Jake out about in BH, 20 January, and An Education a great success

After all the excitement of yesterday, it's so good to see Jake Gyllenhaal again. Thanks to IHJ, we can see Jake out and about in Beverly Hills yesterday (20 January), looking great and very coordinated in layers. I can forgive the beanie because the Nike is back.

Meanwhile, Peter Sarsgaard and Carey Mulligan's movie An Education opened this week at Sundance. It was a huge success and fought over by a number of hopeful distributors - Sony won. It's good to hear that Peter's English accent sounded realistic - or 'top hole' as one might say.

Includes pictures from IHJ and the Daily Mail.

Good morning!

Jake looks good in his beanie... or maybe I'm used to it now. I think he drinks too much coffee/tea... we have to teach him the goodness of tequila, don't we? :P Plus I think Jake is a secretly an affectionate drunk :)

Look forward to Peter's movie! Sounds great.

Morning - oops afternoon - Winterbird! I love this outfit of Jake's and the shirt matches the car :D Looks like a water bottle this time, or maybe a big hip flask :D I can't wait to see An Education, and I'm pleased Carey is getting such good reviews when she is in brothers as well of course. Have a good day and wrap up! Chilly out there...

Hi All

I love Jake's outfit too especially that the Nikes are back:)

I am really looking forward to seeing An Education. I was delighted to read the great reviews aswell especially for Carey. There is a great cast in it. Alfred Molina is a great actor though whenever I see him I can't get his performance as Doc Ock in Spiderman out of my mind!! Don't know whether that's a good or bad thing.

My word is restsyco - interesting!

Have a great day:)

Jake is looking good, in a sort of scruffy kind of way I'm getting used to, same for The Beanie.
Is he still filming PoP reshoots (if ever)? The mind boggles...:)

On another note, great Inauguration night for Obama, for the USA and for all of us. Let's try and make this world a better place now...

My world is cartioni which could sound Italian, but it isn't.:)

A good afternoon to WDW and everyone. :)

Rumor has it Jake is still there. He has to wait for the 2 big trucks that have his car wedged in to finish their business so he can leave.

Its a good thing he had a stick of gum and coffee for dinner or else he would hve starved.

Hey Carol! I can't wait to see An Education, but I reckon that's a bad thing about Alfred Molina. I'll be glad to see him in a film with just the two legs!

Hi Xenia :D I hope you had a good night. Just amazing. I do wish they would do this sort of thing when we have the day off though and can watch it all. I hope I get to see some footage of what happened later on, after the parade.

Hey Trapped! OMG that's so funny :D I saw those pics and I did wonder about the big vehicle. There's no way I could get out of there. So, yeah, good for the supplies :D

I can only wonder what the Gyllenhaals think about alcohol use. The little that I actually know is what Stephen said about his father's drinking in some of his poems. Even allowing for poetic license, it has to be seen as cautionary.

But we don't often see pictures of inebriated Jake. I hope he's keeping things under control. Certainly, Paris and Britney and a few others gave drunkenness (and themselves) a bad name last summer.
Austin Nichols had a DUI arrest around that time as well. I can sympathize with the urge to be social in that kind of high-visibility environment where so many people give parties so often.

But, as Matt Damon has pointed out, the film industry is *extremely* competitive. You can't make it if you're impaired by any kind of substance abuse. In any event, Jake is far more likely to be seen carrying coffee than any other kind of beverage
