it? Rub it on the bad leg or like a one for you, one for me, one for the leg? On the chest? Can we take turns? Oh my, where am I going with this!?

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hey Sheba - Fast or slow, I sure like the way you're going with this talk of icecream :D Getting hungry again now...

paulh said...

Here's my list of things that it's all right for Jake to do:

--Wearing shirts with birds on them
--Wearing shoes with orange things on them.
--Going around on crutches
--Growing facial hair
--Not doing any of the above
--Anything else he wants to do. :-)

He is as gorgeous as ever in these latest pix -- in spite of his injury.

An advanced Happy Easter to you WDW! The financial markets are closed tomorrow, so I'm not sure if I can send you greetings over the weekend. :)

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hi Paul - Agreed, of course can Jake to do whatever he wants, not one of us would disagree with that, I'm sure. But we're just trying to have some fun here! On second thoughts, I disagree with number 1 ;D

Hey, Tpe, so great to see you :D Jake does look good indeed.

Happy Easter in advance to you too! (I love the connection between the financial markets being closed and being able to comment :DD)

Hey WDW, I'm here to defend the crocs! I'm actually here typing *in crocs* as I'm "encouraged" to wear mine indoors only (or not at all). The two-tone choice is unfortunate, though :)

Even the thought of Jake forcing his bad foot into those lovely dress shoes makes me wince. I can definitely see the pain in his face in the charity event pics, but he looks gorgeous.

Pedro is fantastic, I had to watch all three of his Jake videos :)

So how will we find Peter? I saw no clues :(

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hey good for you Anouska :D Go on wear those crocs indoors and be proud! I'm glad to hear your's aren't twotone though.

I felt just the same thinking of Jake putting his foot into thaose beautiful shoes. No wonder he looked in pain. It must really have hurt. But, yes, absolutely gorgeous - those pictures even reminded me of Cannes.

I love Pedro's videos. I've put a couple on the site before, I must put the new one up.

I've tried SO hard to detect Peter, in London and Oxford, and it's not flippin easy :( Maybe we should try Paris :D

Anonymous said...

I never thought "crocs" (orange and green!) and "Jake Gyllenhaal" would make it into the same sentence. Jake, there's got to be another way of working through the pain!!! I hear wearing spandex bike shorts works wonders on an injured foot! ;)

twistedlogic said...

Jake probably thinks he's doing us a favour by not exposing us to too much chesthair in the same week.
Well, I'm touched by his concern but honestly, someone should tell him it's not a problem. He can show us as much chest hair as he likes, as often as he likes. Every day if possible. Never enough chest hair, never enough...;)
I'm still absolutely loving these pics - I've missed Movie star Jake, it's good to have him back:)

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hi Amy :D That is an excellent idea - I hope Jake's listening! I hear that exposing arm muscles can help a foot injury as well...

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hey there TL - posting at the same time again :D Never enough chesthair could be the mantra of the site. I've missed Movie Star Jake too - so good to see him - isn't he gorgeous?!

twistedlogic said...

Lol at the mantra! Let's face it, we can hardly adopt Jake's mantra "Thy truest love thy dost not speaketh" or whatever it was - we don't shut up about him!
Love Amy's idea about the lycra too. Go on Jake, it might be an old wives tale, but what have you got to lose?

KeepCalm+CarryOn said...

What a vision of gorgeousness,Jake suited and booted (or at least squeezed painfully into dress shoes!)attending a really worthwhile charity event and looking like he was having a really good time, even if his ankle was giving him some gyp! An absolute tonic,I have to say

As for the Crocs,I have to join Anouska in defending said foot-wear. I have an understated dark brown pair of "Croc Professionals" although rather than clog style a la Jake,I wear mine with the strap round the heel. Much favoured by the medical profession, they might not be number one in the style stakes, but for those of us whose jobs entail spending hours on their feet they are very comfy. Such comfort must be even more welcome, rather than trying to squash a swollen foot/painful ankle into something elegant but excruciating!

Good luck in tracking Peter down all you Londoners and Oxfordians! Doesn't he have a sweet, gentle smile to go with that lovely soft voice of his! These pics of Peter and all this talk of Jake's chest hair,I feel a revisit to "Jarhead" coming on.....

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hi there TL - that's true :D We never shut up about Jake, thank heavens.

Hey Croc-Wearing-Nadine - these pics are good, aren't they? I'm used to crocs in the theme parks of Florida, not in real life. I fine Nike is good for most situations. But I agre, crocs would be so comfortable after squeezing that injured foor into the elegant dress shoe.

My eyes are peeled for Peter. I absolutely love Peter's voice :D Enjoy Jarhead!

Bed for me, g'night all :D

twistedlogic said...

(((Nadine))) good to see you! Even if you are defending the crocs;) I'm fine with them if they help him cope with the pain - but if he starts wearing them on a regular basis for no good reason, then there'll be trouble;) Enjoy Jarhead Revisited - hey, now there's a thought for a new film:D

Hey WDW! Thank heavens for you too, for providing us with this place so we can not shut up about Jake:) Nite xx

KeepCalm+CarryOn said...

Hi (((TL))) "Jarhead Revisited" Mmmmm, would that be Jake playing a marine who takes a teddybear everywhere with him? ;-)

Nighty night WDW,sweet dreams everypeeps! xxx

twistedlogic said...

Lol! I haven't thought of the finer details yet, but yeah, the Teddy bear thing could work;) Nite Nadine xx

I think the guy should have asked Jake to explain why Bubble Boy (I have a feeling Jake regrets that movie) I know watching it I couldn't stop shaking my head wondering what he was thinking agreeing to make it.

I think that, for me, Jake's best movie to date will always be Brokeback. It is a unique movie that I think comes around once in a lifetime in an actors career. While they may make other good movies there is always one that will stand out above the rest and I think Brokeback will be Jake's finest performance

Trekfan

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Morning everyone :D ooh it's windy out there :(

Sorry I missed you last night, TL and Nadine :D Jarhead Revisited - like it! I can just see Swoff and Troy (miraculously brought back to life) creeping round the Oxford colleges on sniper duty, before heading off for afternoon tea with nanny.

And I'm glad to provide somewhere where we can not shut up.

Good to see you Pia! Hope you had a good day :) I've no idea what a mensch is so I'll take it as a compliment :D

Morning Trekfan - good to see you. I have to admit to having not a small bit of love for Bubble Boy, mostly for Jake's hysterical commentary. But yeah, Brokeback is right up there among the best films ever made IMO. Certainly the most life-changing that I've experienced.

I am a bit of a Zodi though, it must be admitted, and I thought Jake's performance in that was very different from his Jack in BBM but so extraordinary :D

Have a wonderful Friday to all those who have a holiday today and all those who don't :)

Hi there Nadine :D I just made the mistake of going outside - I nearly had my head blown off. I'm staying in now and Jaking for the day :D

Anonymous said...

It's actually quite sunny at the moment in London, but it rained really hard last night. In any case, I am staying in. Hubby is off to play music, so perfect time to treat myself some Jake movies...

I have to defend Bubble Boy - its not that bad! it's just a crazy film. And totally bring out all the mothers in us. Actually, film quality-wise, I think Highway is the bottom of my list, but Jake is too cute there and his character is kind of slashy, so I totally dig it.

So... that means "Proof" remains that only jake movie that I don't like.

so

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Afternoon Winterbird - I've got the place to myself too. I think it may be Brokeback for me as I've not seen it for what feels like a long time. Great to see that Channel 4 is showing TDAT tomorrow - just love that film (Radio Times gives it 4 stars :D).

Yep, it's Proof for me too. I'm not a big Highway fan (although I have tried to like it.... honest) but at least that has humour and Pilot's quite sweet. Proof is not the one for me. That's the one for me to question Jake about in a carpark :D

agent_krycek said...

I don't know which one I'd question Jake about, I don't really mind Proof, it's not great but it didn't make me want to poke my own eyes out. If anything it would be Moonlight Mile, but that's all to do with my irrational dislike of Ellen Pompothingy, which isn't really Jake's fault so would be unfair to corner him about - maybe I'll just corner him in a car park, and think of a topic later ;)

Anonymous said...

Defender of Bubble Boy. I love Bubble Boy because that will always be synonymous with the fun, wacky, weird side of Jake and he's done many other serious roles to balance his acting range out. I also love it because it's a movie you can just about, barely watch with younger ones (every other movie apart from TDAT (Yuk!!!) I have to send the 8 year old to bed.)

It's a great, wacky, suspend your disbelief kind of movie. The in-jokes are superb and extremely risque so that the younger ones are not corrupted and when they get older maybe 10 years later they can look at it and go "Oh my gosh, I didn't know it meant THAT!!"

Now, the next fun movie I'd like to see Jake in is one where he's stranded on a dessert island, has nothing but a loin cloth on, has a basketball to keep him company.... oh wait, I think that movie has been done before.... oh what the hell... a remake of Castaway, please Jake.

I've been looking at past posts both here and IHJ all the way back to 2001 and interviews he's done and he's still the same... so charming, funny, sweet, complimentary and unpredictable. How I'd love to just hang out with him just for half a day in my lifetime (I'm not greedy). I'd put wrinkle paint on my face 'cos I know he finds them sexy and I'd hide my pens, hoping he'd find them.

Happy Easter Everybody!! Thank you all for making it so much fun here.

paulh said...

"we're just trying to have some fun here! On second thoughts, I disagree with number 1 ;D" [WDW]

"So... that means "Proof" remains that only jake movie that I don't like." [Winterbird]

That makes me the great contrarian voice here. I shall watch "Proof," while wearing a bird shirt. ;-)

"I just made the mistake of going outside - I nearly had my head blown off. " [WDW]

Yep, the gusts of wind are still pretty bad here, too. :-(

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hey there Agent K - your dislike of Ellen is becoming legendary :D I really like her though and I liked the chemistry between her and Jake a lot more than I did that between Jake and Gwyn.

I love how we all like different films here.

Hey Sheba - yes, I love Bubble Boy but I adore TDAT! A huge weakness for Wet Sam. I love Action Jake and I'm ready for that in any future film. I liked Castaway very much - I wouldn't mind seeing Jake on a desert island (so long as his hair was kept under control...).

That's so great you've been looking back at old posts. There are some good interviews to be found so I hope you enjoyed them. I'd love that half a day too - I wouldn't need the wrinkle pen though :(

Hi there Paul! I can picture you watching Proof in a bird shirt :D We all love Jake and yet we all approach him in our own unique ways - love that and it makes all of us a lot more interesting as well :D

I do hope I'm not distubing you all with playing Muse's album too loud ;D

Friday it is, then: windy and cold here, but whut the whut, its springtime! I LOVE "diamond geexer", Roget, never heard it before.

Favorite Jake movies. No intention of seeing Proof, I dont like Gwyneth. I am with Agent K in Moonlight Mile being not a favorite but not because of Ellen P, although I felt no chemistry at all between herself and Jake. But I blame this on script, and Brad Silberman, whom I thot too involved in the story personally to have enough distance, and the entire picture sort of incestuous, involving Marthas Vineyard, Mama and Papa G. pm the set as well as on the Island, film references to The Graduate, etcetec - so many things annmoyed me about this film. Loved the song, though! And opening shot.

Zodiac - fine film. top notch. Jake, no. Miscast. Fault of Robert Greysmith's presence and Fincher's style. Jake/Fincher are not a match.

Jake has a lovely comic sense - BBoy, Highway. Fun.

Goodgirl, Lovely and Amazing I liked alot, above and beyond Jake, good films -

Favorites: Donnie Darko and BBMt.

I like Rendition very much, a most excellent film: but gimme more Jake pie, I love Jake pie.

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hi there Pia :D I've gotta say that I do love MMile - not least for that soundtrack wich I just adore. As for Zodiac, well, I thought the relationship between Jake and Fincher on set was a difficult one but it was certainly productive and creative and I love what they made together. Good Girl is slowly growing on me over the years - I love everything about it except the story!

I may never be able to form an objective (well as objective as I can be about Jake) about Rendition due to the incredible experience of TIFF.
