Jake catches up on his reading before Nailed gets back to work on Monday

Some good news today - although it has a bit of a deju feel about it - Variety is reporting that the problems on The Nailed Set are resolved - again - and filming will resume - again - on Monday. Hopefully, this time, it will last the week. 'A rep for the film said funds have been deposited to resolve the payment shortfalls that resulted in below-the-line crews refusing to work Thursday and Friday.'

What this also means is that Jake Gyllenhaal's visit back home to LA will be a flying one. And, judging by the new photos of Jake and Reese in Brentwood yesterday, Jake's got some ambitious reading plans. Looks like it could be a weekend spent with his feet up.

WDW will be back later...

Thanks to IHJ for the new pictures!

Those Paps certainly have an uncanny knack of being in the right place at the right time, don't they? Could be one of many reasons why Jake looks as miserable as sin in this latest set of pictures :-(

Having to fly from coast to coast so often is bound to drag him down too.Let's hope that he gets some private time to rest and recuperate away from the cameras this weekend.

Hi Nadine :D I think it's bound to be very tiring flying all that way just for a weekend after a long and I'm sure pretty stressful week on the Nailed set. I would have thought Jake will make sure he has some private downtime to relax over the next day or two.

The Brentwood Country Mart is a neighborhood shopping place as I understand it, and very popular with residents. I have seen quite a few pictures of other "celebs" shopping there, especially Naomi Watts. WDW, is this one of the places you visited when you were in LA? Paps always hang around certain places like LAX, and the shopping areas celebs frequent.

In NYC in SoHo, the paps often travel in teams, making a continuous circuit of the area, shops, restaurants, hotel entrances. I've seen them in action there and they are very agressive and scarey.

Hope you are feeling better, WDW.

Morning Bobbyanna :D I didn't go up to Brentwood on this trip but I did go to the mart last year - very nice :D I did go to the Grove and saw some paps there who were leafing through mags in the Barnes & Noble there to see if their pics were in - they'd just seen Reese there that day.

But most of LA isn't like that and I've seen stars like Leo DiCaprio in the street with noone bothering them at all, and you can sit outside a cafe with Steve Martin and John Voigt at nearby tables etc and they're just like everyone else. I think that there are specific places paps target in any city.

I'm feeling much better, thanks! Just a horrible cough and little voice. I'm taking it easy :D Have a good weekend!

They both look pissed, but not to worry they will be spending time in Ojai this weekend, pap free.

C'mon folks, let's keep it light, and we have no idea where Jake and Reese are spending their weekend and that's how it should be - I only know it's sunnier there than it is here.

Good Saturday all.

Yes Jake looks a bit tired but he still looks amazing imo. He is working that T-shirt as he always does. His body looks great and that little peak of chest hair gives me a tingle, lol. ;p

The paps do have spots in LA that are known for celebs to go and the Brentwood Country Mart, Malibu Country Mart, the Doctors offices in BH are spots that a ton of celebs have been papped at. I am sure they realize that. Otherwise I am hope/think Jake goes freely around L.A. without being bothered.

I really hope he gets some rest and some private downtime this weekend before he goes right back to work. He has lots of reading to enjoy, lol. Personally, I love magazine reading.

WDW, glad you are feeling a bit better. :)

Have a great day everyone!

Got my Im Not There DVD - will be my Sat eve treat. I think I'll have an Uncle Bob day -

Sometimes I'm in the mood, I'm gonna sleep in my pony's stall
Sometimes I'm in the mood, I ain't gonna do nothin' at all
Sometimes I'm in the mood, I wanna fly like a cannon ball
But then again, but then again, I said oh, I said oh, I said
Oh babe, I'm in the mood for you.

Always in the mood for Jake.

Jake looks relaxed and breezy in those airport photos.

Some years ago, Jake told an interviewer that "Willow" was his favorite movie. The actor who played the title character in that film is in "Prince Caspian," the latest installment of "Chronicles of Narnia." I must like this actor, as I've seen 13 of his movies. :-)

Hey Pia :D That's great your I'm Not There DVD! Enjoy :D I got my replacement Zodiac DVD today - I thought I'd lost it when all the time Mr WDW had taken it with him while he works away in the week!

Hi Paul - I can't remember that actor's name but I saw him once when I was in Disney World in Florida when he took part in a Star Wars parade :D He was very popular. I can't watch the Narnia films as I love the books too much :)

I've been a little apprehensive, but I went anyway, because Reepacheep (the swashbuckling mouse) is my favorite character in all of fantasy literature. I couldn't *not* see what the filmmakers have done with him. Indeed, one of the midgets in "Prince Narnia" performed the role of Reepacheep in an earlier version for television.

They're making "Voyage of the Dawn Treader" next, and I can hardly wait. There are passages in that story that are awesome and wonderful. I get goosebumps just thinking about it. I wish there were a way to get Jake into that movie, sigh. ... Oh, but that would put you on the horns of a dilemma, wouldn't it: wanting to see whatever movies Jake is in, but wanting to avoid the Narnia adaptations. Sorry. :-(
