Arrivals - and the Pinewood PoP set

So, who made the Atlantic two hours wider without anyone noticing? A brief interlude tonight due to having spent more hours than expected on an aeroplane with the most peculiar entertainment system. It was bust, which meant that films changed randomly and would suddenly return to the beginning with no warning. One minute one could be settled, watching The Dark Knight or Tropic Thunder, and then, in the next, the screen would be determinedly fixed on Wall-E. And if Jake Gyllenhaal was likewise flying across the pond today, for once I was grateful for avoiding a near miss.

An extra two hours in the air means that I've had little time to experience much tonight other than a spot of Vivaldi outside Fulton's Crabhouse of Downtown Disney. The combination of warmth and Christmas decorations is a pleasing one. And you can never have enough of The Weather Channel.

Fortunately, other people have been more on the ball when it comes to Jake, and a lucky visitor to Pinewood has posted a couple of pictures of the Prince of Persia set - a set which has largely stayed hidden from view over the last few months. So big thanks to them!

Includes pictures from IHJ, WDW and links.

wow really suprised that peson was able to take photos. I had a job interview in Pinewood and there were very fierce signs everywhere saying NO PHOTOGRAPHS. So I didn't take any but was itching to take one of the sign for 'Goldfinger Way' one of the 'streets' in Pinewood.

Hey WDW! Have a great time in Florida. Sooo jealous, love all the theme parks. Can you check on how the Harry Potter world is coming along for me please?
Tower of Terror is my fave ride in the whole of the world. That and Hulk at IoA and Kraken at SeaWorld. Ooo and that Yeti one at Animal Kingdon is pretty darn good too, And the Mummy Returns at Uiversal. Oh! I could go on and on!
Have fun!

Good morning! I hate to say it... but a gorgeous sunny day out there!

Thanks X! It's so nice feeling that I have you all and Jake with me :D My word is culpalai which sounds like something very bad indeed...

Hi Anon! Thanks for commenting. I was extremely surprised too, as all we've heard is how secret the set is. I hope you had success with your job interview.

Hey LJF! Good to see you :D Blimey, you like all the scary rides - I can't do any of them, particularly not the Tower of terror and that Everest Yeti ride. Or the Mummy... and the Hulk ride looks terrifying! I did go on the logflume coaster at Seaworld (Journey to Atlantis?) once, but only for a bet.

I do enjoy wathing all the mad people on these rides and then tottle off to go on a gentle ride at the Animal Kingdom or Epcot! I've heard about the Harry Potter new area, I think it opens next year :D

Have a lovely Sunday everyone! I wish you were all here :D

Hope you are enjoying the Florida sunshine... I love some crab meat myself...

Hmmm... the PoP set looks like a theme park! The shooting has been finished?

I've only been to the Disneyland in Tokyo but that was over 12 years ago... I am sure now they have all those new stuff that I don't recognise at all.

Hey Winterbird! Hope you've had a good weekend. That's very true - Jake had his own themepark for 6 months. It's strange being in Disney thinking that Jake will be its biggest star of 2010.

Hi Zodiac! Good to see you :D
