Jake's birthday dinner in Santa Monica (don't mention the boots...)

Jake Gyllenhaal dined out with Reese for his birthday supper at the Il Ristorante di Giorgio Baldi. And, while he and Reese could savour the Tuscan treats, we are given the birthday gift of a good look at Jake's hair, sans-beanie, and it looks to me - and I'm guessing - like hair extensions have now been removed (conversely, it looks like Reese has had some added). But, irrespective of one's feelings regarding Jake's suit (and boots), it is so good to see Jake smiling and laughing on his special day. I wonder if singing waiters brought out a cake with candles...

In this last picture below, I'm wondering whether Jake and Reese forgot to pay - isn't that the chef in hot pursuit? Fortunately, Jake hasn't noticed because he's busy wondering which pap to take out first.

A big thank you to IHJ for the pictures - you can find many more there.

Oh WDW, you crack me up :D
They do look like they're trying to escape from the chef without paying. Reese is already embarrassed and is all like "OMG, honey, drive away as fast as you can":)

I had to write this thing, this report thing on Saturday. Not a good day to write a report. I'm happy your shopping wasn't very tiring.

Thanks Zodiac, I think! It's just that picture reminded me of when I was in France years ago and had a truly horrible meal so we refused to pay, and the chef ran after us! Jake looks like he enjoyed the getaway!

I'm glad you got your report done. My shopping was exhausting!!! Or, the fact that I had to finish it off by playing Mario at the Olympics on my Wii and finishing last in every event...

The first pic is bit weird... the angle is not very flattering, but the following ones are good though, that's some suit he's got on!

makes me want to have Italian food too... you and your wii! LOL... I got myself a leather jacket for xmas today and have just made my Jake xmas card, so all my xmas things are mostly done :)

Hey Winterbird! That is some suit, that's for sure... I like how Jake gives us a good look at his hair. I love a good restaurant. Fishcakes for me tonight :D

I like the sounds of the jacket and the card :) My wii is a source of amusement to Mr WDW too as I am last place in every game I play at the moment, but I will improve! These games are too hard for grown ups... I bet Jake would be good, he should come over and give me some tips :D

Good night, wet dark!
Jake, you did it put a smile on my face.
Jake love you love you love you love you love you
Someone needs to clean your shoes!

I am sick! I never thought it would acquire chickenpox after adult!

OMG Monica! I am so sorry to hear you have chicken pox! I had it myself last year (caught it in Cannes when I saw Jake) and it is horrible. I'm sure you have already, but do make sure you go to the doctors and get the antibiotics. You can get really good creams too. I know just how you feel so if you want to chat, just email me. I'll do all I can to entertain you in the meanwhile and we'll all try and cheer you up.

I hope Jake will be out and about to put a smile on your face - maybe he'll clean those boots! Take care, Monica *)

Hmmm, interesting suit ;o)

Poor Jakey tho, not getting to drink on his birthday as he was driving. You'd've thought they could have found someone to drive them around-I'm sure there'd be many volunteers!

Monica said...

Yesterday was not feeling well. With a lot of headache and pain in my body.
This morning I went to the doctor and found out that I am with chickenpox.
I am also with those brands in the body!
Thanks for the support, wet dark!
You're a sweetheart.

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Hi Anon! yep, that is quite a suit... :D Where do I sign up to volunteer? I'd be very happy to drive Jake around (although I can't parallel park so he'll have to do the parking)

And I meant to say, the dodgy boots with suit look reminds me of Heath at one of the Brokeback photo opportunities-cant remember which one but he showed up in a smart suit and messy boots.

Awwww

Do take it easy, Monica. I had awful flu like symptoms for about 2 days before the first signs it was chicken pox. That's good you got to the doctors so soon. I'm afraid you're just going to have to sit back and do nothing but Jake for the next two weeks :) We'll keep you company too.

Hi anon! I thought of Heath and his boots too... I'm watching Kight's Tale at the moment :)

Ooh,naughty WDW, n-a-u-g-h-t-y;)

What?

Good night, everyone.

P.S. Where are the words?

Wet Dark and Wild said...

Naughty Zodiac! n-a-u-g-h-t-y :D I still have words, mine says persi, which, with a different spelling, is the name of my car :) G'night!

Hey there!

Great to see Jake out and about! His face and hair look very sexy but the suit does not work...oy. I agree though, Anon, that Jake does have the Heath look going on.

Sorry you have chicken pox (((Monica))) and hope you feel better from your flue (((WDW))). WDW, the Wii is so addictive! We are constantly playing it in my family and will be again next week. :)

Very cool that you got a leather jacket and made Jake cards, Winterbird!

Sheba, so very cool that you did your icebreaker as a Gyllenhaalic. :D

I just got in after seeing a great movie, The Wrestler. Mickey Rouke is brilliant and will be up for an Oscar for sure. It is in limited release but see it if it comes out in your area. Last weekend I also saw Michelle Williams new movie, Wendy and Lucy. She was excellent as always and just as heartbreaking. It is also in limited release but a must see.

Got my provisions because we are getting a ton more snow tomorrow. As it is the streets are icy and mess from yesterday. Hope everyone, like Pia and Paul, dealing with these storms is okay and warm.

The word is voracepe

Hi Get Real! Glad to hear you've got your provisions in. I really want to see Michelle's movie - I hope it makes it to round here. I do agree about the face and hair - very sexy. The suit is definitely somewhat questionable :D I'm glad Jake had such a nice time. Have a good evening :)

Oh man . . . you don't want to know what my word verification is tonight, after looking at these romantic and sexy pics of Jake - maninsu, is that anything like tiramisu? With kisses. Sorry, I just couldn't resist. Love the candlelight. Reese looks lovely here too, I like her with her long hair. I like the one where she looks like she's trying to say something in private to Jake, with her hands over her face a bit, and he's laughing a wonderful laugh. :)

Oh thanks god a smile!
And oh my god a suit! hahaha!
No, I'm not looking at dirty boots, my sunny smile is back and this makes me so happy I don't even notice if there is or there is not a blond woman with a chin beside him! :P

Mônica, I cant' believe you've got chicken pox! This is horribly painful in an adult. I'm so sorry for you and hope you get well really soon. Before I forget, Feliz Natal pra você...melhoras!
I'm living tomorrow to spend Christmas with my parents in Curitiba, so maybe I can't come to wish you all happy holidays.
So....
Happy Holidays, ladies.

WDW, please tell Atticus I miss him like hell, and ask him to lick Daddy's cheek for me.
May Santa bring us all a lot of peace and love.

xoxo

JAAAAAAAAAKE! Damn you! I stood by you when other's dropped you like a hot potato when the Reese thing started or when you wouldn't speak up about Heath's death! I even stood by you when you said you liked to watch a pig being slaughtered! But I am afraid I will have to say good-bye to you NOW! YOU CUT YOUR HAIR WITHOUT EVER SHOWING IT PROPERLY TO ME!!!!!!!! How could you??? *sobs* Aaaarrggghhhh!

Just joking of course, but... DAMN!

You redeemed yourself a bit, though, because I loooove your shoes (I love it everytime you don't wear sports shoes anyway...) - although I find the anthracite grey sweater and those shoes a bit odd together with the blue suit...
Next time an anthracite grey suit, please! ;) (although I have to admit, the suit does look grey, instead of blue, in some of the pics... magic?)
I don't find the suit on it's own so bad, though... I would like to touch it, it looks like it would feel wonderful, soft... (Actually I would love to touch without the suit as well... ;D)

I would really like to know what kind of mischief was going on in their minds while they drove away laughing... I like it! ;D

LOL, thanks for reminding me of the singing waiters at peoples birthdays... I have never experienced such a thing here in Germany, but I witnessed it on several occasions in South Africa and the US and I always felt so sorry for the people who were having their birthdays... I thought if that was ever to happen to me I would happily kill everybody involved afterwards... :D :D

Sorry to hear about your chicken pox, Monica! I hope you will not have to suffer for too long (LOL, that sounds a bit like I wish that somebody would put you out of your misery soon... Of course I don't mean it that way...)
You poor thing, WDW at least got to see Jake when she caught it...

And Monica the Other going to Curitiba? My company has a plant there... Otherwise ignorant me would have never heard about that place...

I wish all of you a wonderful 4th Advent!

While trying to post this I went through different words: calikerp, natnera and now the last one is aurbagga - sounds like a character from Star Wars...
Huh? Another one: ingee! (that must be a blogger shout-out to a lovely person, not sure if he frequents this site, though...)

Uli I think they were laughing because the chef came out and threw eggs and the paps.

Anonymous said...

Sorry forgot to add there is a video on x17 of it.

Uli said...

Eggs at the paps? Seriously? LOL!

Hehe, my word: fundog!!!

Good morning everyone! Up late again this morning as I've been up most of the night coughing :(

Hi Anon :D Now that's a proper word, I have redurl unfortunately. I have images in my head of Jake by candelight - a beautiful thing :D Personally, I preferred Reese's hair with the bob.

Hey Monica O! Well, it's a kinda suit, I'spose... It is good to see a wide smile :D We'll be sure to pass on your message to Atti and see you in the new year! Have a great holiday in the sunshine!

Morning Uli :D OMG Jake cut his hair without telling you! You and your suit description :D I do like the boots, myself, even though they're not Nike, but I think that suit's seen better days. But I like Jake wearing just what he wants to wear :)

I have had singing waiters inflicted on me more than once. Also, I have been dragged on stage at various events (pantos etc) because my birthday is on New Year's Eve - many years of embarrassing memories! Have a lovely day, Uli!

Anon, that's so funny! Thanks :D

I found the egg-throwing video! The beginning is really sweet, with Reese resting her head on Jake's shoulder. He even whispers into her ear! Here:
