Spring is in the air - and power through choices

Spring has sprung, and with the equinox tomorrow, heralding the change in seasons, it's that time of year to throw open the wardrobes, fill the charity shops, clear out the old and relish the promise of longer, warmer days with fewer layers (no hats) on Jake Gyllenhaal.

Time too to dust off the orange thing...

... and have a cup of vanilla.

Making, taking choices

Yesterday we were talking about the rich variety of roles that Heath Ledger took on during his too brief career. I saw today an old comment by Maggie about her brother's choices, especially the reasons why he took on The Day After Tomorrow. '"He wanted to have choices, which is something every actor wants. You know, you can get power to make movies that are really about something, that are really provocative, that will really change something, if you do a movie like that. And I think we both want that, even if we are going about it in slightly different ways. I have a lot of respect for the way he's doing it. I think he's doing it very gracefully." Choice is one of her watchwords, too: choice, power, control and, of course, honour.'

And finally

It's Mother's Day weekend in the UK and so it's appropriate to have trees full of flowers, as here in my hometown today. I'm on the move today and tomorrow so normal service will be resumed...

Includes pictures from IHJ and Just Jared.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL THE GYLLENHAALICS MOMS IN THE UK!!!!!

Spring time =O) Cool!!!!
(It's the first day of Fall for us)

I truly hope that Spring means no more hats for Jake. And less layers of clothes!!!!

You see?! He inspire happy albeit less deep thoughts. But can you blame me? So much hotness stop my neurones from working correctly.

Thanks for the lovely pictures =O)

Have a great Saturday!!!

Ah! Two natural beauties in the same post: Jake in jeans and a T-shirt (with no hat!) and a blossoming tree. Did you take the tree picture? It's beautiful!

I hope you have a great week-end and happy Mother's Day to all the UK mothers.

Hi there Olympia :D Yes, I took that pictrue at lunchtime yesterday - just a beautiful old tree at one of the oldest churches here. Lots of tourists were taking pictures of it so I thought I'd join in. It's beautiful! As is the other beauty of the post - the gorgeous Jake :D I hope you're having a lovely weekend.

I'm at my mum's for Mother's Day and the internet's working - hooray!

Happy Mother's Day weekend, WDW! Beautiful picture of flowering trees and architecture. Already have seen crocuses here in the NE US, and our flowering trees should be coming along soon too. Happy Spring! :)

Happy Mother's Day, Gyllenmoms!

Sorry Jake, but all I have to say today is "Kate, if that blossoming tree pic has been taken by you, I hope you make money photographing, because it's an amazing pic. And you have great eyes!"

Have a wonderful weekend, my dearests.

Ahhh, thanks so much, Monnie O! Photography is my hobby (well, after Jake! and also not when Jake is around as he makes my camera wobble). Hard to take a bad pic of such a beautiful tree. Have a lovely weekend *)
