At last, we have our first glimpse of Jake Gyllenhaal and Tobey Maguire together as Brothers Tommy and Sam Cahill. May the floodgates of publicity now open...

It's so great to have a picture for Brothers at last. Hopefully this means the trailers etc are on the way. Tobey definitely looks like the younger brother in this picture anyway. I hope we get a picture soon where we can see the tatoo clearly.

You know, we are always hoping for one of Jake's movies to come out, but it feels like the whole Jake-movie thing became somehow totally abstract and surreal over time. Like there was only the general idea of a movie, but no real movie behind it! Now this pic made me realize again that there is really an actual movie out there and that in fact we might see it one day in the hopefully not too far away future... I am not sure if you understand what I am trying to say, it's difficult to explain...
Damn, I can't believe how long it has been since Rendition came out! Too fucking long!!! And I hope Jake will make up for it by not letting us wait so long again!
Hi Uli! I know exactly what you mean - we've been talking about Brothers for so long - as this distant event on the horizon - you just feel it won't hapen. But now the signs are it's getting closer and we will see it! It's been way too long - way too long. I want to see Jake going back to work so we don't have to wait like this again. I like seeing pics of Jake out and about but that is nothing - nothing - compared to seeing what really matters - Jake the moviestar and actor. I feel good tonight as Brothers feels like it's on the way!
Ooooh this is exciting! This is going to be my first 'new opening film' of Jake's since I was a whole hearted fan. Crikey!

Hey TD! Enjoy it. I remember when Zodiac came out I flew to LA to see it as it was so exciting - although they cancelled the premiere afor some reason - but it was still such a thrill. It's been such a long time. I think Jake may still be ours until PoP :)

After the long drought, the flood of movies worth seeing has started. YAY! If we're lucky, not only will "Brothers" and "Nailed" come out this year, but more people will see them. According to "Esquire" (which I read in the doctor's office this morning), movie theater attendance is up 16% this year after years of decline.
My favorite teenage actor (Anton Yelchin) is in what might be the summer's two biggest blockbusters: "Star Trek" (as Chekhov) and "Terminator IV". There were interviews and reviews of those movies in "Esquire" as well.
I'm really on cloud 9 about what lies ahead. More sequels to "Ice age" and "Night at the museum." Another Harry Potter installment with some grandly horrific special effects.
Thanks God, Brothers exists after all!

Hi there Paul :) All that is such good news.I'm not surprised audiences are up. There are some good films coming for the summer and Autumn and I do hope Jake is in two of them! I'm looking forward to the second Night at the Museum film too :D I think I may have to see Star Trek again this weekend.

Lots of great movies coming up, saw Star Trek over the weekend, it was wonderful. With all the great special effects, it still had the flavor of the originals, and I loved the introduction of all the characters we've always loved over the years. Pavel Chekov was one of my faves too and I really liked Anton Yelchin, been hearing a lot about him lately too, Paul, and Lt. Uhura, Sulu and of course Kirk and Spock. Chris and Zachary were great. Heading out to see Terminatah this weekend, I liked the previews, and the way the scenes look, and want to see Public Enemies, love that era. Can't wait for Brothers; with all of these action movies it'll be good to see a drama, and this one I have really been waiting for. Have a great day -
Hi there Bertie! Delighted to hear you enjoyed Star Trek so much - many of these were new actors for me and I found them all completely believable. I was really surprised how much I enjoyed Simon Pegg as Scotty too - I thought those were unfillable shoes :D I'll be very interested to hear how you get on with Terminator - I'm not so sure at all about that one!
