More pictures of Jake Gyllenhaal on set in Morocco - just watch the hair

With huge thanks to Stephanie at IHJ, we have more pictures of Jake Gyllenhaal (with Reese) on the set of Prince of Persia - more opportunities to re-examine those muscles, that hair, those trousers and boots, that belt - heaven help me. Medieval Persia never looked like this in the history books, of that I'm sure. 21 months to go - but who's counting...?

A big thanks to IHJ, where you can see lots more.

Hello everybody!!!

More pictures of Jake Gyllenhaal on set in Morocco - just watch the hair

Hair? I was kind of distracted by the CHEST!!!

Please, please don't hate me. I love Jake dearly but I do not like the way he looks with so much muscle. He looks even "bigger" than in Jarhead! Maybe it's just the pictures. I don't know.

Anonymous said...

I agree Sara, it's too buffed and a bit over the top, I think. And the hair... can I send them my hairdresser? She does way better hair extensions!

I love the biceps though :)

I agree, it's quite possible that Disney gets these out to test water, see reaction. And then go back to wardrobe and costume and work on it some more.

I think they have to remember - Jake is naturally handsome, you really don't have to fuss over or over-doing it.

paulh said...

I think Jake looks exactly right, everywhere below the neck. They can fix the hair, and Jake has a zillion facial expressions to choose from. If necessary, they can tweak everything in CGI after the filming stops.

I think these latest pictures represent a stage somewhere between Jake and the Prince. The destination is not in doubt, Jake and Disney will see to that. p-)

Anonymous said...

I thought he might look better sidewise, but no! the lean abdomen is compromised, in my view, and he looks hot heavy hairy and smelly.

Ive been reviewing beautiful Jarhead pictures, and this new look is quite diff'rent. I would not have recognized the bod.

Anonymous said...

Yeah still in shock over this. The reaction around has been rough but my hope is that this was an inbetween stage, plus he was being Jake here not Daston. If you know what I mean. The hair can be fixed, hopefully smoothed out. The body is way buff but hopefully will look right onscreen. From what some have said he does really look like the Prince from the video game. I have not played it but do those who have here agree at all? Overall, I agree with Paul's comments.

Anonymous said...

Thank God, I thought something was wrong with me. I didn't quite like the pictures, but yesterday everybody was going ga-ga over them, so I decided to shut up. I like him lean and graceful. I can't help it.

I'm going to wait and see.

Anonymous said...

thanks you zodiac I was feeling also I should keep my lip zipped. the picture on my fridge is the sidewise picture of Jake lookin' out from over his arm is my idea of exquisite along with Vanity Fair photo and "pia" tattoos on biceps in both pictures. my world is kinda wobbly at the moment. I think I'll be okay tomorrow. maybe. maybe not.

in the meantime there is Michael Phelps.

Anonymous said...

Good God Ya'll He is preparing for an action movie. look at the trailers for Prince of Persia game. He is wrapped in scarves. I only hope they don't put that scar {I think I see} on Jake's gorgeous face. But let's wait until the movie progresses to make unkind comments. It's just begun. Sorry, I for one cannot wait until this movie comes out.

Anonymous said...

Sorry people, but he looks absolutely perfect for the role. This is how the prince looks like in the video games. And you do work really hard to get into such great shape. So it's "mission accomplished" in the looks-department. Well, the naysayers of course should watch the waxed (and lean ;-)) kiddies over at the Olympics instead.

BTW, great blog WDW!

Anonymous said...

I think there's some disharmony in these pictures because Jake is the only one dressed in his prince outfit. There're the cars - so somehow Jake doesn't fit into the surroundings. Having him surrounded with others dressed in their costumes would give us other thoughts because we would dive into the past with them. Then he would fit into everything perfectly.
It always look strange seeing actors in costumes from the past when shooting movies and you think that it just look strange.

I hope they won't show the soles of his boots in the movie because they just doesn't fit into 9th century. :o)

Hey, that's not fair! I love Jakey. In whatever shape he comes. I know he's worked really hard to get into shape and I know what the real Prince looks like, I've been playin this game for months now. But I still don't like these pictures that much. And I still like him lean.

Okay I defer to the gamers, with apologies! No more comments, and yeah, Im sure these guys know exactly what they're doing. And Jake always delivers!

Hi there everyone! Just got back from an afternoon out watching Mummy 3 - now there's a film that should never have been made - but my heart beats a little for Brendan :D

First off - please, please feel free to post what you really think about this look, whichever way. I know some people are trying to come to terms with it, some hate it and others love it. Some people like me, find their hormones drawn irresistibly to it, but still wouldn't mind something a little less Rambo-ish. Although I've always loved the fuller figure Jake (more to cuddle), I do think this is a bit too much for me but I have more concerns about that terrible hair than I do about Jake's torso :)

But, yes, like Paul says, I doubt this is the finished 'product' and I also think they'll do something with that hair. I also know I've rarely liked Jake's looks in any of his films but that hasn't mattered to me too much.

But we do have to think about the character - and this is an all-action, leaping, fighting, agile hero and he doesn't want to look like he'll blow over in a breeze.

I do want to see more of Jake's beautiful face - and I do want to see that body in action. Am I talking too much? Yep!

So Sara! Good to see you and no problem! Jake does look huge - mind you I don't think it helps having little Reese next to him!

Hi Winterbird :D I love the biceps too - I love Jake's arms. I would have thought the costume is a bit of a work in progress.

Hey Paul! I liked what Dinnsey did with Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom and there'll have an easy task with someone with Jake's beauty.

Hi Zodiac! I'm glad you came back to comment today. I feel like we're in a therapy group working through Jake's new look!

(((Pia))) I couldn't stand Jake's hair in Jarhead but he was still the same old Jake to me. Jake does such different roles and the way that actors have to bend their bodies for the characters they play is amazing and can't be easy. I loved him in Paris and for me this is Paris with the shirt off. No no no Michael Phelps! He's a good swimmer (er understatement, I realise) but he's very unfanciable... too unhairy :D

Hi Gail! It is very true that the Prince of the games does not look like Jake here - there is all sorts of body armour and yes the scarves - I love those. The marks on Jake here suggest to me that he's taken some items off. You're not alone in not being able to wait until this comes out!

Thanks anon! Oh, that waxed look just does nothing for me either! I like Jake big and with that hairy chest :D I do think Jake will completely look the part, once he is wearing the rest of his costume and he is placed in context.

I've talked so much, I've built up a thirst :D

Anonymous said...

I love his body, the pants look good on him too. I don't like the hair, it's too long. I don't think it suits him.
Reese, as always, looks like her happy, nice self. ;)

Thanks for the update WDW. I'm looking forward to see the film. I think it's gonna be a fun movie. :)

Uli said...

Hi everyone,it's weird, I agree with you who like him better a bit (or a lot, LOL) more lean (my favourites are the pics where Dustin Hofmann pulls Jake's shirt over his head...), but still somehow I go THUD at these pics. Maybe because he is sweaty and dirty? *grins* Or maybe it is because I think it will be perfect like that for the role? I really don't know, I think it is borderline to being too much, but for the Prince it will work.
But I definitely like the pants and the belts, though... ;)
Now, the hair... Something went wrong there! I really loved Jake with long hair, like we saw it in the pics where he was himself. But in these pics now it looks so stiff... It doesn't seem to fall natural.
And T. might be right that it looks a bit strange because he just doesn't fit in with his surroundings in this costume, LOL!
Anyway, I hope we get to see more pics - maybe even with his hair blowing in the wind, not stiff like here...

Hugs all around!!

My comment took so long to write, I missed some of you.

Hey there T :D I would love to see Jake in his princely context, with the scenery and other characters, with a sword in one hand and a fainting princess in the other.

Zodiac, don't pout in the corner! I want to hear what you think. You play the game (as do I) and I want to hear your opinion.

Pia - don't stop commenting :) We have different opinions and there's nothing up with that. And I'm a gamer too :D

Regardless of what Jake looks like, we all love him. Reminds me of what the fans of Matt Damon must have put up with when he put on all that weight for a movie :)

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hi Sandy! I love those trousers, I really do, and I'm having a lot of trouble tearing my eyes away from those belts - why three of 'em? But I like the look :D

Good to see you Uli! Like you, I just can't help it - these pics made me miss a heartbeat and I dreamt of the prince last night :P I do want to him Jake talking. And yes, with the hair moving like it's not made of straw. Big hug to you!

Is it too early for a glass of red? I am on holiday today...

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Can I just say again - I love those belts :P

Mr Amazon just delivered my Kinsey :D

Anonymous said...

I volunteer to take the "Prince" to Greece with me and sort out all the costume and hair problem for him :)

I promise I'll return him with better hair, a even better body and some even less clothes...

Sounds like a plan?

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Good plan Winterbird! So long as you don't wear him out. But I do think he should fit in a visit to Oxford to do soem research in our museums and libraries about medieval Persia :D

Anonymous said...

*dreamily eyes* His muscles looks to be bigger than in the movie Jarhead, if I am not mistaken... *drools*

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hi there dreamy Dailing - not drooling all over the blog I hope :D I must find tissues!

paulh said...

Aother thought: we are mostly not accustomed to seeing Jake play action heroes. He's played a cartoonist, a math geek, a stony-faced CIA operative, a shepherd, etc., but not the kind of character who would swing from the rafters, get into swordfights, and go galloping across the desert sands. Even as a marine in "Jarhead," Jake was in a great many scenes that were quiet, because technology did all the fighting in Desert Storm. The Santa Dance does not count as fighting. ;-)

So, this is a fairly new element for Jake to fit into, and it will take time for us to get used to it, and for Jake to perfect it...

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Couldn't agree more, Paul :) We ay well have grown accustomed to the hero who stays quiet or the hero forced into inaction through no choice of his own - such as Swoff. Here we have a hero who will be in the thick of it from befoe the opening credits and it is good to remember, as you say Paul, that this is new to Jake too. A lot of people are waiting to see what Jerry, Mike and Jake make of this project.

Anonymous said...

Lord knows, I think he's the most beautiful man on the planet - but I'm just not loving this look either. I didn't want to say anything and offend, but I do think these are possibly "test the waters" photos, so everything I say I hope is contstructive, cuz I'm no supermodel either! ;)

I don't think the costume is flattering, style or colors, (the belt I like) and neither is the hair, which I loved when I first saw it, and it looked great in the Paris pics. It's all just too much of a good thing, really. He's beautiful - just look at BBM, Jarhead and Rendition bods for proof of that. No need to tamper with perfection.

I like him lean and graceful. I can't help it.

I'm going to wait and see.

Me too, Zodiac. :)

I imagined him light on his feet for parkour, he looks more like a gladiator now.

Ruby said...

I imagined him light on his feet for parkour, he looks more like a gladiator now.

I totally agree. I was expecting a more lithe Prince.

I'm in the 'not liking it much' camp at the moment. :)

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hi Anon! That made me laugh, the supermodel comment, but I suppose as Jake is the man of my/our? dreams, we know how we want every single little bit of his body! Poor Jake! But it's his fault because it's all because he's so beautiful. And yes, definitely more of the gladiator about him - that's a good analogy.

Can I just say again - I love that belt.... :P

If I can get the Olympics and Phelps off my TV, I'm hoping to settle down with Kinsey and some dark chocolate and a GnT :D I wish you all could join me and bring some nibbles :D

Ruby said...

And I wish I hadn't thrown away my flippin' scissors. :(

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hi Rubes! Posting at the same time as me :D Jake could still be lithe, he's certainly strong, gladiators could be lithe... They culd also deliver a hefty thump, that's true. I need to hear Jake as the prince speak.

Wet Dark and Wild said...

And I wish I hadn't thrown away my flippin' scissors. :(

I hid 'em, but a wig is fair game, so you can have them back. But you can't touch a real Jake hair :D

Sara Andrea Vera said...

Hello!!

I love his body, the pants look good on him too.

The pants i don't have a problem with.

The Santa Dance does not count as fighting.

Mmmmm... I'm quite fond of that scene I must say ,OP

Hugs,

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hi Sara :D Yep, you'll not hear a word out of me against the trousers and the belts and that middle section :P

Ahh, if only PoP would have a scene to rival the Santa hat dance...

sheba said...

OMGosh, what are you trying to do to me Kate? I've been thinking about these pics all day at work but now have some more time off for
1. sleep, 2. Jaking, 3. Olympics.

I love this post and all you fun people who are loving/hating/not sure of the new look. But Pia I'm gonna call you on this LOL moment for me: the lean abdomen is compromised, in my view, and he looks hot heavy hairy and smelly.

What is this smell-a-cybervision?? Hehehe.

I get your point of view though. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder ;D

Winterbird, please kidnap him and go to Greece to fix the hair *whispers* let me know the location though so I can occassionally relieve you of your duties *knowing wink*

Hey Uli, lovely to see you here. I'm loving the belt too ;D

This is just what's needed here, keep the fun comments coming.

Sara Andrea Vera said...

Hello WDW!!

Ahh, if only PoP would have a scene to rival the Santa hat dance...

OMG! That movie I would go to see over and over. I would probably live at the theater!!! I'm still mad for not being able to see Jarhead on the big screen... OMG! What a vision it must have been :-O

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hey Sheba! Shouldn't you be asleep or something!

I have watched so many types of sports today, some more exciting than others. Back at work tomorrow though... :(

I must say that I'm enjoying the discussion about 'the look' - I'd love to know more about the Disney thinking behind the costumes etc. Hopefully the DVD will contain all that information - along with all the deleted scenes, blooper reel etc etc.

So good to see you Sheba and don't stay up til 4am tonight :D

Hey Sara :) - they didn't show Jarhead at the cinema near me either. I was able to buy it on DVD from the US to tide me over until BBM came out on DVD. Over two years ago now, who'd believe it?

I've utting Kinsey on, I'm ready for nekkid Peter...

And can I just say, I love the belts.... :P

Wet Dark and Wild said...

PS Is it a blooper reel or a bleeper reel?

sheba said...

Got the rest of the week for sleep and Jaking so I'm cool - thanks Kate. PS Is it a blooper reel or a bleeper reel? It's bloopers - outtakes. I want the bleepers too - when Jake turns the air BLUE! I'm sure if David O Russell get our baby out there'll be plenty of bleepers :DDD

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Thanks Sheba - I'm always getting my vowels muddled up. I'm glad you can have a good break. Sadly back at work for me tomorrow :(

OMG Pia - I now have an image of Jake in a tub with you scrubbing his back... Can I help?

Peter is still fully clothed. I've been distracted by the Olympics but Kinsey's going on now!

Me like!

It's not as good as the Jarhead look/body/hair (doubt anythign will ever be) but for a period persian Prince look it works fine for me.

Wish he'd bring the whole package back to the UK for filming tho.....

Ruby said...

soon LJF, soon. You can hold him down, I'll cut out the extensions.

Funny, I liked them in Paris, but now I think they make him look like a medieval thug. :D

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hey there LJF! I can see you likig this look - very Jarheaddy - but the wig for me is as bad as the no hair! Soon be back in England :)

Hi Rubes - if anyone is holding down Jake please remember that's my job. I really really loved the Paris look too but I think here they've stuck a wig on his head. I hope we hear all about it in a future Jake TV interview :D

Anonymous said...

Pardon my ignorance but when is PoP supposed to be set? Before shampoo for sure!!

I prefer this hair to Rendition hair! It looks right for the character and period I guess.

Hey ruby and wdw. Miss you two hope to catch up soon. (Plenty of midweek football coming up if you can skive a tues or weds off work, I can too and have a day in London before the game....?)

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hi LJF! Definitely before shampoo! That sounds like an excellent plan - is it really the football season again, already?? Blimey :D

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Meant to say that I got my audio book of BBM today so if anyone sees me sobbing over a desk tomorrow, just walk by and smile :)

Anonymous said...

I have real mixed feelings. On one hand I think he is way too muscular. I hoped for lithe, too, especially since he has the physicality to deal with.(Parkour.)

But then,if I picked my all time favorite Jake movies, BBM, DD and Jarhead are tied for first place, with Rendition a very close second. And yet, his Jarhead look was my least favorite look. Yet I think he was amazing and should have probably got an Oscar nomination for it.

Now. When I think of Jake, himself, and how he looks, I have to say that my favorite Jake looks are Douglas Freeman. Hall of Fame. Gold Star! Then Harold Dobbs and Robert Graysmith. But i think that's bcz they are closest to how Jake, the person actually looks.

So I agree that since this picture of Jake is "out of context" I will reserve my opinion until I see the movie. I remember when I saw Jake promoting Zodiac and he had that longer hair for his role in Rendition, which he was then filming and I was, EWWW! Not crazy about the hair. But then I saw Rendition, which I LOVE, and he was drop dead sexy. He was OMG! sexy. So there it is.

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Thanks so much for that comment, Anon :) I know when I saw Jarhead I was just shocked by that hair and I never liked that look (although I liked the muscles :D) but that's never stopped me watching what is an amazing film and performance. Similarly, I love Donnie Darko but it wasn't until TDAT that I started appreciating him in other ways! So Jake's looks in a film don't dictate whether I watch them or not.

Oh I loved Douglas Freeman! What a look for Jake. But I never thought I would go for the Robert Graysmith look on Jake and yet Zodiac is quite possibly my favourite of all Jake's films.

I want to wait and see for the scenes of Jake the Prince in context too. I do know, however, that these pictures made my heart beat faster so I'm not too worried :D

Thanks for that great comment :D

I'm thoroughly enjoying Kinsey!

Anonymous said...

Shan't interrupt your Kinsey then WDW and I'm really glad you're seeing it at last :D

I have huge reservations about this look (understatement) but I reckon the persona will keep me watching - I'll be the woman who saw PoP for the persona :) I think it's a world away from the Jarhead look, which I liked :D

Anonymous said...

Quick hi and hug to LJF *

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hi there Nouskie :D Chuckling away at someone going to see PoP for the persona! I think I need to see PoP right now :)

Why oh why did I never see Kinsey sooner? - Peter is so HOT in it! And the story's not bad either...

Anonymous said...

I missed all those across the pond, but just wanted to say thank you all for this entertaining discussion. We may not all agree on the look but I love that we can have a lively debate. ;) I love this place. :')

As I said earlier still in shock but the pics make makes me *thud* while I debate how I really feel, LOL. I am keeping faith that it will all look amazing in the finished movie.

xoxoxo

That's so cool - I feel just the same - the pics take my breath away even though my head is still debating whether I like the look or not. I reckon it'll be all good :)

Have a good evening xx

Hello WDW & all,
I echo those comments who expressed a few doubts about Jake's hair and Rambo-ish look on these pics...
I agree with WDW that the hair (or lack of it!) in Jarhead wasn't flattering at all, although Jake's body in that film was muscular & well-built yes, but still looked natural and even graceful, I'd say...
In these pics from the PoP set I can see a gorgeous chest (and hair!) and arms, but I'm still not sure at how "harmonious" the whole body looks. But that's perhaps because it's still "work in progress"...
I do like the belt though, and the jewellery he's wearing...

Hugs all around,
Paola

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hi Paola! Jake was so graceful and agile in Jarhead - he seemed so happy in his body. I really love the PoP jewellery and belts - I love Jake in accessories :D

Yay...glad I caught you, WDW. :D

Thank you for allowing us all this wonderful place to Jake.

So glad you like Kinsey. It is a fantastic movie. Peter and Liam and the whole cast are brilliant. I have a thing for Liam too.

Have so been caught up in the Olympics. Michael Phelps is just astonishing and the relay with him and the US team was amazing. Not to mention you Brits in the water, gymnastics a huge fave too, etc, etc. Very exciting.

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Get Real - I'm just so happy you come here :D

Kinsey is over now - just amazing - I still think there is noone in the movies with a voice as sexy as Peter's. I could just listen to him all day. And he's so gorgeous in this. I enjoyed Liam and Laura too. I'm really glad I saw it - but what a world!

I've not seen all the swimming yet - the time difference is just no good at all for here. I've not seen the swimming relay. I'm so glad our girl got her medal - first one in nearly 50 years. Amazing. We don't get many so we love em when they come along. I love the gymnastics - wish I'd caught more of that too. I just seem to catch the two minute round ups. At least in 2012 the time gap shouldn't be much of a trouble ;D

I think he looks great. The chest, chest hair, belts, pants ......;) I really do like his new buffed bod. I like that he looks more like a man instead of a "young" man. I really don't think it is too much muscle, for me at least! I hope you don't find this offensive, but, I'd climb that tree trunk anytime!:DD *thinking, did i say that out loud?* (excuse me for the moment)

*clearing throat* and almost *panting* for more pics. Sorry WDW and everyone.:)))

I almost literally fell off of my chair when I saw these pics! I've been grinning ear to ear for hours now.

However, I am too not liking the hair too much. (on head):) Not about the length, but how authentic it should look. Maybe transition stage and that is okay or it may look better on screen. Who knows until we see the final project.

I have become excited about this film because it is so different from Jake's other ones. I think he will put his full effort towards it, as shown already in the past and now with the pics.

I also love how his "zillion facial expressions" - pauhl- can help us relate to his characters thoughts and feelings at the time.:)

WDW, thank you so much for this site. It is such a positive site to relate and discuss one of our favorite actors. I've actually been visiting here for more than a year and appreciate the class, information, positivity, love, caring that each one extends to another with realizing and accepting each others difference in each other's opinion for the love of our Jake. I hope to become a part of an extended family of sorts.

Thank You, Thank You so much!!

Good morning everyone! Back in the office but how good to come here and see the pics - been showing them around the office to general approval :D

Morning Sass! I can guess now why I was always such a fan of the PoP games, must have subconsciously reminded me of Jake!

Welcome Viv!! So good to meet you here and thanks very much for commenting. I am really pleased that you like the site and find it a positive happy place to enjoy Jake :D

It really is like our Jake grew up - ahem, I sympathise with the drooling and fainting, it's going to be a bit of a regular side effect of PoP I fear...

I'm very excited to see Jake in a whole new type of film too and I wonder what it's like for him. A whole new scale of movie making and I hope he's having fun too, although I can't imagine he likes the hair anymore than us!

I am so glad to see you - do come back!

Have a good day everyone!

Aw, love the comment Viv and (I hope I'm not overstepping my 'bounds' here WDW)welcome to Wet Dark and Wild. You have described it so perfectly:DD

I must say these latest pics have invaded my subconcious - I fell hard for the LOTR jewelry especially the Evenstar and now, I've got my eye on another piece of jewelery. I'll have to study the POP game and see what's available. The belt, the belt...... erm..... where was I?

I feel so excited for the whole project. It would be wonderful to have the premier here in the UK where filming takes place. So proud of our Prince - HRH (His Royal Hotness).

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Morning Sheba! OMG - the belts... I must make a study of them - gulp... Obviously in a purely archaeological and academic sense... HRH! Like that very much :D And oh yes, a London premiere seemes like a very sensible idea to me!

sheba said...

Obviously in a purely archaeological and academic sense...

Of course, naturally *rolls eyes* :DD

You know, I'd love to hear from the make-up artist that had to apply the dirt to Jake's body - how the heck do they do that and be ...... sane???

Wet Dark and Wild said...

I'd want to take a lot of time and care applying the dirt to Jake's body, as, obviously, it has to be historically accurate...

sheba said...

LOL! Of course you do! Additionally, you have to first apply sun protection then painstakingly look at continuity shoots for exactly where to apply the dirt and make-up. ..... And they pay someone to do this job???!!!

Having some fun today watching the Olympic tennis (Roger Federer) and Jaking. All those hot, sweaty athletic bodies..... Oh My! :DD

Anonymous said...

I am surprised at how manly he looks! I got the impression from the game character photos that Dastan was supposed to be younger.
As for this movie and Jake's look, I think he will be like Brad Pitt's Achilles...with a better accent. And that is not a bad thing.

Anonymous said...

I love him to pieces, but I have to say that Jake was at his most beautiful in October Sky. You could just see the sweetness and the honesty and the totally glowing goodness shining out of him. When I saw him back then, I just knew...

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hi Sheba :D Continuity is very important. I do worry about sunburn in that hot sunshine though. Enjoy the tennis!

Hi Anon 13:38 :D I've never been a Brad Pitt fan but I did swoon just a tad for Troy!

Hey Anon 13:40! I absolutely love October Sky, and I can see so vividly in my mind the scenes where Homer's lowered into the mine. I've never fancied young Jake but I love your description of young Jake - he really does radiate all that.

Is it home time yet....?

Well, I think I'm starting to come around to liking the costume. I think I was so stunned by the pics of his bare chest, that I couldn't notice anything else! I'm noticing the styling details of the trousers, and the material (suede-ish?), the seams and the fit, that highlight his lower body shape without being too much, and the boots. I like the detail of the boots around the knee, not sure about the foot part. The pants look good for riding horses, or active stuff, like parkour. I do like the colors now, soft browns and subtle reds, and love the belt and the buckles/medallions on it, and the neck chains. More please. ;)

Hi Anon :D I've been noticing the little details too, now I've calmed down a bit! I like the trousers too, and I love the colours of the browns and reds. And I especially like the jewellery and the belts of course! Just want to see more :D

From some angles, Jake's hair doesn't look too bad. From other angles, I can't stand it. I'm hoping the wig will eventually disappear as Jake's real hair grows in.

I disagree with those who think Jake is too muscular in those pictures. I think he is absolutely perfect. Just take a look at "300" or "Meet the Spartans" or any of Cecil B. DeMille's Biblical epics. Muscles everywhere!

Besides, some of the people who designed the original Prince of Persia game are working on the movie as well, and Jake had to pass muster with them.

Got that song in my head now imagining Jake as HRH striding along with Reece to: This is why I'm hot
This is why I'm hot
This is why
This is why
This is why I'm hot

I'm hot cause I'm fly
You ain't cause you're not
This is why
This is why
This is why I'm hot

He knew, he freaking knew - and he tried to tell us earlier but would we listen? ... Noooooooo

I'm starting to get used to it. It's just that he looks so intense! If they add chest armour and forearm cuffs, I'm a goner. I hope he does grow out his own hair, it would be perfect. Oh and their hotel is just an oasis - just beautiful and peaceful and the colors! They didn't leave it all day on Sunday? Hmmmm . . . kissing Jake from the top of his head to his toes would probably take the better part of the day, I would imagine. ;)

Hey Sheba! In fine voice tonight - I like what Jake is doing to you! :D

Hi Anon :D It's some look, isn't it?! And we do need to see it with all the other bits of costume and accessories but it could be completely breathtaking. That hotel looks absolutely gorgeous!
