Team Jake Gyllenhaal misses out and WDW Cornwall Interlude Day 2!

Hello from the Lizard! The home of the oddest weather on the planet - one minute you're basking in sunshine and warm breezes; the next you're wrapped up in a big jumper, wishing you'd brought your wellies and your own personal foghorn. The good news is I have internet of a sort and so I can do something of a post. This means that I can roll my eyes, shake my head and tut to the high heavens at the totally expected but still irritating news that Jake Gyllenhaal was beaten at the Teen Choice Awards by the Pale One - Robert Pattinson. The completely bewildering part of that was that the PO won for Remember Me which, I believe, was seen by 10 teenagers on three continents. So what team am I? Team Jake!

Nevertheless, Brothers has quite a following and the young star of the Last Airbender, Dev Patel, had this to say: 'I cry a lot but the last time was watching 'Brothers', starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Tobey Maguire. I was on a plane with so many people walking around, but I couldn't help shedding a tear.' I'll take that as a compliment for the movie. If my mascara stays on for the full length of a film, I consider myself shortchanged (bearing in mind that I could weep through Tomb Raider).

Many thanks to IHJ for these glorious new images from Rendition. It's been a while since I had a good look at Douglas Freeman and after looking at these I feel more than ready to see the film again. Never mind the story, nothing divided audiences quite like Jake's hair in this film. I like it. And here are my favourites from the selection.

WDW Interlude - Cornwall Day 2

Thanks very much to everyone for being so kind about the pictures I posted yesterday from the most beautiful Charlestown, Cornwall. So, encouraged!, here are some pictures from the Eden Project, which was very mizzly today. But stunning in the greenhouses (biodomes). My tip is buy your ticket in advance off the net as the queue was incredible - they were even handing out sweets. So worth the long wait, then...

From there it was a long drive through the narrowest of roads with the tallest of hedges to The Lizard. Tomorrow, I'm off to have a look for basking sharks and dolphins - wish me luck!

Includes pictures from IHJ and WDW.
