Jake Gyllenhaal leaving Cipriani Restaurant in Mayfair (3 October) - Updated
Jake Gyllenhaal knows we've missed him and so he's making up for lost time and giving us a weekend full of Jake. Here we have Jake, last night, leaving the Italian restaurant Cipriani in Mayfair, although not necessarily by the front door. And here we are treated to a better look at Jake's beautiful and much-missed face.

So glad his face looked swollen cos he was munching an apple - had an awful feeling for a minute that our famous hypochondriac health food fanatic had been persuaded to bulk up with steroids for this part and had some of the tell-tale facial "blow-up". Eek!
Chuckle, Anon :D No, healthily munching on fruit instead :D I know people who eat an apple in two bites, thank heavens Jake hadn't been doing that - that would've looked worrying...

His eyes are amazing in these Cipriani pics - and the PoP pics, I know these are informal pics, but with the robe, and they eyes and hair, he looks like a Jinn spirit or something. I can't wait to see more. It's so difficult to be an actor trying to do something to make people happy, and there's so much gossip and negativity - I hope he can rise above it and keep his beautiful eyes on an amazing film. :)

Jake looks high/drunk in these pics not hot. Take of your blinders, it looks like he is on something to keep his weight down and "pep" him up because he is tired.
He wouldn't be the 1st actor to use drugs for that purpose, and no he doesn't look like the old Jake,he looks tired and wasted.

Anon, you're entitled to your opinion but I most certainly DO NOT agree with you (and that's not because I'm wearing 'blinders'). He's leaving a restaurant at night after a hard week at work with long physical days - and could well have had a drop of red. Jake can look tired AND hot, whereas I would look tired and wasted.

It's impossible to know what's going on from a just a photo alone, photos that are bound to have some distortion (if there is, I just don't see it) by being reproduced on blog sites. When i say that he doesn't look his best I mean his skin (spiteful drug comments aside as I have not known enough druggies to be able to spot the signs), he need a skincare routine for London. In LA I guess things are simple as you can just let the rays of the sun do the work, but this is England (no pun intended). I think that Jake needs some Nivea.

Jake doesn't look hot, he looks tired, drunk, bemused/annoyed in these pics. He does not look happy.
In the previous pics he is smiling through his capped teeth but that's probably because he was leaving the studio, filming has ended. He is getting into a car.
I don't think filming this movie has been a happy expirence for him, i bet he can't wait until he is done,
I disagree entirely. The previous pictures at Pinewood look to me like they were taken when he was being driven from his trailer to where the filming was taking place, not least because of the light. Those were not taken at the end of the day.

sorry for the delay in posting, munchkins. i've been so crazy busy with shooting this film, the hours are so long that when i come home, i'm absolutely shattered.
oh and when i say "busy," i mean "hanging out with jake gyllenhaal" while th crew sets up shots. that's right, i'm that hype.

just to clarify, he texts his girly reese like every two seconds (mostly while the crew is setting up the next shot) and has his mobile hidden in his costume. she even flew down to morocco when they were filming there, so no, i'm not gonna have a secret rendez-vous with him. although the lovely gentleman who plays his brother, tobey kebbell...i mean DAY-UM! he totally knows i fancy him, and his makeup artist told me half-jokingly that i was invited back to his trailer after the day's shoot...i refrained this time, but come monday morning, he's mine, bitch.

Hey WDW et al. While I agree that some of the fun of Jake-blogging is speculating as to his motives and actions in both his life and career,sometimes when that speculation gets a bit combative and aggressive as it sometimes gets here and on other blogs,I'm reminded of some advice Jake gave those who admire him and follow his career.
I can't remember or find the exact quote but he recommended that instead of worrying about him we should be concentrating on our own lives. He's no dimwit,that Mr.J.Gyllenhaal :-)
