[Update] Jake, Reese, Ava and Deacon's Saturday, Saturday, Saturday, Saturday... Night with Elton John

Last night, twitters were tweeting that Jake Gyllenhaal, along with Reese and her son Deacon, were spotted in the audience at the Billy Joel and Elton John show at Citizens Bank Park, Philly. The Insider this morning suggests that Elton John may have given Reese one of those 'why won't the earth open up and let me fall into it?' moments. Perhaps understandably, Jake and Reese left during Elton's set. Time to play Spot the Jake!

Update: Thanks to a new picture we can also see Ava was there for the show. Jake seems to be giving Deacon a better look at the cost of being able to see anything himself - loosen up, Deacon! (and many apologies to the people in the row behind...)

Last week, Penelope Cruz' new film premiered in a setting that Penelope described as 'the most beautiful place I've been for a premiere'. Viewers, including Maggie Gyllenhaal, filled the courtyard of London's stunning Somerset House to enjoy an outside premiere of Broken Embraces. Fortunately, the weather held off.

I was in Kensington myself yesterday for a spot of retail and wine therapy with Anouska and Ruby, hence some off-topic photos...

Jake's back - and he's got Reese with him!

Jake's been gone from public view for over a month and I'm sure I'm not the only one who's missed him. Well, our wait is at an end and, after all these months, the latest, much longed for picture of Jake is also, rather ironically, that never before achieved photo of Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon together. This time they're actually in the same car and, in my opinion, that's a relief. This post has now been edited to add more photos, courtesy of IHeartJake - and it is good to see Jake and Reese smiling and sharing a joke (click and they shall be bigger). The observant ones at DC have pointed out that these pictures are from two separate occasions - different cars. Well spotted!






On Monday, according to TMZ, Reese picked Jake up from his Hollywood house and then drove them both to her Brentwood home. So glad to see you Jake! You're looking good!

Reese - but no Jake - on the set of Rendition

I'm afraid that Jake Gyllenhaal is nowhere to be seen, but I wanted to post some of these 'new' pictures from Rendition, which show Reese Witherspoon in the latter stages of pregnancy kicking a ball around, as well as an image of Reese from the movie carrying the baby. The film is only three months away now, the trailer has been seen at special closed previews - the chances are that, if you go and see a Rated movie in the next few weeks, you may be treated to the trailer yourself! I hope that it isn't just a wishful dream that it won't be long before pictures of Jake on set are also released.

Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon photographed separately again

On 30 May Jake Gyllenhaal visited a friend's house in LA, after which he and Reese Witherspoon left in separate cars, with Reese following Jake back to her house in Brentwood. That's what we're told and yet again the 'evidence' comprises photographs of Jake on his own, a shot of Reese through the window of a car, and a picture of two cars driving down the street - although handily these cars have been labelled 'Jake' and 'Reese', just so we can recognise 'proof' when we're given it.

Considering the number of paps who must be following Jake and Reese around LA and who, no doubt, had time to gather outside this friend's house yesterday, I've got to say 'Is this the best you can do?' When their sole mission is to supply the tabloids with that one picture, and with all that state-of-the-art equipment at their disposal - not to mention the humble phone camera - I'd expect more (as would the editors, I'd imagine). Of course, if there's nothing to photograph... The game continues.

Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon - and there's more

Do you ever get the feeling that you're caught up in the middle of some big game and you feel like you've not be made privy to all of the clues for how to play? More pictures have emerged of Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon visiting a medical center in Beverly Hills.



And this is what we're told: Jake Gyllenhaal was seen running into the office building where Reese Witherspoon was already inside. Both Jake and Reese spent about 45 minutes inside the building before Jake came out. Jake acted a little shy as he ran to his waiting car across the street from the building. He was all smiles inside the car after he realized that he didn't give the paparazzo that many shots. He used his baseball hat to cover his face as he looked the opposite direction. Reese then came out of the building just minutes after Jake. She also walked quickly to her waiting car, which was driven by her friend. To make the situation more interesting, Reese and her friend drove around the block and parked directly in front of the same office building that she and Jake were previously at. Reese waited inside the vehicle until the paparazzo was visibly present in front of her car. As she exited the vehicle, she smiled and said to the paparazzo, 'It's about time.' She was all smiles as she quickly hurried back inside the building. Less then five minutes later she came out, but this time she hid her face from the paparazzo. Reese then put on a hat and sunglasses informing the paparazzo that she no longer wanted to be photographed.

As more and more details come out, remember to keep that pinch of salt close to hand. Is it just me, or is there something just a little bit convenient about these photographs, something a little managed maybe?

Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon - is this the evidence?

On 8 May Jake Gyllenhaal was spotted 'dashing out of an office building' in Beverly Hills. Nothing unusual there. But moments later who should also dash out but Reese Witherspoon? I have tried to stay away from any Jake/Reese speculation - the tabloids do it so much better - but two photos emerged today that have made me take a little step back. There is no photo of Jake and Reese together but instead here we have photographs of Jake and Reese in what is obviously the same street at what may well be within a few moments of each other. The closest there is so far in other words.




According to the source, Jake and Reese avoided being photographed together and left in separate cars but 'Reese was all smiles and it was kind of like she wanted to give us this shot.'

But is this what it seems? I know where these photos were taken and it is not somewhere that I would associate with a romantic meeting. So maybe all is not quite as it appears.

The media is desperate for a photo of Jake and Reese together. And here we see the power of the media as you ask yourself 'What do these photographs mean?' What do you think they mean?
