PoP Saturday continues! WDW meets the legendary Jerry Bruckheimer and Behind the scenes...

Although short and snappy is the way to go as one tries to post a way through this incredible Prince of Persia London weekend, I thought, as I sit in my hotel room on the eve of the premiere and just a skip away from the Westfield Centre, that I should try and fit in something a little more personal. Tomorrow is a big day. This site has watched Prince of Persia come to life and tomorrow it feels as if it is at last unleashed. A year ago we were disappointed at the news of the delay of a whole year (having gone through the same delay with Brothers, and a possibly interminable one with Nailed) and now the day is here!

I've experienced a fair few Jake Gyllenhaal red carpet events over the years - I love to see Jake in his movie star element - and I admit that each one, as it happens, fills me with a little bit of panic! As someone with a very real fear of being trapped in enclosed spaces, being wedged in, in a crowd of strangers for hour upon hour, with every sense of doubt about how fruitful it will prove to be - it's a challenge. But the anticipation and the excitement of watching Jake centrestage is incredible. Tomorrow is another chance to fly. Hopefully, my allergy to Jake is now cured and I won't catch chicken pox (Cannes) or flu (Baftas) or flu again (Toronto) or hypothermia (Rome). Bring it on!

Today was a big thrill for me. While the live chat was taking place, we were meeting with a lovely WDW friend staying at Claridges (thank you so much for the PoP shirt!) - another of those glorious coincidences that has marked these three years - and outside I met Jerry Bruckheimer. He generously posed for pictures with everyone around and it was so exciting to have a photo with him, get an autograph, and tell him how much I enjoyed Prince of Persia last night. In a very fangirly moment (after all I am a big fan of this man!), I even boasted I was in the front row and Jerry kindly humoured me - 'good for you!'. It was good for me!

In addition too the live chat from today - which you can see in full in the previous post - today there are all sorts of clips and pieces from Prince of Persia and the press conference. Yesterday, I was delighted to finally meet in person the guys behind HeyUGuys, a really great British film blog, and they have done a recap well worth reading. They also resisted the urge to sit in the front row at the screening. Here is their video of the introduction.

I cannot hope to keep up to date with everything while I'm out in the PoP field, as it were, but it just means a lot of fun catching up over the week. This also means I will have to skip the gym - double fun. This post includes some of the videos. Do also take a look at the video from the BBC - in which Jake talks about being at the mercy of Mike Newell's game controller. I especially enjoyed these behind the scenes videos (thanks to BBMISwear for the heads up!).

So, Premiere day is almost upon us and I'll be there with camera and flip to hand, hopefully in a good position. I will also be in touch through the day and, if the technology works, posting pictures throughout. Look for the post with the livestreaming and for some of my own posts from the red carpet. Wonderfully, the red carpet is followed for me by another viewing of the film. Excellent!

Remember that the little competition for the 3D sticker and poster book ends tomorrow, on premiere day - what are the names of Dastan's father and two brothers? Mr WDW will draw the winners out of a hat on 10 May.

Pictures from WDW and Ruby! Thanks for making my day, Jerry!

Wet dark, I don't have the same feeling as you about JB. I hate all his movies. But I hope that POP is the first I'll like it!

Good to know you loved the movie.

Have another good day tomorrow with the prince.

The interview on Jonathan Ross was good. JR still annoying, but it was good to see that he asked many questions related to the film.

Jake was more interested in talking about the movie than make jokes. This is very good.

Thank you so much, Leslie! I think tomorrow will be amazing :D

Hi Monica - I love JB and his movies so it was incredible for me to meet him - a real iconic figure. Also love when Jake cracks jokes - he's so funny as well as talented :)

What a weekend... night!

It has been so wonderful to be a part of this with you,
WDW, for so many days building up to this!! What a day...what a weekend...what a day you will certainly have tomorrow! Can't wait to hear all the details and, in the meantime, I have been so enjoying all the great PoP stuff that has come our way. Jake didn't realize how huge this was going to be for him and we didn't realize how huge it was going to be for us...his fans...who have been here day in and day out for many years. This is a really, really great time for all of us. Enjoy WDW!!!! :-)
