Jake Gyllenhaal in glorious Cannes technicolour - Photoshoot video

What with all the excitement of recent New York City days, Cannes feels like a world away and it probably is. But forgotten it is not. We've all seen and enjoyed the pictures of Jake at the Zodiac photoshoot in Cannes, but now sit back, kick off your shoes, get out the French plonk and enjoy the photoshoot in nine minutes of glorious video.

Now you can see how slightly bewildered and embarrassed Jake looks when out there on his own, faced by 360 degrees of cameras. Any lipreaders out there? And see the support Jake and Mark Ruffalo provide for each other. Not only that, you can see that Jake has a bodyguard for his sunglasses. I love Chloe, but I can't help wondering about that skirt... I want to thank a friend at DC for uncovering this treasure which brings back some very happy memories.

Back in New York City another fan photo has emerged from Jake's appearance on stage with Rufus Wainwright last Friday night. Fuzzy it might be, but who cares? What a night. Who can be expected to hold a camera steady in such circumstances - it's a miracle the photographer stayed upright. There are still hopes of a video. One thing's for sure, Gyllenhaalics are buying Rufus' new album Release the Stars in their droves.

How do you do it, WDW? Make everyday feel like Christmas when I come here. I never know what will be under the tree. This video is great! And you are right in saying that Cannes will never be forgotten. Nothing Jake does ever will. Everything he has done holds continued importance. It must be amazing and surreal to be a celebrity, knowing that photoshoots are part of the package. But it must be odd when they are standing on the outside looking at their lives that so many people are actually interested in them. You can certainly see the bit of shyness as Jake steps out into the arena of cameras. Of course he is magnificent as ever, but also relieved when his moment is up.

As for Chloe's skirt.I don't particularly care for it. I think it would have been much more chic if it was a little longer, say a few inches above the knee and not so full..... I have no complaint's about Jake!

Thanks for the additional photo from the concert the other night. We will take anything and everything we can get. Love to see Jake tapping into his inner ROCK STAR! He looks right at home on stage......Where is that Musical script that surely some savvy person has out there!

Hi Dani,

I thought the same things you did when I opened the webpage! WDW is fast becoming one of my favorite Jake sites, because I love that there's always a nice surprise when I come here, and it's not gossip-oriented, and it's respectful. :) And Jake's inner rock star/musician, I wish we'd get to see that more often! I loved all of the Cannes coverages, so I'm downloading the Cannes video as we speak. :)

Dani my friend - thank you for that kind comment. Always glad to oblige with Jake Gifts.

I love this video - time to sit and watch Jake and see what it's like in that world, not everyday, just occasionally.

Jake really does look the part of a Rock Star, how I'd love to see him sing.

Hi Marina! - Thanks so much for that. I'm glad you find the site respectful, that's important to me.

I'm so happy you liked the Cannes coverage - a very special time for me and all the better for being able to share it here.

Hi Marina. Isn't this the best place to come to everyday! I don't even care if WDW leaves a post up for a few days. Because so much heart and soul is put into each and every one. There is nothing but respect here as you say. And I certainly appreciate that there is no malicious gossip. Just love for Jake!

and I still haven't recovered from the Rufus concert pics. Just cannot get over what a ham Jake is..... that boy surely does love an audience!

I can't thank you enough, all of you, for all your generous words Believe me, it's a pleasure. But it wouldn't be worth it without all of you.

And maybe Jake has been listening to our entreaties for him to take to the boards!
