And this is what we're told: Jake Gyllenhaal was seen running into the office building where Reese Witherspoon was already inside. Both Jake and Reese spent about 45 minutes inside the building before Jake came out. Jake acted a little shy as he ran to his waiting car across the street from the building. He was all smiles inside the car after he realized that he didn't give the paparazzo that many shots. He used his baseball hat to cover his face as he looked the opposite direction. Reese then came out of the building just minutes after Jake. She also walked quickly to her waiting car, which was driven by her friend. To make the situation more interesting, Reese and her friend drove around the block and parked directly in front of the same office building that she and Jake were previously at. Reese waited inside the vehicle until the paparazzo was visibly present in front of her car. As she exited the vehicle, she smiled and said to the paparazzo, 'It's about time.' She was all smiles as she quickly hurried back inside the building. Less then five minutes later she came out, but this time she hid her face from the paparazzo. Reese then put on a hat and sunglasses informing the paparazzo that she no longer wanted to be photographed.
As more and more details come out, remember to keep that pinch of salt close to hand. Is it just me, or is there something just a little bit convenient about these photographs, something a little managed maybe?

Unless they come out with an official statement that they are dating, I still don't believe these rumors of them being a couple.
If they are dating, then yes, this account from the source makes it sound staged. Which doesn't sound like something either Jake or Reese would do. Or I hope they wouldn't do.
So I'm inclined to think that because both are with their assistants and they left in separate cars, it was a meeting regarding their movie. They could've been talking about setting up a magazine photoshoot time for Rendition.

You have said it perfectly - everything about these photos is so convenient and I'll repeat staged as I can't think of a better word for it. This is right in the middle of Beverly Hills - if you want to avoid having your picture taken you don't go there. Especially these two!
If they are dating, they have been so discreet so far that there hasn't been a single photo - why this now? And why there, at a medical center?
Reese looks to be playing with the paps, Jake looks uncomfortable and a bit 'smirky' - look at him run to the car.
I'm not keen on these games, either with Jake and Reese as players or as pawns.

Are any of the day's events related by any chance? (If they are the same day, I'm a bit lost and just popping in). Jake stops to chat to the police after being hassled by the press, and all because he is in the same places as Reese maybe?
I dont see how in the same place = going out and in love. It's still making a story from nothing. I agree with above comments that for all we know it was a meeting to do with the film and nothing more and until there is any obvious sign that they are more than just friends/colleagues I will remain sceptical.

That sounds like a sensible attitude to me. I think - and I haven't checked yet - that these photos were taken yesterday and the police photos the day before. We have had lots of photos of Jake recently and Reese has hardly been in hiding. Now we have this, in N Bedford Drive of all places.
I'm with you, LJF, so far there is little to suggest they're anything more than colleague or friends. I think we're being given a message, it's whether you want to believe it or not.

Maybe paps added that bit in order to make more money.
The more I think about ths, the more choreographed it seems. This is not the place for a romantic assignation - it's a medical center. Everything about it, and the behaviour of both Jake and Reese, cries out orchestrated to me.

I find it odd that people seem to be so threatened by the idea of a Jake/Reese hookup that they'll grasp at any invention to dismiss even the idea of it.
The paps are making the whole story up. It's probably not even the same day. It must be for the film!
Whether they are together or not, maybe they just each had an appointment, then decided to have some fun with the paps when they saw them there.
If they were going to stage something, I really don't think this would be the place or the way they'd do it.
I don't know this for a fact, but I think this visit to the Medical Center happened the day after the Police Station incident. Anyway, I am quite familiar with this area of N. Bedford Drive as you know, WDW. And I have seen several pictures in magazines such as PEOPLE and Us of Reese coming out of this building long before the rumors of her and Jake. There have been other celebrity sitings there, also. I think it is a place where a lot of them go because they feel their personal business will remain confidential and they don't have to deal with a bunch of star struck staff.
We know Jake is there way more than a healthy looking guy should be seeing a doctor. So the Yoga Class possibility from the previous entry sounds as good as any explanation.
That said, I don't think Jake and Reese were meeting there for any reason. They may have seen each other there and knew what was going to be made of it, hence the little playing around they did. But the paps still didn't get THE SHOT!
OK. FWIW,here's my $.02: They had an appointment in the bldg. It's an office bldg.We don't know if they were there for medical purposes and I'm not jumping to that conclusion...yet. I think they got their signals crossed.Maybe he hoped to slip in and out unnoticed while she and her girl friend were distracting the paps, but they got their signals mixed up and they were both seen. But he was in a grey car with his blonde assistant and they weren't taking pictures together. I think the cars being the same color is deliberate. I also think Jake's having his assistant so visible, picking him up at the airport, etc. is deliberate attempt to muddy the waters and throw people off. I think they might just be a couple. I wasn't at all convinced at first. But I'm getting there.

As for Reese, well not having yet seen the film I don’t know if Reese had any shooting locations which could potentially expose her to the same Toad. As I understood things the pair have very few or no scenes together in this movie.
If that is the case, given the efforts that Paramount and Warner Bros have put into the marketing, this very well managed “romance” could but a bit of gutter level marketing.
OK.I'm gonna give my final (yeah, right! Wanna buy a bridge???LOL!)) pronouncent on this situation. A while ago on another fansite, I had a theory. I still think works. First, Jake and Reese are very possibly hangin' out together. Maybe casual dating once in a while, maybe FWB. Fine. Time will tell. But I do not think this is a marketing/publicity ploy attached to Rendition. Not at all. My theory, the one I proposed on another site, was that I think people close to Ryan leaked out the info. about J&R seeing each other. People seem to overlook Ryan in this equation.I think Ryan's people are trying to make J&R more than it is. If you notice,lately there are pictures of Ryan with his kids. At first, after the split, there were a lot of pics of Ryan hanging out at clubs, drinking, partying and all these alleged hook-ups. Those "went away." Now there are at least weekly pictures of Ryan with Ava and/or Deacon. Taking the kids to work with him, taking them for their riding lessons, taking them to the park, to get carry out, to shop, picking them up/dropping the off at school. A model father. With Reese, all you see/hear about is Jake. Even tho, last week she was pictured coming out of church, she was alone. No kids. I think if there is any marketing going on, it is to salvage and clean up Ryan's image, by people close to him. After all, he cheated on "America's Sweetheart." If Jake and Reese are really going to couple up, all the evasive tactics will become tiresome and we will see them together soon enough. Nothing wrong with wanting your personal life to be private.

Final opinion? Feel free to come back and post as many as you like - I like to hear them! I've not heard this one before, that maybe Ryan is involved. I certainly agree with your sentiment that there should be nothing wrong with keeping your personal life private. I should think that Jake and Reese agree with that entirely.
