Jake apologised to the audience for having lost a button off his jacket 'But apparently Mary Hart [the MC] isn’t wearing any underwear.'
The LA Times reported: 'And a tie-less and expletive-dropping Jake Gyllenhaal said of Portman, “She has recently announced that she is gonna have a baby, who will probably need therapy after watching ‘Black Swan.’"'
While hopefully a video of the speech itself will showup, at the moment we have a brief interview with Jake on the red carpet. The interviewer doesn't get many points for his questions...

I don't know why these reporters waste their time asking him questions they KNOW he won't answer. Why not ask him stuff they know he will or might answer. I'm still waiting for them to ask him questions about what he's working on now.
Two women I always thought would be good for Jake are Anne and Natalie (of course it's a moot point but I'm just thinkin out loud)

He's so adorable and funny! I'm so happy for Natalie. As I've said before, I've never been terribly moved by any of her performances, but she blew me away in Black Swan. She deserves every accolade.
Aww at Jake and Natalie. They seem to be good friends. Jake looks proud of her. :) I never found Carey Mulligan to be pretty. She's average looking to me. Natalie is beautiful. Then again, not everyone can look like Natalie. ;)

Jake said few nice and funny words about Nathalie. I wonder if it's all speech, or was it more? I'm looking forward to see some video of this.
Nathalie looked beautiful, pregnancy suits her. Jake looked warm, sweet and fine, though a bit tired for me. Maybe he flew away too late, had no time to rest and adjust to the other time zone.
I didn't quite get that joke about Mary not wearing underwear together in one line with his lost of the button. Did he meant they were doing something together ;)or that looking for his lost button he has notice that she didn't wear any underwear? :)
That interviewer wanted to take Jake by surprise asking him suddenly about Taylor and didn't success. And lost an opportunity to make fine interview with Jake. And Jake coped with it with grace.

Last night I saw 'Love and Other Drugs' and I’m pleased to report that the movie theater was full and there were many laughs throughout the movie.
Both Jake and Anne did a wonderful job with their portrait of Jamie and Maggie and the chemistry between them was amazing :-)
For me, these two things are the biggest strengths of the movie.
WDW, thanks for posting the Times interview the other day, I really enjoyed it, a lot of great Jake quotes in it :-)

Hello! Just got back from a wonderful day out with friends, including a much loved Jake friend over from the US. Wonderful. We toasted Jake for bringing us all together.

Hi Mermon - the joke probably loses in translation. It was just Jake joking that he may have lost his button but that's nothing because the presented had lost her underwear. Just a joke :) Jake responded very well with the interview.

Time for Jake to hire a stylist. One that won't allow him to attend a fancy event wearing a suit that has buttons falling off and one that won't allow him to wear brown shoes with a black suit.

The shoes are a combination of suede and leather and don't photograph well. They aren't "scuffed." They are not brown. Maybe the lighting makes them appear brown. Jake looks tired, but he's still amazingly sexy, and seems to be in a good mood.
I'm glad that the button and the shoes have finally gotten sorted out. I realize that one traditionally wouldn't wear brown shoes with a navy or black suit. However, if a person who is known as a paragon of fashion were to were that combination, then it would be all right. The Duke of Windsor would do that occasionally, and people would figure he knew what he was doing.
Jake looks good in brown shoes. He also looks good in navy blue suits. I doubt that he puts these together by accident.
