Best dressed medieval blurry-faced Persians and Maggie Gyllenhaal powers a smile

Thanks to Cloneweb, here we can see what all well-dressed medieval Persians will be wearing this year - or at least in 2010, after we get to see the full wardrobe of the Prince of Persia on the big screen. Admittedly, little attention will be paid to these costumes on viewings one to five (and the blame for that lies firmly on the broad, shirtless and armoured shoulders of Jake Gyllenhaal), but, at some point, we will notice that there are other characters in the movie apart from Prince Dastan and this is what some of them will be wearing - especially those with blurry faces.

Points to note when you reload your own wardrobe - arrows, padded tunics, pantaloons and boots (suede or leather) will be de rigeur but shields and scimitars will be optional, mainly due to space issues.

Power a smile

Maggie Gyllenhaal is 'teaming up with Duracell today to direct a nationwide casting call to find Duracell Holiday Ambassadors who will help "Power A Smile" this holiday season. The winning ambassadors will work alongside Gyllenhaal... in the Duracell "Power A Smile" campaign to spread smiles and cheer to children in hospitals throughout the country and in their own communities.'

"There is nothing more important to me than helping to keep children everywhere healthy, safe and happy," said Gyllenhaal. "I am thrilled to join Duracell and the young ambassadors to do even the littlest bit to make that possible and spread some joy this holiday season."

I totally agree with Xenia. Jake has a smile to lit up whole rooms and Maggie is no worse.
