So... I've been putting my thinking cap/beanie on and pondering why Jake has been subjecting his poor feet to so much toil lately. This is what I've come up with - other suggestions are welcome.
1. Lance Armstrong has selected Jake as the new LiveStrong sports collection catalogue model.
2. Jake is roadtesting a new make of sports shoes, after years in which his feet have moulded into the Nike shape.
3. Jake is continuing a fitness regime that can only mean that a new film is in the offing and soon, and not the sort of film where he would play a couch potato - but maybe a footballer? Maybe a coloniser of space (the moon, say)?
4. Jake is producing a fitness DVD, like many other stars in the post-Christmas season.
5. Jake ate too much over Christmas.
6. Jake has realised he cannot live without Hotel Chocolat Marzipan Chocolates and this is the price he must pay.
7. Jake is trying to give me, and other lardbutts, a guilt complex.
8. The Trainer has a new movie role and Jake is The Trainer.
9. Jake likes to get out and about.
10. Jake has lost his car keys.
11. Jake is in a rush.
12. Jake knows we like it! But sleeveless next time please, Jake. I thought you knew that...

Who ate too much over Christmas? Well, me for one, but Jake is almost certainly too virtuous for that.
Sleeveless shirts? That is reserved for only the hottest weather, which nobody north of the tropics is getting at this time of year. Go easy onh Jake. Aren't short sleeves close enough? He probably didn't have to go short-sleeved, but he knew his fans would want to see them, so he was nice. :-)
Hey Winterbird! I've been thinking of Jake jogging away while I've been tucking into my gnocci with tomato and red wine sauce and rhubarb crumble :D That's the reason - To tease Uli! Our attitude towards Jake's hair is much more sensible :)
Hi Paul :D I fear you're right. My guilt complexes are abundant and well fed. I do hope Jake got the chance to overindulge a little at Christmas. After all, if you don't indulge, you can't have theguilt, and where's the fun in that? But... shirt sleeves are not enough and never can it be said that they are. But, yes, very nice of Jake to let us see some muscley arms even durng this wintry time.

He does seem to be working out rather hard for a movie that is just about wrapped. Maybe the reshoots(?) or whatever is they are doing on the PoP set involve lots of shirtless scenes. We can only hope. Or else it's reason number 7.

Hey Amy! That lady demonstrates why big hats are a NO NO in LA/Santa Monica - they put you at risk of missing Jake and, as such, should be left at home. Leave the hats to Jake, that's my motto.

Hi Get Real! Sweaty and shirtless Jake would be a great way to warm up through these cold weeks. We've had it very cold, now had a day of slightly warmer rain all day and now we're due more cold! So how much do you think Mr Personal Trainer pays Jake to run with him?
The price to run with Jake depends on how much clothes he wears. Two examples: (1) double thickness sweat pants + Lycra orange bike shorts + turtleneck sweatshirt + long sleeved tshirt + hoodie + gloves + knit hat = manageable cost with 10 year finance plan. (2) Swim trunks + sunscreen = If you have to ask you can't afford it.
(3) Sunscreen only = be richer than Me.
Very funny post WDW, it made my crazy-busy-at-work-day a little lighter. :)
Oh I truly hope all this running is for #3 if not for the mere pleausure of sweating and getting exausted...
But, if there will have to be one, I want my own copy of LiveStrong Catalogue and one of that fitness DVD even. To better choose my sport clothes and do my gym exercises in front of TV, of course.:)
