A day in the life - 27 May 2011 and Jake Gyllenhaal

Jake Gyllenhaal had a busy day yesterday. Proving that he takes much more notice of the length of the hair on his head than on his chin, Jake popped down to the salon for a session under the strimmer. I would like to point out here that Mr WDW (who has a buzz head and a buzz beard) is an expert on maintaining length for both head and beard and so could provide Jake with a competitive price should he wish to combine a haircut with the tour of the sites of Oxford (ala Mrs Obama).

Later on, Jake popped over to l'Ermitage for a meeting - or for some luxury. I particularly like the photo below due to the composition of the pinkness...

Jake also made time to put in some hours at the Medical Center. After all, something had to pay for the haircut.

Many thanks to IHJ for the wonderful pictures from Jake's day.

Jake needs to lose weight like I need to have my right leg cut off.

Lose weight?....my opinion-the only "weight" he needs to possibly lose is the few ounces of "scruff" on his face, lol- my Jakeypoo looks great!

Keep your leg, WDW.

Moviefone has an article about box-office success for movies that premiered on Memorial Day. Of the top five, four were sequels. The only non-sequel was "The Day after tomorrow."

"He must lose weight!"

Its his chest, he's seems to have beef it up again to fill out that police officer uniform. At any rate Jake is not fat, the guy is buff. As a matter of fact, a few months ago it look like he needed to gain weight.

Just my opinion.

...lose weight...well, Jake could be sexy also with Santa Claus' belly, but if someone like him (with that body) must lose weight...I need to have my left leg cut off (only to keep company to yours, Kate!!!)
A wonderful sunday to everyone, specially fat people!!

WDW, I hope you keep your leg, but that comment had me rolling on the floor laughing.

But that first picture you posted doesn't do Jake justice. But I blame the sandcolored pants. I bet they are real comfy - after all he has basically worn them straight since the RRT with M&S and they must now fit like a glove.
BUT and that's a big BUT, they are not exactly the best choice to show off that body of his.
I'd like to agree with WLC - his chest seems to be getting really pumped up. I am very looking forward to see Jake in uniform (and bald and shaved...).
Enjoy the sunday, skinny or not!

Good Sunday Morning WDW! I don't think your leg is under any threat, fortunately.

I have to admit that I think I feel a little about Jake the way he seems to feels about the paps at the moment - pissed off & bad tempered - I can't help thinking that whole suing-photo-undies thing is a bad mistake.

I've been avoiding commenting because of it.

However, he must be the only man who can carry off sand coloured trous, like brown cords, should never be worn IMHO!

I grinned widely reading the tag 'Bad Hair' at the end. Very true! At least the hear on his chin, I mean. The hair on his head is fine by me - remembers me of those gorgeous WonderCon photos last year - but I fear that another Sasquatch Era is upon us, noooooooooo!!!

I agree with MrsJG on the weight discussion. Please Jake, drop the sand-coloured pants. There isn't one man on earth who can get away with those, not even you.

Okay now, wait a minute.
I just read Kate's Blogomatic review on Pirates 4 (well done!!!) and it has 1 recent comment:

Prince of Persia was a far more superior film to this rubbish and very worthy of a sequel.

Did one of the GyllenGals write this, perhaps?? :)

Morning all! (just about morning... running late again this morning). Good to see you all and I'm delighted to hear that the consensus is that I don't need to have my leg cut off. That is a relief.

Hi Sweetpea and LillyRoses :)

Hi Paul! I forgot TDAT came out during the holiday weekend (it's our Spring Holiday here) - and that means I saw it six years ago today! Wow. And that's interesting about the sequels - a safe-ish bet for this weekend.

He is indeed buff WLC :)

Have a good weekend, Carlotta!

Must agree, Mrs JG, I am not a fan of these trousers at all, although I bet they are comfy. But I think Jake looks perfect with shape at the moment - except for the top of the head - not enough up there...

Good to see you, TD! I do agree with you - I see no point whatsoever in making a fuss about that silly picture. Not good advice at all. Have a lovely Sunday :)

Hey there Lady Ekster! I loved the Wondercon look, I'm not getting it here, probably because of the juvenile sasquatch. That's so funny about the comment at Blogomatic! I must have a look. Thanks for reading the review there :D

Have a lovely Sunday everyone! Off to see Attack the Block today - I've been coerced...

Kate! Thanks for that fine post. And fresh pictures. Especially third one with a light smile. Good to see him smiling to the paps, maybe they said something funny to him and he couldn't keep it serious.
I also think Jake has buffed chest (not excess weitht), because of new movie.
@MrsJakobGyllenhaal - I actually like very much his sand trousers, they match brown shoes very well. And paraphrasing your line - I'm very much looking forward to see him taking his uniform off :)
His hair - I think he keeps them short for the movie of course, to do not live a shocking haircut again from longer to bald. Do you remember that video before Jarhead - a head shaving session and the look on his face? :)
I have a fifth day of headache. Pity!

Hi Mermon! I do hope you feel better soon. I'm under the weather too so I sympathise.

I just realised it's actually seven years since I saw TDAT at the cinema - blimey...
