I stay with my prediction from a year ago - People's Sexiest Man Alive in 2010 will be Jake Gyllenhaal.
Of course, to us, he's #1 every year but I have to consider the inferior decision making process of the general public.

Ha! Now that's more like it! Pattinson first, pfff, 15 is still too high for my taste. I agree with the 3 first choices but would obviously put them in a different order. Jake first (duh!) and then Ryan and Johnny. They really should ask us what pictures to use for Jake, this one's not bad but it's in no way his best or sexiest. Look at number seven's picture, THAT is a sexy pic. At least they didn't use a silly one like number 13 LOL! If Jake is third this year, this means there really is hope for 2010. *crosses fingers*

People has just tweeted that the list isn't in order, except for Johnny Depp as no 1. I think that's a bit rich because that's not how it looks on the site. Designed to confuse, I'd say. Someone somewhere decided to place Jake third in the viewing order and I think that speaks volumes.

As for the film itself, well, I wasn’t as impressed as Pete Hammond was, but I do think it fits nicely in what has become a great trio of Middle East war films this year. I was less enthusiastic about Tobey Maguire’s performance than I was by Jake Gyllenhaal’s more natural portrayal. In fact, it seems that every time I see Gyllenhaal in something, I’m reminded of how underrated he is as an actor.
Exactly. Effortless and charismatic are also descriptions that spring to mind. I am chomping at the bit to see Jake up on the big screen again. The added bonus of Natalie and Tobey up there with him is ab fab :DD

WDW, I think they are right, it isn't in order. Else why would Ryan Reynolds come in ahead of Jake! Johnny Depp is like...Johnny Depp. But Jake is THERE.
