Updated! The Tour de France continues! Jake out and about on Bastille Day

Mon Dieu! Jake Gyllenhaal is keeping us on his toes as he continues his tour de France - well, Paris. With more thanks to Stephanie at IHJ, who should be charging overtime, here are pictures of Jake today wearing two outfits. The first is sensational, partly because of the flowing hair and the calf muscles. The second features our old friend - le cardigan! I know many will be pleased that Jake took this trusty garment with him on his travels. The Nike also makes a welcome return.

Incidentally, today is the anniversary of Storming the Bastille back in 1789 - Vive la France! Vive le Jake!

Photos with many thanks from IHJ.

Update

And now updated to add another new picture from today - this picture shows a happy, grinning, beanied Jake with a book - so who can see what the title of the book is? Tale of Two Cities..? Non?

And another update for a picture from IHJ:

Pic from here and another from IHJ.

Sacre bleu! Jake's keeping you on your toes, WD&W! I'm groovin' the long hair. He's purty.

I just realised I was in Paris three years ago on July,14. The fireworks on the Eiffel Tower were amazing. I remember they were shooting The DaVinci Code around Louvre when I was there. I wish I was there now... I'm grooving the long hair, too.

Jake - voulez-vous couchez avec moi, se soir?

He is purty, maybe he has come from le coiffeur. N'en coupez pas trop, Jake!

(guess who found her French phrase book?)

Bon nuit JoeAnn! hey Sacre bleu - love it :D Jake is purty :D

Hi Zodiac! Bastille Day is a great day to be in Paris - love it. So much going on. I wish I was there too now :D Loving the long hair!

Hey Ruby - that's a goodie - I just about get ya but are you saying 'Never enough hair?' or 'Never enough cutting of the hair?' or are you talking about horses again. YOU are my French phrasebook :D Non? As for your first question, I've already booked le couche.

Please may Jake not go to Sweden as then I'm going to be in mighty trouble with my Swedlessness...

Ruby said...

It means "Not too much off!'. But never enough hair is pretty much the sentiment. :D

No, no, I think he should go to Sweden one day, meet up with other Gyllenhaals. I wonder how many Gyllenhaal are out there is Sweden...

OMG Adding yet another photo!! And this one comes with a quiz....

That's true, so not Sweden, how about Iceland! My Icelandic is worse than my Swedish...

O lets stay in Paris - Im feeling SO romantic! -

Speak low when you speak love
Our summer day withers away too soon, too soon
Speak low when you speak love
Our moment is swift, like ships
adrift, we're swept apart, too
soon

I wait, darling, I wait,
Will you speak low to me,
Slow to me, oh please,
Just don't say no to me
Let it flow to me, slow to me
Soon...Soon...Soon...
Ooo...Soon...Darling, speak low to me
Darling, speak slow to me...
Oh, oh, oh!

If I had a warm baguette, Pia, I'd be eating it! I need some moules frites...

So what's the book!

The book is The Once & Future King.

Thank you anon! Thot I made out the word "King" - Jake looks delighted.

I wonder if the book is research, if it will tie in with Prince of Persia somehow? I wonder if our warrior Prince will be a skilled archer, on horseback? It's very elegant and beautiful.

I would love to see Jake as Lancelot!

WOW!! Ms. WDW..you have been one busy woman..and I thank you so very much for all the pics..of scruffy Jake...as you know, not my fave Jake..but I will take scruffy over nothing. LOL!! I love the long hair..but hate hate hate the facial hair. I am guessing he is going to be clean-shaven for POP...well this girl hopes so anyway. The knit hat is a bit alarming to me...there is something about that hat that screams "homeless person"..kind of makes my skin crawl a bit...I guess he has his reasons for wearing it..perhaps to keep the hair extensions in place? Thanks again for all the eye candy...

Morning everyone! Back at work, sigh, but prospect of fun with Ruby this evening! Yehay :)

Thanks for the title of the book :D I had emails about that too so thanks for those - I know that book :)

Thanks for commenting, anons :D

Morning Pia! Thanks for the link. I can't wait to see.

Hi Paul - Jake as Lancelot - oh my, that would be fabulous :D

Morning Michele :D That's a lovely hat! But I'll forgive you :) Maybe the scruff will go for the Prince.

Squee! I stayed in a hotel on Avenue Montaigne (Area 8?)! it's so exciting to see Jake being in the place... that's where all the big labels are. I wonder if his Hotel is around there as well?

The long hair look is definitely growing on me. If he keeps it up, he can be Russell's Crowe's handsome younger brother in the "ruggedly handsome hunk" department :)

Morning everyone!

Morning Winterbird! Glad to hear the hair's gowing on you (that sounds odd!) and now there are new pics :D

Have a good day everyone!
