Paris beautiful in the springtime - but time to move on

With the glorious warm, sunny weather that many of us in western Europe are enjoying at the moment, Jake Gyllenhaal got chance today to spend more time in a beautiful city and feel the sun on his skin. It also gave him the chance to model a new hat. Back on the Avenue Montaigne, a solo (not counting the paps) Jake visited the chic Fendi store, which, while still hardly a Primart or even a Debenhams, doesn't have the dress code of a Nina Ricci, say... Never let it be said that a scarf is merely to keep its wearer warm.

Then later it was off to le Bourget Airport to board a private jet (I have one of those on my Christmas list). So where to now? Do Reese's heels suggest another short flight?

Many thanks to IHJ (there are many more there), who are no doubt hoping this means Jake is on his way home to catch up with his washing.

LOL! What is it with Jake and grampa hats? This is so weird, he's been looking so young these days (especially shaven) and yet he keeps wearing these hats that truly make me thing of old men. Maybe it's just me... :)

I've been wondering why Reese is promoting her movie all over non-english speaking Europe. The movie is a cartoon that will be translated, won't it? It won't be her voice, so technically, she won't be in these versions of the movie.

We've been so spoiled with pictures of Jake every day, I'm worried we'll all go into shock when this trip ends! :D

Good night, wet dark!
So good to see Jake before my class of literature!
He is so young, beautiful, sexy, hot ...

Hi Olympia! I must agree with you about this hat?! Why must Jake wear a hat like this, when his own head of hair is just too gorgeous for words... He must be playing with us :D

I hadn't thought about the translated voices, but that's true. But I suppose this film liake any other needs its stars. It's been such a crazy few days - and maybe this isn't the end?

Night, Monica :D Ooh, that's great you're studying Literature. My degree is in medieval and 16-18th century English lit (with some classics thrown in). Very sexy and hot... :D

I hope everyone is having a lovely afternoon/evening!

Wow... that Fendi perfume hubbie got me for Mother's Day last year is suddenly getting an entirely new look. Ehm... smell... erm.... fragrance, of course.

Erm.... never mind.

*apologises for silly comment, but appreciates the piccies*

Hey ~elfie! I didn't know about Fendi perfume - being a Gucci and Lancome girl, but now I'm going to think of it as Jake Scent :D Give us a spray! Always great to see you :D

I'd never noticed until this series of European pics, Reese wears a ton of black. I'm not feeling the love for the hat either, still, he's looking good as always.

Good to see you, JoeAnn :D You're right about the black - and the hat. But otherwise, Jake looks so good and very stylish. I'm loving the way he works that big scarf of his - another wardrobe favourite :D

The scarf I like. He's worn those often enough in the past. The hat though, it's just so . . .celeb-trendy--in a half twirpy way. Let Justin Timberlake, Britney and Johnny Depp have the grandpa hats. Jake should set his own style not follow a rehashed one from a couple of years ago.

I'm liking the continuation of the scruff-free face and the tidy haircut!

Hi WDW and all I am finally online again. Got a new laptop today:)

My head is spinning taking in all the traveling Jake and Reese have been doing over the past week.

Have to say I kind of like this hat. I am a bit biased though when it comes to hats as I love them full stop. He did look gorgeous in the suit when they were visiting that Nina Ricci store on yesterday's post.

I agree with the point made about Reese wearing a lot of black. I think she wears too much black and grey. She had a lovely blue dress on at it might have been the London premiere last week and she looked stunning then. I would say she should sack the stylist as brighter colours would suit her much better.

Happy St Patricks day to all who may be celebrating tomorrow.

Have a great evening;)

Morning everyone! Another beautifulday! But unfortunately back at work...

Hi JoeAnn :D I really do like how Jake wears that scarf. I can't see his taste for this kind of hat lasting - soon it'll be back to the Sox cap! The haircut's just too good for a hat.

Morning Carol! Glad you have a new laptop :D Jake looked great in that suit. I think Reese looks better in blues, too.

Have a good day everyone! And a good St Patricks to all who celebrate it :D

As WDW said, Happy St. Patrick's Day to all those who celebrate it (I'm wearing green today to join the festivity)

I won't say more about Jake and offending hats. I need to sit him on my lap and lay down some rules. i.e. No hats... ever.

Have fun and drink wisely!!!!!!

Hey WDW,
It's "Le Bourget" airport, not just "Bourget". Ask any French person, they never say without "le". FWIW.

Wet Dark and Wild said...

(((Sara))) I've just been out for a quick stroll in the sunshine and town is full of very drunk people in green who don't seem to be at all irish! Loving the idea of you laying down the law, you tell him!

Merci, Anon - I'll add a le :D

Did WDW turn Francophone all of a sudden? I thought you wrote your posts in English, WDW? ;-)

(Is airport really a French word?)

Oh, I know a great French word:

Le Sexxxxxx!

;-)

Hey Anna*) I like to consider myself a polyglot - I mean, I'm not, but I like to consider myself one. But, as always the truth will out - I am not French. But I know a great French word when I see one and that is it!!

At the moment though I'm typing with an Irish accent.

Hope you're having a good day!

I'm wearing green today too, WDW.
As for the private jet that you want, I have one waiting here, but I can't afford the postage to mail it to you. :-(

LOL, paulh! :-D

Typing with an Irish accent huh?
Well, no matter the efforts I will always be typing with an Italian one, I'm afraid. ;)

Oh the sun kissing Jake walking down the streets of Paris...
Fendi is one of the most glorious Italian maisons, very classy. Good for you, Jake!

Jake's using a private jet to go back in the States? I thought he'd swim back home! ;)

Have a good day WDW and everyone. :)

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Ooh thanks Paul! Do try and save up for the postage...

Ahh, I love the Italian accent, Xenia - we have a few accents here, I like that. Not totally approving of private jet use (that's a lot of nut trees Jake'll be buying). Jake in sunshine is a glorious sight - Spring (and less clothing) beckons :D

I have to own up that I am actually wearing green today, entirely accidentally :)

Jake continues to look gorgous as he continues to travel around the continent...sigh.

Happy St. Paddy's Day everyone!

Hi there Get Real! Jake looks so good :) I hope he had a good time as well, despite the schedule. Have a lovely day :D

There is a rumor going round that Natasha Richardson, who was injured in a skiing accident in Montreal two days ago, has died. She is Vanessa Redgrave's daughter and married to Liam Neeson. The Redgraves/Richardsons are a national treasure. If it is true, this is very sad. They said she'd suffered traumatic brain injury.

Anonymous said...

Anon, I certainly hope it is not true. The only thing I've read that I somewhat trust is that she is being flown from the hospital in Montreal, back to New York, and a medical team is with her. That would certainly not be the case if she had passed away. But I do agree that it is very sad for her family.

Hi Anons - it's a tragic story but it is now being denied that Natasha has died, thank heavens - I wish her and Liam well.
