Jake is clearly listening - not only is the cardigan gone, but just look at that face. The scruff is in the past and the beauty is revealed. These photographs were taken yesterday, on Friday 15 June, with mother and son continuing to enjoy their time together in New York.

Ah, yes. Beardless is much better -- why hide such a beautiful and wondrously expressive face? Thanks for these, WDW -- gorgeous. And we even get the tongue!
Finally! I didn't like that beard at all!
Hey Beckela and 11.11!
I know I like scruffy Jake, but these pictures are so great, aren't they. I love the shirt, shorts and Nike and now the face can be seen, tongue and all!
Thanks for commenting :D
Oh yes, off topic but I'm listening to Rufus' Release the Stars album - I'm hooked! Beautiful, heartfelt and soulful. Perfect Jaking music!
That's what's so nice about the scruff - when he shaves and reveals that face, it's like unwrapping a beautiful present! :)
Hi Marina - I love that image - shaving as an act of unwrapping a beautiful present!
I wonder if Naomi told him to shave...
I wonder if she did too! :)
I like what you said Marina, also. I love the scruff, but I always get weak in the knees when I see his clean beautiful face.
Doesn't seem like it takes long to clean up when Mommy is around. But that's a typical mother. And he's a good son if he does it to please her.
He is one gorgeous boy without the yucky whiskers...sigh! I have to disagree with you though WDW..I love the cardigan..he is probably not wearing it, because of the warmer temps...BUT...why is Naomi walking behind Jakey? LOL!! Thanks again for all your lovely current postings..Michele
Hi Dani and Michele
I'm sure Naomi told him to get rid of the whiskers and 'while you're about it, dump the cardigan!'. I'm sorry Michele, I can see nothing good in that cardie - except for who is in that cardie of course.
Maybe Naomi's walking behind Jake to check whether he needs a haircut as well...
Beauty revealed indeed. WDW, what a perfect description of a clean shaven Jake..... and he's given us the added bonus of the Tongue!
I've said it before, I'll say it again..... his style is perfect (IMHO). I love the way he dresses.... casual or formal or in between. Plus, I've always been a sucker for men's forearms, shown off with rolled up sleeves. So sexy, it makes me light headed. And Jake's arms are, well..... I think we all can fill in our own adjectives!
I like what Marina said about unwrapping a beautiful gift.
Yes, it takes you by surprise and that's the delight of it! But perhaps that precious face should be mostly concealed by a protective covering! It wouldn't do if all of us were weak in the knees all the time.
I for one, am a great fan of scruffy Jake, though not of such a luxuriant beard.
As for the hair, it's just perfect.
Cardigan is nice and dorky, that's one more side of Jake and I love it.
It's amazing how many "looks" suit Jake and the pity is we can't have them all together.
Hey Birdie - whatever Jake wears it seems to me that it shows something off to perfection - but yes, those arms are something else! Maybe you should sit down...
Hi Incognita - I love the idea that Jake should cover his face at times to protect our health!
All these different Jakes!
Thanks for commenting :D
It's his Mum. It happened last year, too. Jake gets all Gyllenwolf, even to the longish hair, and then he is seen walking down the streets of NYC, (with Jamie Lee and Naomi) or hanging out on the beach at Martha's Vineyard (with Naomi) and viola'! Haircut, shave. LOL!!! I think she's OK with light scruff, but she definitely likes shorter hair (not Jarhead, but shortish) and the Gyllenwolf is not a Naomi favorite. (She said as much the last time we had lunch together! LOLOL!!! NOT!)
Hi Bobbyanna! Well the next time you have lunch with Naomi, can you tell her that I fully approve of her efforts to keep the Gyllenwolf at bay.
I like a bit of scruff but I do like the end results when Naomi's finishd with him. I agree, there is a tendency for Jake to scrub up when he's sending time with his mum! Such a good boy and I appreciate it, thanks Naomi!
