Get Fit, Be Fit, Stay Fit in 10 Easy Steps - A Jake Gyllenhaal Guide

You might have noticed that Jake Gyllenhaal is rather fit, toned and hot. While this gives me pleasure in one way, it gives me guilt in another, and so this week I rejoined a gym, a lot less supple than when I last left it. This means you may have to put up with some aches and pains here at WDW (especially after the Legs Bums and Tums class), but it also means that I intend to put Jake to work, relying heavily on the Jake Gyllenhaal Get Fit, Be Fit, Stay Fit Guide. Needlesstosay, this essential guide will accompany the forthcoming excercise DVD, as previously advertised on WDW, plus a number of other products in the works*.

Jake's qualifications for fitness guru are well-known. It is even suspected that he attends the gym more often that he visits The Medical Center, but this is pure supposition and probably spurious. Nevertheless, it has been suggested that Jake chooses his film roles according to a location's gym facilities. As a result, we can be grateful for Jake's Handy Fitness Tips.

1. Variety, variety, variety.... Don't stick to the same routine. Do as many different exercises as you have parts of the body. But never, ever, ever do The Plank (or, as a compromise, only do it when the instructor is looking). Aim to afford a personal trainer.

2. Lose those excess pounds with classes, such as Step. As Wet Sam advised so wisely in The Day After Tomorrow: 'We'd better take the stairs'. I'm sure you'll agree that Sam, Laura, JD and Brian looked better for it.

3. Improvise. If you don't have a stability ball, for instance, make your own. Carry it around with you, if necessary.

4. Work out your aggression with some body combat, some martial arts, some boxing. How about some sword action?

5. Dancing is a great form of excercise.... and social.

6. Sex uses up the calories.... it too is social. Housework also works, but that's a last resort.

7. If someone leaves weights outside your trailer door, don't just trip over them - use them!

8. Make sure you have regular treats for all your efforts.

9. Use your new regime as an excuse to buy some exercise clothing and gear - socks, mats, sandals.

10. When you're hot, don't keep it to yourself.

Great post. I've just went back to the gym aswell after a long absence so I feel your pain WDW.

I love that Rendition scene. It's perfect that it appears at the beginning of the movie. Have to say that I like some of the deleted scenes on the DVD aswell.

Raining here but hopefully the sun will shine later. Have a great Friday:)

Thanks for some good laughs, WDW!!! Wonderful post as usual...

You know the good thing about the "carry around stability ball" is that it can also function as a "carry around sauna" (proven by a pic of a very sweaty Jake in a blue t-shirt).

And I am with BBMISwear - this post was so much better than the softball post!!
Well, if that softball post would have been a "Jake playing cricket" post it would have been a close runner up to this one, though...
I would love to watch a cricket match! I love the way they dress - so "yesterday" :D :D :D
When I was in Britain last year I drove past some guys playing. But I couldn't find a way to get to them and watch... :(

My word is a real word today: until

Have a good day everyone! :)

Good morning, wet dark!
I love many sports, like tennis, basebal, cycling, swimming, but my favorite is basketball.
Thank the person who informed on softbal in previous post.

I love the new post, especially the third photo. Sweet moment!

Yesterday, during the Lakers game, I saw Jake in Steple Center. Were the most precious seconds of the game.
AWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

Hi Carol! I'm very achy this morning - I feel like I rowed the Channel... We can spur each other on together! Have a good Friday too :D

Hey Uli! I loved seeing that scene of sweaty Jake getting out of the bubble :D I love watching cricket too - yesterday I walked past a field here with everyone in white playing the game. A lovely evening for it.

Morning Monica :D I like sports too. That's great you spotted Jake! I heard he was there - I hope some pictures turn up :D

Have a great Friday :D
