Jake Gyllenhaal 2009 - When 12 months are never enough
It cannot have failed to have reached your attention that the makers of calendars have deleted Jake Gyllenhaal from their lists for 2009. This outrage against Gyllenhaalism goes beyond the pail and means that, because of them, my entire year next year will be spent a day out of sync. This protest post, therefore, is addressed at all producers of 2009 calendars who think that people don't want Jake smiling or smooching down on them from their kitchen and bedroom walls from January to December 2009. This is my selection...

I only use a 12-month on one page calendar (what do you call those?), and I always create my own and it's always a BBM picture.

I had a Jake calendar in 2007. OK, I had two. Yes, I was crazy. One of them I gave to my friend when she fell for Jake after seeing "Proof" with me. She put it in her kitchen. Ausgust Jake was once sprinkled with oil. Very badly. Because I was cooking.In my friend's kitchen. I was really sorry. Jake forgave me.
Exactly, Winterbird :D We can do our own. I was purposefully avoiding Movie Jake pictures, that would need to be the alternative calendar - so many to choose from!
Hi Zodiac! I am horrified to hear August Jake was smothered in baby, sorry cooking, oil. I'm afraid to say that I have three 2008 calendars! Never enough Jake - that's my mantra. You must treat August Jake better... :D

Er. . . I think January and March are repeats and even with Jake's pretty face to gaze at if you think I'm gonna suffer through the snow and sleet again, you've got another thing comin'!

That's really disappointing not having a gyllencalendar for 2009 :-/
But after all it's definitely better making our own personal calendar :) hopefully Jake will please us with some new beautiful pics by the end of 2008... hopefully... he's keeping us on a too strict diet, and diet aren't allowed at Christmas time..

WDW thank you for making me your calendar boy for 2009 I'm really honored. But I don't get it I'm only in 1 picture. Aha....you must be worried about only using studio fotos that I signed off on and not using pap pics....but WDW its okay I don't mind if you use pap pics of me because I know you now and you're a really cool lady. (I really want to say bitch but I know you won't like it because you're a 2 legged) So now feel free to put my fotos in for the other 11 months and then you can delete Daddy.

Sorry for coming back with a completely off-topic post, but I've just happened to read an article on the web about a young Scottish singer named Amy McDonald, who dedicates songs to Jake, like one titled "LA".. I've never heard of her and wondered if you know about her, they say she's pretty famous in UK :)...I would have really skipped the article, if it hadn't been titled "..and sings for Jake Gyllenhaal" ..you don't happen to see his name that often on news pages here..

Oh WDW, 12 months of pure pleasure, thank you for your gift! Actually I'm thinking about using yor pictures to change my desktops each month of the year (sometimes I can change it twice, wow).:)
Regards the discontinuing of Jake calendars you lamented WDW, I don't know, call me crazy but I have a feeling that it could mean they (even if I don't know who exactly they are, Disney people maybe) are, trying to put some kind of gap between the old Jake (i.e. barely one pap-pic after an entire month, no news) and the new Jake, the blockbuster actor, the hero, The Prince...Expect an excess of Jake gadgets in the future. I'm in a 'think positive' day, today. :)

Hey Xenia! Love the thought of you using the pics as desktops :D That is very interesting what you say about the calendar and how this could be a way of having a 'natural gap'. Hmmm. Be interesting to see what happens with the next calendar - hopefully next year. I wouldn't mind an excess of Jake gadgets.

Hi there Get Real! I'm glad you liked the pics - I think all jake calendars should have at least 24 months (most of them taking place in the summer of course...).
I just have to add to the praise already given to Amy McDonald.
She is so wonderful with such a beautiful pure quality to her voice. I woud highly recommend going to see her live if anyone gets the chance. She is a brilliant live performer.
I'm a bit late, but wanted to say, I will miss my Jake on the wall, too!! I've had him for two years now... And I will miss my Brokeback calendar, too...
Maybe making your own one is really the way to go... Then you can pick the pics you really like... On the other hand I might feel even more freaky/ creepy when somebody else sees my selfmade calendar than I felt when people would see the bought one... LOL!
But I don't know how to make a nice one, I don't have a photoprinter and when I do this "create it online and let them print it and send it to you" thing, won't I get into trouble for copyright stuff? Need to think about this... ;)

Hi Paul - I had no idea about Mark's brother - that's terrible! I very briefly met him in LA a couple of years ago. A nice guy. Fingers crossed for him and his family.
When (not if) they make a movie of the Astor/Marshall family battle, I think that Maggie Gyllenhaal could play Mrs. Astor as a young and middle-aged woman. I say this because people described how blue-green Mrs. Astor's eyes still were when she was in the hospital for pneumonia at age 104. Also, in pictures of Mrs. Astor taken in the 1950's, her skin reminds me of Maggie's skin.
