Jake gets back to the Medical Center (20 April) - and time to vote!

Now that the starry excitement and fun of Coachella are over, Jake Gyllenhaal is back in Los Angeles and back to the 9 to 5, helping out at the Beverly Hills Medical Center (20 April). The battle lines are drawn...

The summer of 2006 will never be forgotten - the drama, the passion, the heat, the repetitive strain injury. This was the year of the legendary Great Battle, a battle that now rings out for future generations in the song of mighty warriors, as they sit in the warm light of their laptops, in the company of fellow braves, with overflowing glasses raised aloft in a toast to hearty comradeship, to worthy enemies overcome and to honourable defeat. For 2006 was the year that Hello Magazine's Most Attractive Man poll divided communities, split families, causing ramifications we must continue to deal with as we rebuild our lives...


Yep, in 2006 the Gyllenhaalics took on the Jon Bon Jovians (JBJans? JonJons? JonBons?) and lost! Even worse, Jake was also beaten by Hugh Laurie and the whole bundle of hotties were overcome by my mum's calendar boy Sean Bean! But never fear, we have been given another chance to redeem ourselves through our ability to vote every fifteen minutes. This initial stage is for the weekly winner and, as I write, the fandoms have yet to be put on red alert. Nevertheless, the Russell Crowe fans (Russellers? Crowers?) are awake and are trouncing Jake.
