Thank heavens for the Beverly Hills Medical Center - just when Jake Gyllenhaal senses that we are missing him almost too much to bear, he pops back to the Center. So, not only does he make us happy, he also manages to put in some extra hours at the Center before he has to go off and do his other job. Looking good, Jake!
You can see the video here, which demonstrates just what questions one should not call out in the street. But Jake is cool, smiley and relaxed throughout. Many thanks to IHJ for the pictures -they are the perfect antidote to a dodgy encounter with a slab of vegan gluten-free banana cake.
A couple of days before, 27 January, Maggie Gyllenhaal was seen at the same Medical Center - maybe she was dropping off Jake's packed lunch.
I think this parking lot has a special reduced parking rate for paps, with a mug of tea and a bacon butty thrown in, judging by the number of paps who hang out here.

I've heard the paps ask stupid questions before. Like he'd really talk about his breakup.
I'm just glad to see he just ignores them and keeps on going to his car.
It seems Maggie and family are sticking around in LA for a while. I wonder if she or Peter are doing any business while they are there. Certainly hanging out with Jake I'm sure

Hi Sweetpea! Asking stupid questions seems to be a necessary qualification for many LA paps. I don't know why they'd imagine they'd get a response. Jake just looks so cool and relaxed here!
I think Maggie and Peter have both been doing work in LA, but I'm sure there's been plenty of times for Jake to rustle something special up in the kitchen :D

Lovely indeed! And I think I just said something along the lines of "he'll show up at the Medical Center soon enough" - LOL! That was quick! It seems like everyone is showing up at the Medical Center these days. I just love how he bops along ignoring the pap's questions, smiling, chuckling. Good days, good days. :-)

Ahhhhhhhh! I hadn't realized how much I missed seing him out and about until I saw the pics. Damn he looks good! Those are really great pictures. And that smile! It's so nice to see him looking so relaxed. :)
I hope BBMISwear posts the link to her Jake encounter, I couldn't read it when she posted it back then, I didn't have an LJ account and it was friends locked.
About the last post, I never had to read Catcher in the Rye in school because I live in a french province but hearing Jake and you guys talking about it made me curious so I got it yesterday. Can't wait to read it.

This has me laughing: "Sometimes Jake is like a London bus - you don't see him for weeks and then there's a whole bunch of Jake on the same day." Too funny!! And all we had to do was mention it enough (well, some of us - me - were border line whining) and now we're getting what we asked for! Like a London bus!

If Jake ever has a momentary forgetful spell, and can't remember where he was on a particular day, all he has to do is pop in here and see if there pictures of him coming out of a medical center or coffee shop or Whole Foods Market. :-)
Today I saw "When in Rome." There's good news and bad news. The bad news is that there were no Jake links in the movie. The good news is that several of the actors had worked with Maggie Gyllenhaal in "Great New Wonderful." Another cluster formed around movies that Anjelica Huston had been in (she was in this movie as well). One actress who played a grandmother at an Italian wedding earlier played Anjelica's mother-in-law in "Addams Family" and "Addams Family Values."
