A touch of class and a walk in the park

Just a very short time ago, Maggie Gyllenhaal appeared on the Late Show with Letterman looking absolutely stunning. Hopefully, we will get the chance to see the interview later but, in the meantime, here are pictures of Maggie outside the Letterman studio looking 100% like the leading lady in the summer's biggest movie.

A walk in the park

Big thanks are due to Stephanie at IHJ, because, after not a little effort, she has found high quality pictures from Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon's walk in the Jardin du Luxembourg in Paris on 11 July, and these are dedicated to all those tired of the beanie and who want a better look at that hair and my new favourite t-shirt ...

You can see many more at IHJ.

Hi Anon! He certainly does! :P

Those hair is getting so out of control and so GORGEOUS at the same time :)

don't get this the wrong way, I normally don't comment on Reese, cos she doesn't interest me at all. but come on, leggings??

Hi Winterbird! It reminds me of what I wore 20 years ago but I suppose these looks come round again.

Jake just looks incredible with this untamed hair. I was looking at the pics here of Maggie and Jake and thinking how similar they look.

Where is the sunshine?

Well, Jake's giving a new meaning to wet dark and wild, sure enuff. . .

and yes he is mind boggling gorgeous -

but Im afraid he's not gettin' between MY sheets with that hair-do -

and Maggie - omy - I hear Letterman swooned -

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Morning Pia, mind boggling indeed. Well, I'm sure I can find some sheets for Jake if yours don't want him!! Maggie looks sensational.

Finally I know where US Weekly got the pic from. :o) This longer hair really suits him. It makes him looking more and more princelike. I hope people will stop complain seeing him in the outfit and acting.

And Maggie - her outfits are stored in my mind - just in case friends want me to design special outfits for them including silk painting etc. They're always a nice inspiration. :o)

I agree the time of leggins was in the 80s... but everything comes back sooner or later.

posting at same time, WDW.

yes, they are very similar in looks, and also personality, it seems to me - gleefully playful, with that same quality of quicksilver, so you cant take your eyes off them -

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hi there T! Yep, definitely the same set as on the cover of US Weekly. I can hardly imagine what Jake will look like with the costume as well. I do hope we get some advance pictures.... they must take mercy...

I do like Maggie's outfit in the pictures today - extremely unusual and very flattering. I love her complexion.

Pia - posting at the same time again! I like the playful, and self-assured.

Look, what I've found *jumps*

The stunning Prince Of Persia game trailer in HD. I think it's for a new game but this Prince just melts my heart. The music is beautiful, too. Jake is SO gonna look like him. It migh take some time to download.

Hi Zodiac! Thanks :D I simply love love all the stuff coming out at the moment about the new game. It can't be a coincidence. I'll have a look at this when I get home - I've seen other versions but not a hi-def one! Thank you :D

I'm still playing the Sands of Time and I'm not doing well... I must practice more

Hi WDW - Hi everyone!

Maggie was talking about having to do "tick checks" when she is in Martha's Vineyard, soooo I'm thinking, if she has to do them, then so does Jake. Finally!!! A job I am qualified for. After living in the deep woods for 30 years, I can find 'em, and I can get 'em off you. :)

How do I apply? It must be done at least once a day, or twice. But in Jake's case we must be thorough, so perhaps every hour, on the hour? :)

Thanks so much to you and to Stephanie for the new pics. The last one is especially gorgeous!

I'm off for now. Have a great day everyone!

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hi Neely :D That's a job I may fight you for! But ugh ticks... I had an encounter with one of those in Africa - I preferred the lions... But as far as inspecting Jake for tics - you can never be too careful or too thorough :D

This is one is definitely in HD.

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Thanks Zodiac :D

WDW, since you're playing the Sands of Time can I ask you a question about one moment in the game where I've been stuck for a couple of days? I'm this ** close to calling my ex and asking him. He used to be a big fan. Not Jake's, Prince's:)

If so, I'll send you an email.

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Yeah, email me Zodiac - you're probably further on than me but I may be able to help :D I can never get the time-standing-still thing to work long enough for me to use the dagger. Thank heavens for all the rejuvenating fountains :)

Anonymous said...

Watched that trailer too with big eyes. I stopped playing PC games a very long time ago... blisters on my fingers from the joystick - killed the hero too often - it was sooo frustrating. I ended up watching others playing - less painful for me and more fun. :o)
A friend is still playing with me watching and making comments - not always useful. :o)

See WDW - that I meant... you know what to do but you're not fast enough or whatever. And paying for every curse... got a bit too expensive :0)

Wet Dark and Wild said...

I know what you mean, T. I'm too slow on the draw, particularly when the Prince is attacked by a whole swarm of sand monsters all at the same time, or he refuses to leap off pillars in the right direction. I wonder if Jake has been playing it - I suppose he must have! He'd want to get an idea of the background even though the film will be very different.

Anonymous said...

Maybe there'll be a game based on the film too... Killing poor Dastan... I'm not sure if you can live with that fact. :o)
I hope your hands won't shake too much while hitting the right buttons because you're focused too much on the Prince.

T.

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hey T, I really hope a game does accompany the film, especially one that Jake narrates and models for :D He'd get bored with my gameplay though as I'd try to keep him out of all harm's way :D

Jake Gyllenhaal's House Rules
washingtonpost.com

Has Jake Gyllenhaal already broken one of Reese Witherspoon's rules? (Reuters)If you're Jake Gyllenhaal or any one of the several nosey parkers (like me) interested in the private lives of celebs, you've probably seen the so-called "relationship rules" allegedly imposed on him by girlfriend Reese Witherspoon. This scoop comes to us straight from Star Magazine, purveyors of some of the hardest hitting celebrity journalism available in your local grocery check-out aisle so, of course, it is probably true.

The supposed rules were apparently prompted by Jake's move into Reese's L.A. home and mainly focus on household etiquette -- no shoes inside, when to take out the trash, no feet on coffee tables (bummer) -- but also limit Jake from swearing in front of Witherspoon's young children.

But, this just in -- apparently Jake has some rules for Reese, too. And, as luck would have it, we managed to muscle Star and OK! out of the way to bring you the story first.

Jake's Rules for Reese

1. If I "accidentally" call you Kirsten, you'll answer without skipping a beat.

2. Never complain that I spend too much time with Lance Armstrong and Matthew McConaughey. I just can't quit them, okay?

3. If I hear the words "let's work together again," it's over.

4. I was Donnie Darko; you were Elle Woods. Act with all appropriate deference.

5. Birthday present: Bike shorts. Christmas present: Bike shorts. Spontaneous present: Bike capris. See where I'm going with this?

Perhaps you, too, are in possession of some of Jake's leaked rules. If so, share them below.

Anonymous said...

BTW - it's a second trailer ubisoft had published for that game. The first one was impressive too. Fortunately, I found both on the hard drive again to watch them again.

"Perhaps you, too, are in possession of some of Jake's leaked rules. If so, share them below."

I think Jake himself once suggested a rule of road: get a life, people!

Anonymous said...

I guess jokes about Heath and Jake are totally off limits now, so it has to be Lance and Matt and Jake...and biker shorts. Too bad they really know so little about Jake or his interests. Even their humor is flat.

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Please do not start up again people!

DO NOT swear at any poster here.

Anon - thanks for the link - I was very surprised to see the Washington Post picking up on such a stupid story! Mind boggles.

And yes, Anon 18:53, they know very little about Jake so it's hard for them to be funny aout him.

Well, thanks a bunch guys. I wasn't around as spending time doing another post and uploading things for here. To the anon who said this blog is ruined and no longer intelligent, I just want to say, please don't take up a career in motivational speaking.

Can I remind everyone that this blog, which takes an ENORMOUS amount of time and other resources, is about celebrating and loving Jake, nothing else. The rest is up to you.

I do love Jake - too much!

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Me too, anon :D

I can't believe this man's arms. Every time I think of how wonderful it would be to have those arms around me I swear I am having a heart attack.

Sigh...have had computers issues but did see the bust up the other day and now again. :(

WDW, please know that those of us who are faithful readers really appreciate all the time and effort you put into this blog. It is a wonderful place of (usually) respect and one of the best places to enjoy Jaking. I love all the regular posters here a lot and won't let any ridiculousness from Anons, etc. get in the way.

On to the good stuff... thanks for all the great new pics of Jake in Paris. Love them all. And all the Maggie stuff has been great too. She has been stunning at the premiere and in all the interviews. Can't wait to see TDK tomorrow. I know it will be with mixed emotions but the ride will be worth it I think. :)

Take care all

Good to see you Get Real :)

Anonymous poster - that is the unkindest comment I have ever had here, in one year and three months. Please do not feel obliged to read either comments or posts.

All critical comments are to be addressed to ME and not to readers. All nasty comments aimed at readers will be deleted.

Except the ones aimed at me - I rest my case.

P.S. You are right, I can read the same thing and see the same pics elsewhere - goodbye!

Love the post...of course I have to catch up...I am so behind. Maggie looks lovely in her beautiful black dress but then she's always elegant, classy and lovely.
TY for all the POP information.

I can't believe how bad MSM humor/satire is this week; first The New Yorker cover of Barack and Michelle and now WAPO. It must be the heat. At least WAPO isn't having subscribers cancel, but if they keep it up this silliness it might happen. Print media is in enough trouble as it is...

WDW, I just read backwards and up...silly me... I'm so sorry your blog is being bombarded this week. The behavior is totally rude and wrong.. Yours is one of the most informative Jake spaces on the Internet.
Hell, I learned to stay away from Jake and Jake/Reese hate blogs after much lecturing from folks here, at my other fav blog and from my self-lectures delivered in the shower; now they come over here. If you don't mind my interfering nosiness, maybe a partner for a while to make them vanish when you have to be away for a while or at work...if you like...it might help...especially since it seems like they want to run daily attacks now; I thought they were fini.
I love/adore Jake too much to take any of troll craziness... so so glad you're here for us:)
I can't wait until Saturday night for my dose of TDK:)

Hi Sass! Thanks for the support, much appreciated. This wasn't to do with anyone disliking Jake and Reese, this was something else entirely, sigh. I love/adore Jake too much, too :D

I do agree about the standard of the printed press recently :(

Have a good day!

Hello WDW and all,
so sorry to have been away from this blog for so many days, blame work deadlines and general exhaustion.
Some random thoughts...

- loved loved loved Ted & Lisa's account, especially Jake's humour, spontaneity, how all 3 of them seemed to have hit it off, if not immediately, certainly very soon into the conversation... I can't even describe what Jake's using the present tense to talk about Heath has done to me... ♥

- Jake's unruly hair... like winterbird said, it's growing on me ... he looks more gorgeous by the day to me...
I also loved his choice of attire in Paris; without reading the comments here I also thought it reminded me of Heath somehow...

Oh my... those pics of him strolling by the Avenue Montaigne road sign just did me in...

- Haven't had time yet to watch the Maggie clips you posted, WDW, but will do soon. Maggie looks stunning in her black dress at the premiere, and I was once again reminded what a beautiful and classy couple she and Peter are.

- Those moving tributes from Michael Caine, Gary Oldman and Chris Nolan to Heath's performance were heart-warming, to say the least! ♥

I've missed all the recent nastiness that seemed to have happened here, and I'm so grateful to WDW for keeping this space sane and classy, and respectful to Jake.

Cheers,
Paola

Hi Paola - goo to see you! It's been a tough few days all round and continues...

I do love Jake's clothing in Paris - it feels like a different look, although I suppose it isn't. A bit like during Jarhead when Jake just carried himself differently and wore clothes differently.

Ted and Lisa's account was wonderful :)

Thanks Paola xx
